Thank you for this video! It is so funny that I saw it for the first time today. Today would have been my mom's 63rd birthday. July 9 2009 thru July 12, 2009 we went to Ft. Payne Alabama for a girls get away. Turned out to be her last. This video is beautiful and reminds me so much of Ft. Payne and the Lookout Mountains. Thank You!
@camay116 You're right, does look like that part of the state. My husband and I went to Fort Payne for our honeymoon 22 years ago, had a great time hiking etc. and still consider it one of the world's most beautiful places - as well as one of the most inexpensive places we've been to relax.
@khakiflower i want so badly to visit there again. i actually want to move there. i absolutely love the area, the land, the people. so beautiful. after visiting this area, Alabama songs, some of them, have a totally different meaning. i see why they wrote some of the songs, i see the true meaning of songs, such as My Home's in Alabama... i can't wait for the day i can say that.
this is the alabama song that made me turn from rock to country i am now a proud dixie boy that is proud to say i'm not that way anymore my raisor is rusted and my barber is dead
Next time I come home I'm gonna swing by here and go canoeing.
