Well the "debate" is not amongst those who are in the field of science, ALL scientists accept evolution they just debate the details. The debate in creationism v evolution is in the media and the public. i personally have no idea what they are doing debating this since it is the equivalent of butcher debating with a plumber about the methods of planetary formation from protoplanetary discs.
