The end of the series brings me to tears every time. From Aang fulfilling his hard fought destiny, to Zuko becoming Fire Lord in spite of a lifetime full of doubt, Katara and Sokka doing their parents proud, and most of all . . . Uncle Iroh reclaiming his tea shop to "play Pai Sho every day."
Avatar The Last Airbender was honestly one of the best series i've ever seen. It had an amazing story, amazing music, and so much more. I honestly hated that it had to end and it made me sad when it did. At least I can look forward to The Legend of Korra. Still, Avatar The Last Airbender was perfect in every way and ended perfectly.
at the end around 3:27 i imagine aang clearing all the destuction and finally reaching peace with himself from the show. that part and many others makes me want to cry;) cant wait for Korra and i really hope they have the same composer::)
@ohmigoditsL I heard Korra has the same composer. Too bad its Korra and not Roku, or book 0 of Aang. He did alot before he found out he is the avatar. Damn would be nice to see 20 episodes with Aang, Gyatso, bumi etc...
Also some episodes about Iroh cant hurt. Like how he saw Rokus spirit guide?
@Superiorer I'll admit, I was a little upset to learn Katara would be the only original character remaning. However, I think the main goal was to make this next series an entirely new experience for everyone. It's hard to devolop a character past the point of their previous transformation, so new characters means new challanges.
@Superiorer Also Mako (the voice for Iroh) died during the making of the original, so while I would love more story on my absolute favorite character, I wouldn't want anyone else to play him. This is why in the new avatar, Korra's best friend is Mako, a fire bender, in memory of Mako himself. Honestly I'm excited for the entirely new journey the writers will take us on. After all the original creators are personally writing each episode and the new series is supposed to be darker themed. >=D
@MrThun6er Indeed, in season 3 Irohs voice is different. That's sad but doesnt change the way Iroh is written. Thats the most important thing for me, laughing about his wisdom and awesome jokes.

Alright no Iroh story then, yet book 0 and one season of Roku would be nice.
@Superiorer That is one of the reason's I'm exceted for the new series, the writers did such a consitantly good job on the last one. I'm hoping Iroh's personality will continue through Mako, so you don't feel like you lost all the previous relationships you've made.
Book 0 and a Roku story would be phenominal. I'm not sure what the main conflict would be and it would be hard to live up to "defeating Ozai," but there is alot of amazing story they could pack it there that I would love to see.

Ok, WHERE is all this Naruto, DBZ and Avatar rivalery coming from? Everyone has their own @#$%ing opinion and no one wants to hear it! I liked Avatar, then I liked Naruto (Still a Narutard) and I'm assuming at some point I'm going to switch to DBZ. So what if they over-powered Naruto and DBZ, THEIR GUY SHOWS!!! The creators of Naruto and DBZ didn't give a crap about what the girls thought. I'm sure more than half of you don't even watch Naruto or DBZ, so don't be b!tching about it.
@Glogirlglori First DBZ was my first anime, but I don't rate it above all the other shows. (Honestly, Akira Toriyama - the author - admitted he did not want to drag it on beyond the Frieza saga; but the demands of his boss & fans outweighed his own decisions.) I see value in ALL the shows I've watched; Avatar: TLA was just a "refreshing" new twist. (As far as Naruto goes, the story doesn't give a bigger damn over anyone other than the effing Uchiha.)
It's just this simple...any of the Avatars could kick Naruto's ass. In fact, DBZ is about the only show with characters the Avatar couldn't beat...because they're just stupidly overpowered anyway.

hey wait, the other other day when i was watching the Seige of the North Part 1 and 2, i realized that when Sokka and Hahn where sharpening their spears or watever, Hahn pronounced Sokka the same way M. Anyway, have you heard about the abridged series? You need to check out the Abridged version of Naruto by LittleKuriboh. It's hilarious - better than Fanboy & Chum-Chum. (In fact his latest installment, was a spoof on the first Naruto movie; and some of the main jokes included bashing M. Night for ruining the Avatar franchise.)
@LaughTrack55 (Little known fact: DBZ inspired the author of the Naruto manga.) Well the main concept of Naruto was introducing the tale of a ninja reject who wants to be recognized. Long story short, there was a two-year timeskip in the manga, but the teenage Naruto makes you DESPERATELY miss the younger Naruto (b/c Kishimoto decided to focus all his attention of the secondary character, whose a bad boy and possesses a sublime ability that's become the main focus of the story now.
@LaughTrack55 Naruto started out "strong" but now sucks b/c Kishimoto gave into his favoritism over the Uchiha. (Though, I'd have to admit, Madara's a better villain than Ozai.) DBZ's a classic; leave it alone! (Bash the new series that's coming out.)

Theres better fighting sences, more characters, more powerful fighting, more episodes, (The only thing I really didn't like about Avatar was because it was so painfully short. I was done with the whole series in a about a week).

@Pevensify I think Kishimoto wanted to end the series years ago; but his bosses want to milk it for what it's worth. (Part of me hopes the new villain in Korra is like Madara - done a lot behind the scenes - with a "twist" of Nagato - there's a reasonable explanation behind his actions...not your typical bad guy who wants to seize power.)
@worldends08 I don' t know Madara yet... I'm only about 100 episodes into Shippuden. But I also hope to see a more deep antagonist in Korra. Amon looks pretty beast in my opinion, but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll have a good characte.r
@Pevensify When I mentioned Nagato, I was referring to how the "failed" ninja system caused someone like him to appear in the first place. (I think it'd be deep for Avatar to include propaganda on both sides: with the Equalists & the City Government.)
@worldends08 Oh, I see. I have no way of guessing what Bryke will come up with, but I'm trusting it will be amazing. Bryan Konietzco mentioned at Comic Con that the and Mike have two goals to LOK: one, to make it better than the last show. And two, to leave no fan disappointed at any time in the series. So no matter what happens, I'm sure Korra will be great. =)

I loooove 1:54 because Aang comes in, wearing the traditional airbending master necklace, and that part made me cry because I really felt for him. A whole nation, an entire race...gone. And when Zuko stood in front of the crowds, making his speech, how every nation was represented in their brilliant colors except for air and their deep orange and yellow. That, to me, is the saddest part of the entire series and the center of his courage, to fight for his people.
@worldends08 that is very true. If Aang's descendants die out then perhaps there will never be a true air bending master again, or else the avatar will have to search in his past lives to learn airbending.
But the Airbender race won't be extinct because the race will continue through Aang and Katara (you know). And also by the time the next Airbender Avatar comes along, it will probably be among one of their Grand Children. The air nomad tradition will still be alive through history - through Aang.
@KoeniCCXizG I know that airbenders will still be around, but they won't be prominent at all. You can't get back an entire nation and culture and way of living. Each nation had it's own lifestyle, and more than likley Aang's descendants won't carry on the exact arts throughout the years, because they are a part of the Water Tribe heritage as well. Though you are right...air will live on through Aang.
Its true, but with Aang still around then cultural diffusion with undergo telling the stories of the nomads. Gura Pathik and Iroh before preached to Aang & Zuko about the nations and elements being one whole even though they ACT as if their divided. Even though the othodox Airbenders would be gone, what difference would it make if the nation and element blended into the other nations and elements. Who knows, a new culture might be created. (风水-fengshui-"air-water")
@KoeniCCXizG Well, in a fantasy world like Avatar, I couldn't help but wish there was some form of haunting born from the slained Airbenders. (I mean, they wiped out an ENTIRE nation that had STRONG spiritual ties - possibly stronger than the Water Tribe.)
@ChelseCreek84 It was very heart-warming to see his son, Tenzin, & his children adorned with Air Nomad clothes in some of the sketches from the "Legend of Korra."
I miss Avatar: The last Airbender. One of the most best episodes ever. I also hope that they make more Avatar: the last Airbender episodes. But they can't because they already ended it. you know, i was a kid when I saw my first episode of Avatar the Last Airbender. I think it was Nightmares and Daydreams. I was hooked.
Back then I didn't really understand the whole storyline, but now I realize how deep this stuff is.
The soundtrack is beautiful, the plot is beautiful, the animation is beautiful, everything blends perfectly.

@LaughTrack55 (continued after taking a deep breath.) It makes you wonder WHY it should be entitled "Naruto" since it doesn't seem like his story anymore. Anyway, have you heard about the abridged series? You need to check out the Abridged version of Naruto by LittleKuriboh. It's hilarious - better than Fanboy & Chum-Chum. (In fact his latest installment, was a spoof on the first Naruto movie; and some of the main jokes included bashing M. Night for ruining the Avatar franchise.)

@LaughTrack55 (Little known fact: DBZ inspired the author of the Naruto manga.) Well the main concept of Naruto was introducing the tale of a ninja reject who wants to be recognized. Long story short, there was a two-year timeskip in the manga, but the teenage Naruto makes you DESPERATELY miss the younger Naruto (b/c Kishimoto decided to focus all his attention of the secondary character, whose a bad boy and possesses a sublime ability that's become the main focus of the story now.

Theres better fighting sences, more characters, more powerful fighting, more episodes, (The only thing I really didn't like about Avatar was because it was so painfully short. I was done with the whole series in a about a week).

@Pevensify I think Kishimoto wanted to end the series years ago; but his bosses want to milk it for what it's worth. (Part of me hopes the new villain in Korra is like Madara - done a lot behind the scenes - with a "twist" of Nagato - there's a reasonable explanation behind his actions...not your typical bad guy who wants to seize power.)

Bryan Konietzco mentioned at Comic Con that the and Mike have two goals to LOK: one, to make it better than the last show. And two, to leave no fan disappointed at any time in the series. I loooove 1:54 because Aang comes in, wearing the traditional airbending master necklace, and that part made me cry because I really felt for him. A whole nation, an entire race...gone. And when Zuko stood in front of the crowds, making his speech, how every nation was represented in their brilliant colors except for air and their deep orange and yellow. That, to me, is the saddest part of the entire series and the center of his courage, to fight for his people.

But the Airbender race won't be extinct because the race will continue through Aang and Katara (you know). And also by the time the next Airbender Avatar comes along, it will probably be among one of their Grand Children. The air nomad tradition will still be alive through history - through Aang.

@KoeniCCXizG I know that airbenders will still be around, but they won't be prominent at all. You can't get back an entire nation and culture and way of living. Each nation had it's own lifestyle, and more than likley Aang's descendants won't carry on the exact arts throughout the years, because they are a part of the Water Tribe heritage as well. Though you are right...air will live on through Aang.

Its true, but with Aang still around then cultural diffusion with undergo telling the stories of the nomads. Gura Pathik and Iroh before preached to Aang & Zuko about the nations and elements being one whole even though they ACT as if their divided. Even though the othodox Airbenders would be gone, what difference would it make if the nation and element blended into the other nations and elements. Who knows, a new culture might be created. (风水-fengshui-"air-water")
