  • Hello, Very informative video! thank you so much.. i have to make a 2 tier cake... around 5 pounds. how much should the bottom tier measure and how much should the top one be?

its my first time so i have no idea.

  • whats the stuff you stick the 2nd tier on with ..:P? x

  • woww this cake is amazing wow u inspire me

  • Nice :-) thank you

  • are there any dowels in the bottom layer before you stack on the top tier or just the one you show in this video?

  • @Jellorous YOU CAN PUT 4 DOWELS IT DEPENDS UPON THE SIZE OF THE CAKE..

  • BEATIFULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL..i wanna make one but wanted to know where do i start

  • @bignicks124 Start with a single layer cake and marshmallow fondant. Then, start adding detail. It's not hard. (Marshmallow fondant: Put 16oz of mini marshmallows and 3 tbsp of water in a large bowl and pop in the microwave for 2 minutes. Mix and add powdered sugar a little at a time-and any flavoring- until it starts becoming doughy. Then lift out onto powder sugared surface and knead and add sugar til its not sticky. Leave over night, then reheat for 30 seconds to be able to roll out and use)

  • to you have to cut the dowel according to the height of the cake or its has been cut before they sell it ?

May i ask what is the size of yr round cake tin for both cakes please ?

  • to you have to cut the dowel according to the height of the cake or its has been cut before they sell it ?

  • how to backe that huge cake? or are that couple of cakes???

  • so di u have cake boards UNDER EACH CAKE?

  • This isnt how to MAKE.. this is how to decorate.. please title appropriately

  • how important is having the dowels in?

  • I have a question...

HOw do the people eat the cake if it has dowels in it?

  • @candmhere101 You take them out. You cut around them.

  • Great :)

  • Can I ask how you get the cake that big...regular cake pans aren't that thick.is it just a few regular size cakes layers and then you put the fondant over it? also, should you put frosting on first and then the fondant? Thanks!!

  • @abra819

Well you could buy cake pans that go up to that height at Michael's. Or you could make individual small cakes and put them together with icing, then dirty ice, then cover in fondant and decorate.

  • @abra819 ii have the same question,,,, how do they get that cake so "big"

  • @Alesya1982 buy a couple of cake pans. for example, buy two 8" round pans, then you just level and torte the cakes if you want a filling. you can even use three cake pans but that would make it super tall

  • nice work

  • Your cake looks beautiful. what do you call the thigs you put inside the cake to hold the 2nd tier? I am trying to make a cake for my son's bday and I want to make a 2 tier cake but i don't know how to add the second tier. Any advices? Thank You

  • @YUribe26 thank you...it's a dowel rods...you can buy it at micheals or ..jo-an.. it's from wilton brand.. thanks for the comnment...
