Hello, Very informative video! thank you so much.. i have to make a 2 tier cake... around 5 pounds. how much should the bottom tier measure and how much should the top one be?
@bignicks124 Start with a single layer cake and marshmallow fondant. Then, start adding detail. It's not hard. (Marshmallow fondant: Put 16oz of mini marshmallows and 3 tbsp of water in a large bowl and pop in the microwave for 2 minutes. Mix and add powdered sugar a little at a time-and any flavoring- until it starts becoming doughy. Then lift out onto powder sugared surface and knead and add sugar til its not sticky. Leave over night, then reheat for 30 seconds to be able to roll out and use)
dont read this cuz it really works, you will get kissed on the nearest possible friday from the love of your life, tomorrow will be the best day of your life howeveer if you dnt post this yo over 3 videos you'll die within 2 days, now that you started reading this.its so scary to post!post this to five other videos in 143 minutes when your done press F6 and your crushes name will appear on the screen in big letters...this is so scary buy it really works
Can I ask how you get the cake that big...regular cake pans aren't that thick.is it just a few regular size cakes layers and then you put the fondant over it? also, should you put frosting on first and then the fondant? Thanks!!
Well you could buy cake pans that go up to that height at Michael's. Or you could make individual small cakes and put them together with icing, then dirty ice, then cover in fondant and decorate.
@Alesya1982 buy a couple of cake pans. for example, buy two 8" round pans, then you just level and torte the cakes if you want a filling. you can even use three cake pans but that would make it super tall
Your cake looks beautiful. what do you call the thigs you put inside the cake to hold the 2nd tier? I am trying to make a cake for my son's bday and I want to make a 2 tier cake but i don't know how to add the second tier. Any advices? Thank You
