umm.. the blue indicator has nothing to do with that where the ball is going to end up, it's just pointing the player you're controlling at the moment. so like, for example, at 1:04 you're controlling Beckham, who's taking the freekick. this indicator changes place (for example in 1:13), it goes above Owen, because you're controlling him at the moment. so what i'm saying is that it just really shows you your players, not where you're aiming or anything like that. sorry, i just had to say this.

I nominate UEFA CL 2004-05 (though it's probably the same as FIFA 2005)... It allows you to aim at the exact spot you want to hit, and if you hit the power just right, it doesn't matter if it's driven or curved - you'll hit it (unless you choose a spot to close to the keeper or the woodwork).

duno how to do it on computer but on ps2 there's a way bettter way, aim 4 the far corner (even if the wall's a bit in front of u) then call a 2nd player to flick the ball out by pressing R2. when u hold down circle to shoot, also hold down L1 and you'll drive it in, if you aim to the right spot you'll score every time. Unless you are really far out, then you'll win a corner. If the wall's too far in front though, use this guys way

um i guess that's a good idea but what really works is just aiming the center of the screen where u wanna shoot. it doesnt work just once in a while to add "realism". there just isnt a crosshair. if you line up the ball with the post and raise it up so its right in the corner. you'll see that the keeper doesnt touch it that often.fifa 06 isnt that realistic. i average 4 goals on my record playin on all difficulties. but then again.....IM HELLA GOOD!

I play on PC.. I've had the game about a month, the only time I scored was when there was a slight gap between the post and the wall.. I put it all the way on the floor and moved to the left and kicked it in straight into the corner on the ground.. Haven't yet found out how to bend shots.
