I remember first seeing Jason Bateman in the 1980's in Silver Spoons, then Teen Wolf Too & then the show Valerie/The Hogan Family and finally in 1991 in the movie Necessary Roughness. Then I didn't see him again until Arrested Development in 2003 and then quickly appearing in one movie after another.I was always a fan and I thought it was great to see him make a comeback to popularity again. I know he spent the 90's battling a drug problem, and I'm glad he's found so much deserved success now!

It's funny how younger people associate him with Arrested Development. I know that show but never watch it. When I think of Jason Bateman, I think Silver Spoons, It's Your Move, and Hogan Family. Mostly It's Your Move, though, 'cause I was never into the Hogan Family. He was such a cutie.

@tramberly That's what I was thinking. I just turned 36 and I grew up with Jason Batmen from Silver Sppons and The Hogan Family. I know he did Arrested Development, but to me he's always from those other 80s shows. Hell he even did a guest spot on Knight Rider back in the 80s, as a kid who stumbles on the lost KITT. But I know I would have been the same way with older actors who did stuff "before my time", so it's not really their fault.

He had everything Ricky Schroeder didn't- looks, charm, charisma, talent. When they were on screen together, it was all about Jason. He was why I watched this crappy show in the first place.

There was jealousy behind the scenes, which is why Jason was written out, and given his own show. He was getting all the attention, and rightfully so.
