yes you should if you're playing hendrix....

besides the complete necessity of using your thumb if you want to come anywhere near the thickness of hendrix's tone, the chord structures can really only be played by fretting the low E with your thumb. Hendrix is far from the only one, check out SRV, John Mayer, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton (ocassionally), Mark Knopfler, etc if you want to see other people use their thumbs, and hear the difference it makes in tone

its great, you did nice, but you should line it through your pc into a processor and use effects from there cuz when you film with a camera, you get tons of feedback. I recommend finding Guitar Rig and a foot board so you can record it straight from your pc. But like i said, that was great, you did well

Thanks. Could not find the tone with the strats. Fuzz pedals can sometimes sound great and other times not so good. I know Jimi struggled with tone issues at times because of fuzz pedals. He had concerts that he had unbelievable tone and ones where his tone was not that good. I have the pedals now that I could have gotten the right tone. When I made this I did not have the right pedals. The other thing is the PRS has a much faster neck than my strats. Peace. Brandon

I was quite lucky I took a bullet to the leg in Vietnam and I was sent home for 7 months I had written to my dad and told him how much I liked him after I had heard him over the radio in Nam and he bought me a ticket when I came back it was a great night.

I used a Strat in the Voodoo Child vid I did, but it was because of where and when my band was playing. Different circumstances I would have used a PRS Custom 24. petsnowflake has a great tone and feel here, right choice for him I think. :)
