There is some good advice here, but most of the stuff that is being shown here can be done...tada...with your fingers. If you are on a limited budget and aren't afraid to get slightly dirty, just avoid these brushes and do the same look with your fingers. Brushes do afford you a much more variation though :)

I do NOT like the 109 brush for liquid foundation. Even when I don't push hard, it sheds like crazy. I use coastal scents' foundation brush. It's good.

i just ordered the 88 palette from coastal scents, and a gel liner. so i decided to get some brushes from there because they are one of the few places that ship to australia. the E.L.F. brushes are so cheap, and ive heard great reviews, but dont post here. although i planned on getting about 5 eye brushes, i ended up getting a two sided one. one side is a eyeshadow brsuh and ones a liner/brow one. it was like 3 bucks, so i dont really care if it doesnt end up being so good.

I tried them out, and they actually work REALLY well, except for the angled brush is a little to thick for me. But other than that, they are actually not that bad. :)

I dont know. I have all those brushes, have used them ALL properly...along with my fingers too. My fingers work just as good. You don't desperately NEED a fancy 109 or stippler to get a very awesome look.
