I see it as just a portrait (to whomever wants to identify with it, may it be him or anyone else) about the so common "occasional twists" when one "doesn't care" and "just needs human heat"... and then the sour feeling that comes with the action deprived of any feeling for the person, when actually one would like to be called the right name at least.

If you listen to the whole album, with "keep yourself warm", you hear a whole lot of contradictory feelings over sex.

the woman gets his name wrong when they are getting intimate so he is correcting her with the name david. Or maybe the woman knew his name is Scott but he didnt want her knowing that so he named himself David to try and keep his identity surreptitious?

Name doesn't matter here. If autor intended his listeners to interpret it general, name is just a name. The lyrics are simply showing a guy whose in deep need of contact with women despite everything that's connected for making such relations (that's why he doesn't care, let's say he just want to twist some), but as he involves into this without obligations dancing he starts to realise that it becomes something more than just that, tries to convince her to that as well.

I heard of them from my brother (who may possibly watch Chuck...maybe xD).

Either way, this band is incredible. I'm so glad that those in charge of the music for Chuck have such incredible tastes. Because if my brother hadn't found this, I wouldn't have been introduced to my very favorite band.

Absolute amazing song. Its got amazing art-like lyrics and the playing of the instruments. Heard this song after buying the MOF Album, Mainly for "Modern Leper"and "Good arms VS Bad Arms" but its really opened my eyes on this band.
