  • 1..2...3...4 do doooo do dooo dooooooooooOOoOoOoooOOOOO ODO DO DO DOOOOOO dum dum do dod do

  • this band should get back together

  • @chjohnst They play one show per year in Providence RI

  • I must say....i love rock...and i think this is the most beautiful piece of music ever written...wouldnt think the two would combine nicely...but you guys rocked this shit out! Awesome adaptation

  • Normally I consider a rock version of such a great song to be utterly offensive, but I must say this is pretty well done.

  • like if e-dubble brought you here

  • Going to see them tomorrow at Lupo's for the BRU 10th year reunion gig with Brown Bird and Pete Kilpatrick Band!

  • @fizzexy So will I! I can't wait for the show!

  • this will def be playing at my wedding

  • this will def be playing at my wedding

  • ohh man this takes me back, they are so awesome live, my friend and i literally learned the lyrics to their songs by seeing them live. and seriously i can remember few things that were more fun than rushing the stage at lupos with my friends and like 50 other people and just jumping around like crazy to this song!

  • Sooooooo cooooool.....

  • Obligatory "the X people who don't like this are Y bad thing." comment.

  • ahh i wish they'd go to lupos again i love zox

  • rock on!

  • wow awesome

  • a different version on "canon"..thank guys!

  • what a lovely music...

  • This is how Canon is meant to be played. If Pachelbel were to be resurrected he would hear this and say "Yeah that's what I meant."

  • Found these guys via Pandora, been a fan ever since. Glad to see them making videos I can pass around :)

  • man, i first heard this about 6 years ago on a sideonedummy sampler, forgot about it until today, thanks for upping this man

  • i absolutely loooove zox.. they are just so amazing.. can't wait til they start touring again! love love love them!

  • @tammymsaylor They rarely are touring any more just been doing 2 shows in the past 2 years, both in their home town Providence, RI

  • @robm425 Yeah I know.. I saw them perform at Lupos last year...Missed it this year. They'll start touring again all over the place soon I hope :)

  • @robm425 Why did they break up? Or I guess why did they call it quits?

  • @DynamiteProd As far as I know they didn't break up they just spread apart to move onto different projects. Eli went to college on the West Coast and the rest of the band stayed on the east coast. They still do one a show per year in Providence, RI, their home city. I haven't heard any new songs by them though

  • saw these guys at their reunion concert last night at lupos and they really put on an excellent show. Big props to zox

  • @halosREALOG So jealous I missed their email announcement of the show .ZOX is my favorite band but obviously not enough if I don't check their web-page that often

  • LOVE IT!!!!

  • sweet toast!!

  • loved this. i love spin offs of classical music, as well as regular classical music. maybe that makes me lame. i don't care though. THUMBS UP!

  • Incredibly inspirating. Thank you for this great music.

  • Klasse n1

  • iii loooovvveee yyyouuuuuuu :) <3

  • Jerry c canon rock is the asian version and Asian metal anthem

  • of all the covers of this song on youtube, this is by far my favorite... my freind showed me zox a few days ago and they blew me away.. incredible

  • Comment removed

  • Good thing I am not a musician nor have any aspirations to be one then.

  • qhy do u think he put d major in the description?

  • It said d minor. after I double checked I edited my description to properly reflect the song to not have to deal with being corrected again

  • oook i get it now...

  • i was in a band about 5 years ago and played a show with zox and they played this song and totally blew everyone away. they are good on cd, but live is where its at. if you have never been to one of their shows, go, and truly experience music. these guys are amazing.

  • oooooooooooo i love this!!!

  • yeah!!! i was in one of theyr many shows when they use to play this song!!!! and belive me when they do it LIVE it sound even better, to bad they decide not to play it anymore!!!

  • actually theyve played this song at the last 2 or 3 zox shows ive been to

  • one of the greatest unkown songs known to man. waitt? lol but still true

  • I love this version so much !

  • really nice version of canon rock, well played, nice drum, clear bass,

  • their Version of "Canon in D" was written before "Canon Rock"

  • YAY THE POPPING HYUN JOON SONG :D

  • Superawesometastic.

  • wow u guys are great

  • I take back what I said before, about that Take Me Home was my favourite album.

I like all three albums, they're all great.

I hope ZOX comes and plays in the Netherlands soon. I see they were in Amsterdam about 3 years ago... So it'd be about time they'd come here again.

Like, there always seem to be 20 concerts in Germany, and one teeny-tiny concert in Holland...

  • i got married to this song halloween 2006.

it's one of the few songs that can make me cry...i only wish i knew why.

  • i also cry when remember i'm married.

  • When you listen to something that touches your heart, tears drops.

I have experienced it many times....

  • omg, this song is now on my ipod! <3<3

  • thanks, I was wondering.

  • love it

  • Spencer Swain is the man!

  • their first album was definitely their best

  • Wow! They're damn good!

  • different from the album version.. still kicks ass though xD

  • not a classic listener, but isnt this a remake of beetoven's song?

  • no patchelbel.... we did somthin bout him in school...

  • nope...

Pachelbel's Canon, also known as Canon in D major, by Johann Pachelbel

  • lmao year it was lik a year ago...

  • In my opinion Take Me Home: #1. The Wait and Line in the Sand: #2 & #3. At first I liked Line in the Sand, and would've put it at #1 or #2, after that I thought it sounded like a lot of other music you hear all the time. Now I like it again, after listening to it a few times. I like The Wait just as much, I think. I think Take Me Home is my favorite right now. I didn't like it all that much at first, but listened it a few times, now I do like it.

  • that violin is nice sounding great song

  • hahah cool, I've never seen this side of them. I found them listening to a newer song in an online radio. Great band

  • F*CKING AWESOME!

  • I remember seeing Zox at this catholic boarding school in RI. They even gave me a ride after the show. Now they're OMG FAMOUS and sold out. :( I dislike their new music.

  • if you mean msc then it's not a boarding school (hasnt been for a long time)

i go there and saw them there twice :P

    zox kicks ass

  • Portsmouth Abbey in Portsmouth RI.

  • yeah he has perfected that song...Spencer Swain is an amazing violinist and alot of the bands other music is better

  • albums in my opinon. The Wait (#1), Take Me Home (#2), Line in the Sand (#3). The only good songs on the newest album are Goodnight, and Another Attack. IN MY OPINON! you dont have to agree with this...

  • trop bien !

merci zoé de me l'avoir fait ecouté^^

    jtador fort <3

  • yeah totally not digging there new cd, line in the sand wtf

  • Yeah I wasn't either at first but after to a listened to it a bit and saw it performed live I have a better appreciation for it

  • Yes, I felt the same way at first, but after listening to the album a few times, I am starting to like it a lot, especially the first 3 songs. You can't expect a band's sound to not evolve a little over the course of 5 years.

  • I wish they stuck to this style of music their new cd is wack...

  • Wau.. Nice1..

  • I guess this goes to show you that the best rock doesn't need a singer!

  • i love this version so much

  • It's not "The Wedding Song," it's "Pachelbel's Canon in D Major"

  • if any1 has a link to the music sheet of zox's "canon" can u send it 2 me???

  • They played this right before Streetlight in Buffalo...and it was awesome.

  • oh man i was totally there and they were both amazing

  • zox is badass and so are u

  • The proper name for This song is Canon in D, not wedding song in D. If you can please fix that.

  • yea dude this shit was amazing live at the croc rock last night. mr fiddle player if you read this you are my hero.

  • they did this last night at croc rock in allentown, fucking awesome!

  • Dude, I was there. It was fucking amazing. I really thought there wasn't gunna be a good band last night besides Streetlight. They really surprised me. Skanking was really fun to these guys.

  • I saw them during the same tour in Chicago. My sis and I were actually following the elec. violin player when we were on our way there. We didn't know about Zox or found out it was him until we saw him thrashing on stage.. amazing band.

  • i lovw zox, i have seen them in concert many times

  • This is one of my favorite songs & was my gateway drug to ZOX, but this video is annoying as hell.

The music & vid streams are close enough to make you realize that there's supposed to be a connection between the playing & the images, but it's out of synch enough to drive you crazy!

  • This is an great song done in a new and innovative way. I wandered through a hundred Canons and this was, by far, the most fun. You did an excellent job!!

  • Spencer is my oldest friend, so I'm definitely not impartial. I've known him since I was six years old, and even then I knew that he was a musical genius... that all said, in this song I really think he reinvents Canon in an amazing way, so I think that daoud41 is way off base with his comment here. The musicality of this performance is absolutely amazing. Cheers to Zox, and cheers to Spencer, the violinist.

  • hey I also play the electric violin and I thought that was pretty sweet. Good job guys.

  • This is very cool!

  • WOW

  • the violin is electric, thats why it sounds out of tune, it really isnt.

  • Thanks for takign the time to check out the video...This is the one song that i knew had a huge violin part so thats why i recommended, in some other of ZOX songs he goes off in a great solo unfortunately i don't know which one is best.

  • Pachelbel's Canon is so boring. and even more when it's been played not correctly tuned. sorry dude, He's a great violonist but not really creativ. i'm a fucking perfectionist lol.

but thanks for sharing this vid, it's better thant the solo one ;)

  • I'm going to go ahead and say that Pachelbel's canon is one of the most "perfect" pieces ever composed, which is why it has survived for three centuries past his death. I will say that, though, that when I heard this, I was more like, hey, that's kinda cool, rather than blown away. I think you need to give Pachelbel a break, its not his fault his piece is played at every wedding and graduation ceremony so as to become cliche and boring.

  • 100% agree, pachebelbel's canon is probably my favourite peice of music, certainly up there, it is amazing.
