@Coolio7n Nah I'm gonna stick to bein single. Besides the coolest part of drivin that van is it's air horns my grandfather installed. Funny as hell when it scares people! Cuz, come on, no one expects that from a minivan...XD
The secret to being cool in a minivan is the Scandinavian Flick. Trust me.
Also, when you're pulling out of the school parking lot, because minivans have front-wheel-drive and an open differential, you can easily get it to do a burnout on one wheel if you punch the gas while turning.
The best solution, though, is to just drive well. If one of your friends has a cooler car, the minivan will easily keep up unless your friend breaks the law. A Porsche and a Windstar are equal on public roads.
However, being a geek, I think it is fashionable to be a geek/nerd in this day and age. I do get the occasional flirts and smiles while in the driver's seat of my Toyota Sienna.
Ya, i am 18, i drive a '99 lxi t&c M.V....... thats what i tell people so they think i drive something bad, lol, in actuality, its a '99 lxi town & country Mini Van....
hahaha when i got my driver's license at 17, I had to drive around in my mom's 93 plymouth voyager, and yes it's definitely hard to be cool in a minivan.
It's just an expression. Pinstripe suits remind me of 1920's gangsters. Not exactly what I think of when I visualize the Oak Ridge Boys. The guy to the far left has a nice suit, though.
btw i have the same minivan as the guy in the vid, mine is a 93 Grand Caravan 3.3L V6 but i don't have those wheels i got the crappy black steel wheels (took the gay wheel covers off) and i stripped mine out like a race car, everything that doesn't have to do with driving is gone except the CD player, all that weight gone makes it a lot faster, oh and i welded the door shut racer/Dukes of Hazzard style, had to because it wouldn't shut from a rusted out hinge lol
I saw these guys at Casino Rama three years ago and they were awesome and they are back at Casino Rama on October 10th and I am going back to see them again ....love their music and the drummer is hot too
I'm 35 years old and I make it a point to see these guys every time they visit my area. It's an absolute joy to see them in concert! If you haven't ever been to one of their shows - do it! You'll have a great time!
gotta love it - I may not drive a mini-van, and my kids are grown and gone from home, but I remember, oh, I remember! thanks to the boys for another great song :D
I'm 35, and teens think I'm old, especially when you realize that I got my driver's license before they were even born! (1989). Oh, and yes, I drive a minivan these days and I really like it! And I'm single! Seriously!
Hahaha. A toyota minivan with a sound system. The only way to make that any cooler is to crank up the Golden Girls Theme on that bad boy and take it for a slow cruise through town...with the blinker on the whole time.
so easy to be cool in it..dont buy chrysler mini vans buy toyta previa sienna or nissan quest and hook it up with sound system...haha that easy and buy actual rims not cover plates or fake spiners haha..like the song tho
Lol! That vid reminds me of a guy I knew in his mid-20s who had modded up a Honda Odyssey minivan - He then mentioned that he was married with four kids!!!
LovinCountry you wouldn't know what was good country if it bit you in the butt. The song and video is funny and there was no politics mentioned by anyone until you. You must be one of the Chixie Dicks! Dang did I say that??? Damned Strait!
i think the oaks havent lost there touch i think this video is funny and understandaing at the same time the video is about a american male that dreams of having a hot rod but hs has a fam so cant aford one so he has a minivan that what the song is about and i like the video cause there all drest like the men in black good going oaks keep up the good music and i hope that when they go on tour this summer i would like to see them live
WTF, that was a waste of a perfectly good Town & Country, you can't put a 14" air cleaner on a 3.8, shove a cone filter on it, also he ditches the factory alloys for some steelies a ricer spinners, WTF
my van was kool, it was actully fast, it wasn't weighed down by stupid neons, & fake exhaust tips
kingmotor since you apparently missed the point, the song is about the uniquely male heartbreak of giving up a hot rod ride in favor of a family. If you get a chance to listen to the rest of Front Row Seats, you'll find it contains plenty of songs on traditional country themes, all better than the fare spewed by younger artists.
I'm not a guy but enjoy this one because it tickles my funny bone in a way that nothing has in a long, long time.
are you one of the Oak Ridge Boys? seriously. i posted some of the vids but have no respect for those Bush-suckin sobs. keep yer politics out of my music
i agree they are real cool....but what the hell are they singing about? love? tragedy? heartache? no. FREAKIN MINIVANS! give me a break, have they written so many songs that they just dont have anything else to sing about without repeating themselves?
Toby Keith, Tim McGraw..give me a BREAK!! Today's artists will NEVER be as good as THE OAK RIDGE BOYS..They were and always will be the greatest country act ever!! This video makes most other new country videos look like total junk!! THE BOYS ROCK!!!

If you're the Oakridge Boys, it would be hard to be cool in anything... or period. If you're ME however, driving an Odyssey, it's fuckin easy.
