  • As a kid I wasn't fond of Liberace on tv . I appreciate his virtuosity now

  • I'm so glad I got to see Las Vegas Liberace Museum before it closed! What a talent!

  • So fast with his hands O.O

  • this is the song I'm currently working on and I'm a freshman in high school. I have one video from sixth grade of one song that I learned by myself.

  • @bloog510 but I don't have it on my channel, it's on my dad's

  • OMG I have a Baldwin grand, too!

  • back in mid 50's (i was 7 at the time)there was a gas station chain named"Speedway 79"this song was in there ads.i spent my adult years trying to find this tune.about 5 years ago,i stumbuled onto it and it still has all the speed of a fast mov ing car.

  • Heavy Breakfast Machine. :D

  • 0:42 how does he do that with such precision

  • I wonder if he can play Circus galop lol...

  • Oh the envy! Q.Q! I wish I could play like this!

  • Oscar Levant played this in the movie "Barkleys of Broadway. There is also a piano solo transcription available by Levant.

  • DANG!

  • i didnt know fingers could move that fast!!

  • GOOD FOR ARAM KHACHATRYAN AND LIBERACE

  • i feel exhausted just watching this

  • HA! watch 1:09, there is not public

  • Does anyone know if there is sheet music for the arrangement that Liberace plays?

  • Wow! He's good... and looks very happy! =D

  • That looks like his brother George - the middle of the three violinists - playing with him.

I'm sure Liberace would have been able to play the Cziffra arrangement. Look how 'easy' he makes this version look. He's just having fun with it. I doubt whether he really stretched himself over many of his pieces. He was a VERY capable pianist and much underrated by the musical snobs.

I wish I had half his technique!

  • the creepy part is when he winks into the camera...makes my insides feel...strange...just....strange

  • truly gifted

  • There are an infinite number of arrangements of the Sabre Dance, the peak of them being Cziffra's of course, but this is nonetheless very enjoyable to listen to and watch! The other instruments add to the performance too.

  • 0.43 BAM BAM BAM BAM!!

  • Almost seems as if he did this piece in multiple takes.

  • okay i listened to cziffra, and i still like this version better, but thats my opinion!!

  • I bet Cziffra was looking more weirdly when he was performing his Sabre Dance. =) Liberace is a brilliant performer!

  • shit that looks like so much fun xD i can only imagine how frustrating it must be to learn it though

  • OMG!! this guy is just fantastic...

  • I'd love to see him attempt the cziffra piano transcription of this piece! =D

  • @brain1012 He could probably have played it with some ease as he was such a gifted pianist.

  • @brain1012 I"m sure he could of done it if he wanted to :)

  • It doesn't even look like he's trying

  • @HaploTK114 he's young...let's guess his age here...I'd say 24...now I'll check

BORN 1919! WOW. so he was in his 30's

  • @HaploTK114 He isn't. He doesn't have to. A gifted man, indeed.

  • Thank you so much for posting these videos. A great showman and a great pianist = a great performance. Keep the videos coming please. Best wishes. Paul.

  • one of great peacies to play truly a fast song to play even ohe accordion

  • This guys character changes completely from when he's playing to when he's finished.

    Great pianist...

  • He was a gentleman.Perla.

  • Liberace reminds me of Elvis in many ways,

    - Behind all the glam & showmanship, there was this incredible talent which put him at the forefront of innovation & interpretation.
