Waylon is my fav country guy bar none. had the chance to meet him when I was 4, but he was a pretty scary dude circa 78 so I spent an afternoon on the statler brothers bus while dad and his jar of pills went to party with waylon. Wish I could go back in time and kick my ass!
This came from Don Kirshner's rock concert in 74' there are some other clips out there there all awesome and all hard to find if anybody out there has an auido copy i'll pay handsomely for a copy this song was the last song of Waylon's set as the band plays the musical outtrow and the part where Waylon says " hurry up my shit stopped workin " RIP Hoss
Waylon fans ought to check out Waylon's buddy Billy Joe Shaver, who wrote this song and all the other songs on Honky Tonk Heroes but one. And listen to Billy Joe's story about Waylon and the bar owner who stiffed them...and the dynamite.
this is the audio from a video look up "waylon jennings: Honkey tonk heros - live " in the beginning of that video you can see "rock concert" above the band in the background
In the clip you show an album called Rock Concert i have Waylons catologue and i don't see an album with that title ... is it a bootleg ... whatever this is the best version of this tune i ever heard... thanks great upload
Wow, is this great. Just fantastic. A very different version than the one on Honky Tonk Heroes. Keep em coming. Never heard of the Waylon Rock Concert Album
Waylon was the best and always will be the best, His music sounded better in the 70's then what anyone had come up with today...Waylon was ahead then and still ahead today...no one can even come close to that WAYLON sound.
I remember hearing this song on the radio the very first time in 1974. This was the song that made me a country music fan and made me a lifelong WAYLON follower. He was and always will be the GREATEST........
now this is my favorite i can still remeber the first time i heard this song it blue my mind with the accoustic guitar opening in the album version....but this version i better cause i love hearing waylon's guitar and the whoop whoop part
I'm crazy bout Waylon, but this is a rare one! Where'd you get it? It says RCA, but is it an import? I've got my record shop looking for it! Post some more! Thanks for the Ol' Waylon!!!
Where would country music be today without this guy? Wow.....10 years ago today that he passed away. Waylon will forever be one of my favorites.
