  • She has every right to stand up for her beliefs. "Pathanboii", I suggest you grab a rifle and get into the fight before running your cock holster. You have zero tact. I personally layed her son to rest, and to see how an oxygen thief like yourself can can be so disrespectful to a mourning mother really boggles my mind. Your parents should be walking around with their heads low for what they created in the man that you are.

  • America needs to be put in its place.

  • wat an attention whore, shaddap bitch, u fuckin sheep dont kno anything,.

  • Her son didn't die for freedom and Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Americans are so easy to manipulate. I advise YouTube readers to google Neoconservatives, the clean break, and the project for the new American century.

  • We may not share the same beliefs, her and I, but one thing is for sure: I thank Jesse and every other soldier that has died for my freedom. OUR FREEDOM! Those men are fighting for what they believe in everyday. GIVE their families respect. I know for a FACT that she said these things in her own words. This is how she feels. If you notice, she has tears in her eyes. Show a little compassion. I love the Strongs.

    ~Maria~

  • I PERSONALLY know this women and he family. They are the most amazing family that I have ever met. You can say what you want about the war, but keep your opinions about wonderful Vicki out of it. She's standing up for what she believes in and so did Jesse, what are you doing to stand up for your beliefs? Bashing a wonderful wife and loving mother?

  • Ignorant bitch. "We don't need another." And we won't have another if we put the focus back on FIGHTING terrorism here at home rather than searching for demons abroad and encouraging more terrorism through occupation of foreign lands in that area. Continuing to build new military bases. THAT is one of the prime motivators. We need to reduce the causes of Islamic terrorism while we fight, not aggravate it to make the fight so much harder.

  • Once again, some ignorant Bushite Republican woman repeats GOP talking points for political gain for some stupid lobbying group. Sickening. Did she even think this nonsense through before memorizing it for this ad??

  • neoconservative puke scum, get a life

  • Yes, you got it! A mother talking about her son who she lost in Iraq is a "neoconservative puke scum." Wow, for all their "we care about the people" rhetoric liberals are fairly cold-hearted when it comes to the death of our soldiers and the emotions of their parents.

  • This ad makes me pity her son even more. not just in the fact that he died in this war but in the way his mother is using him. (she has some sort of authority about iraq because her son fought there..... a load of crap in my opinon)

  • Deep You are a load of crap. It is her son and she has every right to speak her mind about his sacrifice and his death. You are a little punk coward

  • She has every right to speak her mind, but we can't feel disgusted that she chose to use her son's death for propaganda that endorses the very ideals that got her sons killed in the first place?

  • Scentless You can feel disgusted but stop calling her feelings Propaganda. Who are you the thought police that says her thoughts are wrong and yours are right. Her son is a hero and deserves your respect

  • Her opinions are her opinions, and my opinions are mine. However, her opinions are being used by Freedom's Watch, an organization trying to shape public opinion through their ads. That's propaganda.

  • To borrow a Wall Street term, the sooner we cut our losses, the sooner we can bring our troops home.

The sooner we can bring our troops home, the sooner we can act against countries that actually produced 911 terrorists.

  • I am a New Yorker who have lost several friends in the 911 terrorist attack.

I am also a proud supporter of OUR troops, last year alone I spent over $2,000 of my hard earn money to send boxes of care packages to troops in Iraq.

But while I greatly admire and appreciate the sacrifices made by the Strong family, I strong disagree Mrs. Strong's message on this war- Iraq doesn't have anything to do with 911... it was a total intelligence failure from the very beginning!

  • Hey Vickie, your son got SCAMMED by the false pretence he was protecting Freedumb. Your son was an idiot who got suckered into a bogus war to make Haliburton a ton of money. We are looking for a few gullible idiots to do the dirtywork. Lets protect little Johnney on the playground because some Arab will storm the school at any minute, not some disgruntled student with an AK47.

  • Hey Jackass.. I knew her son and he served with me. He was a very brave young man. Do not taint his memory because you think you know everything. Have you been there?... do you really know? Or do you think you know because you read the Washington Post and watch TV.

  • Hey Jackass, how many 911 hijackers were from Iraq? NONE. How many Nuke Bombs have you found there? NONE. How many citizens have died from this war on boths sides compared to Saddam? 150K Saddam, 400K Iraq war. Go follow orders, I prefer to think.

  • That was not the point of the post. You were attacking someone you know nothing about. I don't expect you to understand. I'm done with you.

  • I'm done funding Bogus wars.

  • Noone is going to read your paragraph comment. Let's make this simple. BULLSHIT.

  • Lies. If you want to punish the people that brought you 9/11 or prevent them from doing it again, impeach Bush and Cheney and restore democracy to the USA. I'm a wounded veteran and I can tell you that this war, like all war, is a racket constructed to enrich the rich and make murderers or corpses out of our children.

  • I am not simple minded. I was when I joined the army in 1965. Next week I will have another surgery to repair the damage I suffered 41 years ago when I was wounded. I can only say what I know to be true, that ALL WAR is a RACKET!

Take the profit out of war and watch it end, instantly! Some day yo will be able to look yourself in the mirror and say "You fucked up". It is not easy to admit a mistake but once you do, it becomes easy to change. Good luck.

  • 7 tours of duty jjjk? So you were an idiot 7 times? did you also installpuppet government in Panama because the rights to canal IN PANAMA were also to be turned over in a few years? How about Columbia? Spray any crops there like a terrorist in the War on Drugs? Stop any ships in open water for the same?

  • I bet you candy asses would not have the balls to look this woman in the face and say anything about her loss. Screw you all. Better yet come and tell my wife that our son died for no reason in Iraq you worthless waste of air.

  • Your son didn't die for no reason, it was for Bush's profits! How about your son fight for the constitution Bush used as triple ply Charmen to wipe his Ass with? I'll tell your wife she raised a brain dead gullible idiot seeking revenge on the wrong people, to her FACE!

  • How is bush making a profit? please explain this? the looney left has been saying this for years but no proof! much like UFO's and bigfoot!

  • Haliburton. Blackwater. They're just two of the companies that have or have had no-bid contracts to operate and "rebuild" Iraq. Companies that make weapons, tanks, and planes, and oil companies benefit from the Iraq War,too. Bush and his constituents in the R party have these companies as their biggest backers. Do the math. This isn't conspiracy, this is politics at its worst.

  • Hmm so companies making stuff for the govt are not allowed to make a profit and the no bid contracts were for only 2 bids in IRaq. KBR got no bid rights in Bosnia and Kosovo, where was the cry then? Pelosi owns Haliburton stock, Cheney and bush have zero. So how does this math add up?

  • It's a bigger conflict of interest. I would have bitched about the Clinton admin. using KBR if I was more active in politics at the time, but this is now, and it's worse. Cheney is still receiving funds from Halliburton, and other companies. Even if he wasn't, his former status at the company is suspect. It reeks of the millitary/industrial complex that even Eisenhower discussed.

  • The MIC is nothing what it used to be if you remember the 80's and the rantings of paraniod conspiracy types. Please show me how cheney has received any funds from Haliburton since his divesture? there was a much bigger conflict of interest in 88 with politicians and nothing evil happened then just like nothing will happen now.

  • Nothing evil happened? What about the F-22 Raptor, the most expensive fighter aircraft in the world? Who are we going to use that against? Will the terrorists somehow gain proficiency as fighter pilots and strike American military bases? The US spends more on military spending than most of NATO combined. Think about it. It's worse, and it's not even hidden as much any more. People are just ignoring it.

  • How many raptors are gonna be bought? Less than a 100 I heard and they replace hundreds for the same use. Please provide facts on spending versus nato. Nationmaster dot com is a great liberal tool to use. Our defense spending is a sliver of entitlment spending and no where near its zenith of 1987.

  • And those planes cost 200 million each, and they're planning on selling them to countries like Israel. Who will they use them against, anyway? Kids throwing rocks in Palestine? The DoD's budge is over 500 billion, which alone is more than many Nato partners. The whole that the US spends on military spending is relatively unknown, but it's aproximately 700 billion. That's not counting the cash spent on Iraq in general, to companies like Halliburton.

  • 500 billion? a little less than that but OK. That is chump change compared to other govt programs. Look at our defense commitment compared to other nations and the % of our GDP and you will see that most nations spend far more money than we do. nationmaster dot org is a great place to view those stats if you dont believe me.

  • But it's still a lot of money, and they want more. Our military budget is sucking precious funds that could go to much more worthwhile causes, yet it's being used to line the pockets of war profiteers an corporations, and keep an everlasting conflict going the background to distract America from its real problems. Look at how little attention the R. candidates are paying to domestic issues (besides immigration, which they see as part of the WoT) and the economy.

  • precious funds? the Military budget is less than 13% of our total budget. What war profiteers? please elaborate? Even Obama would not agree with you.

  • Do I have to go over this again? You're purposely ignoring the face the facts. That's 13% of our budget used to support cronies and lobbyists, fund a war based on lies, and put our troops in harm's way. Even if the budget was only 1% of the budget, all of these machinations could be considered an immoral,if not illegal conflict of interest. Every time you see our president smirk, he's smirking because he's getting away with some kind of crime for every minute he's in office.

  • So you are saying in essense we should have no army or navy. So when Obama smirks is he gonna be getting away with a crime? doesnt matter who is president you far leftists think there is always a conspiracy when the truth is much simpler.

  • it is the truth, and it is simple. it's about money. I'm not foolish enough to believe that we can completely dismantle our military, (it's not practical, or economically sound) but we need to get our priorities straightened out. Why spend billions in research for weapons we won't use? As a deterrent? As for Obama, he's not the president. And if he's elected, he'll be accountable for what goes on. That's common sense.

  • All I can say is thank god you are not in power. Respect your opinion, perhaps you should take a class at university on economics, diplomacy, federal budgets etc. All available at major universities. And Obama will be accountable and still have the same budget we have now.

  • she made the commericial because she can't face the fact that her son died in vain. any normal mourning mother would want to justify her son's death. i feel sorry for her.

  • Her Son did not die in vain. He served his country and he died a hero. You ELQUERCOTERCO do you think your life will be in vain?

  • I hear them boots a-steppin'

    Goose-steppin' 'round the bend

and I ain't seen Freedom since,

    I don't know when.

A shout out to Johnny Cash and all other real Americans who love this country and hate fascist lies like this tripe.

  • So, we should get more people killed because her son in dead? And what's with the 9/11 crap? Shameless propaganda.

  • GATHERING OF IDIOTS This is not shameless propaganda it is the same propagqanda that Move ON uses. Propaganda does not mean the story they are pushing is a lie. Every TV commercial you see is Propaganda. No where does she say Iraq and 9/11 are connected.

  • Wow, we have a DOUBLE award winner today!!! The recipient of the "most heartless" AND the most "idiotic statement" of the day goes to...MUJAKU!!! And a reminder to all those parents out there: Please remember to pay a lot of attention to your children or they might end up living pathetic lives trying to blame national tragedies on gov't conspiracies in order to try to play a pitiful "hero" figure by "calling out the man" even if it's contrary to these little things called facts, and common sense

  • Mom, your son, Sgt. Jesse W. Strong USMC, died for 526 years worth of Iraqi oil reserves and Zionists. Oh, and Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11. It was in inside job.

  • MUJaku You are an asshole and a stupid one at that. Where did this women say Iraq had anything to dowith 9/11. What are you going to die for, you piece of shit

  • "Where did this women say Iraq had anything to dowith 9/11."

Why did she bring it up?

  • GATHERING OF IDIOTS Al Qeada attacked us on 9/11 and they are in Iraq killing our troops. for all we know her son myay have been killed by Al Qaeda. She does not want Al Qaeda to attack us again. she does not want to leave Iraq and its oil money to Al Qaeda

  • Hmm... "No American heroes only thieves stealing oil from poor people!" Witness how blind liberal hate, although it might start as an apparent debate, will always explode into defamatory statements reflected in their true feelings of hate for our military and country as a whole. Sick as it is, this is the freedom Jesse (in the vid) fought for.

  • "Witness how blind liberal hate, although it might start as an apparent debate, will always explode into defamatory statements reflected in their true feelings of hate for our military and country as a whole."

    Go back to Afghanistan.

  • stealing oil ? I think it's to get the Darryl Worley video Have you forgotten? Osama was the cause of 9/11! but to those 29% brian dead redneck tootles hillbillies who worship BUSH it's all Iraq, Iran, Syria and alll muslim countries fault! I saw FUCK ISRAEL and the middle east we have got NO GODDAMN business over there fight another countries civl war! No American heroes only thieves stealing oil from poor people!

  • JOINTFITTER So your a name caller "Brain Dead Redneck Tooties Hillbillies" That is not a good argument to get your point across. You can do better than that! We are there now and we cannot walk away. If we do we will pay a heavy price in the years to come. Your solution is simplistic and we are not stealing oil

  • Hmm...according the CIA, FBI, Department of Homeland Security, the 9/11 commission report and every intelligence source Iraq had no connection to 9/11...this war was a big waste of time, over $500 billion wasted away, imagine if we had spent $500 billion to go after Osama Bin Laden and the al Quaeda network...there would be no more al-Qaeda or Osama Bin Laden, then we would actually be safe from terrorists..

  • Admiral William Fallon, chief of central command, derided Petraeus as a sycophant. Fallon told Petraeus that he considered him to be "an ass kissing little chickenshit" and added "hate people like that".

  • First of all she doesnt know what she is talking about. We invaded Iraq because we "Thought" they had weapons of mass destruction. That was false. We caught Sadaam, but the real culprit was Bin Laden. Why haven't we captured him??? He was the man responsible for 911, not Sadaam and Iraq. So this lady needs to go to hell right with President Bush for starting a war that should have never happened. Know your facts b4 you speak...

  • tinajah; Great Idea. I suggest you do that.

  • Tinajah04 Wow that is beautiful :) You want a mother who lost her son "to go to hell". God Bless you for you beautiful open heart and empathy. Just one little thing. Exactly where does she give any reason for why we invaded Iraq

  • No one told her to make a TV commercial.

  • No Shit GATHERINGYOURANIDIOT She made the commercial because she wanted to express her opinion and exercise her freedom of speech. does that bother you? Asshole

  • She? You funny.

  • "She made the commercial because she wanted to express her opinion and exercise her freedom of speech."

No, a bunch of rich Republicans put her up to it.

  • tinajah04 makes the point: If my neighbor purposefully kills my family with his car, I go after my neighbor. I don't go after the like-minded neighbor who is assembling a big gun(uh, at least I think they are). Bush falls short in his thinking. Where is that cowboy-style justice? If he is going to shove his lack of morals down our throats at least make it make sense!!!! Lie to me better than that!!!

  • GETANED You act as if Bush is a dictator. Congress voted for it, Congress still funds it. they have the power to stop it on Mon. if they wanted to. They lied to the American people, Vote for aDem we will end the War" Bush approval 29% Congress 11%.

  • 29%! Now that's a ringing endorsement.

  • Better than Congress idiot!

  • "so here's a thought

    fuck the troops.

fuck anyone who wastes time talking about our war.

3,000 people died in 9/11. people act like that was a big deal.

places like africa have over 30,000 people dieing a DAY from starvation alone. thats ten 9/11's every day for africans. cigarettes, drugs, cancer, POLLUTION. the list of death tolls from these things separately all dwarf this little war."

Apparently people dislike my comment a great deal. Anyone care to actually address it?

  • Your use of injured and dead U.S. soldiers to endorse your political view point in deplorable and shameful. Winning in Iraq, please define that....how do we win a civil war between two religious factions and sectarian violence?

  • $15,000,000 for really bad ads. Sad.

They would have just given the money to the V.A. hospitals if they REALLY cared so much about the troops.

  • JJOPLIN Send the same message to MoveOn.Orgs ad about Gen. Petraus

  • Moveon manipulatively uses sympathy for the troops in their ads to try & make their case against the war?

No, Bosphotoman. The ads are not equivalent. You either need a lesson in logic or you're a tool

  • JJOPLIN69 If we don't believe in freedom of expression for people we despise, we don't believe in it at all.

    Noam Chomsky

  • Nobody is stopping you (or Freedom Watch) from putting fingers to keyboard and making a fool of yourself Bosphotoman. Go right ahead, just don't cry so loud when it's pointed out how illogical your statements are.

The pearl clutchers on the Right should practice the tolerance of opinion you advocate when others (Moveon) express an opinion they don't agree with.

  • And if it's the uniform thing that gets to you check out Michael Ledeen attacking Gen. Abizaid on the pages of the NRO because he had the audacity to say that we could live with a nuclear Iran because we survived the Soviet Union and because the General said that war with Iran would be devastating to everybody.

  • Right wingers and their media allies are laughable, they treat all Generals and troops who disagree with them like garbage, in the most despicable terms possible. Look what they did to John Kerry

  • Tell it to Ward Churchill and Norman Finkelstein.

  • Theses Are the most disgusting, exploitational, vomit inducing, degrading ads i have ever seen. These ads defile the fallen soliders who want a free Iraq; there is no possible way that can happen WHEN WE ARE STILL OCCUPYING THEM!!! we should withdraw our troops, acknowledge we fucked up and be done with it. there is no need for thousands upon thousands more Soliders and Iraqis to die becuase "president" bush has his head so far up his ass that he can't face the facts even if he wanted to.

  • HURTFUL is a good name for piece of shit like you. This women lost her son and he was a United States Marine. He was not some asshole like you send rounds down range 25 feet to a paper target. Did your paper targets shoot back. Don't don't on dead Marines you Jodie Mother Fucker. Your head is up Harry Reeds Ass

  • I'm sorry for this lady, but she needs to read the

9-11 Report. I can't believe she hasn't read this report. Stop confusing the 9-11 tragedy with the war in Iraq!!!!! I believe invading Iraq will insure that we have many more terrorist attachs against us (U.S) either abroad or at home.

  • GETANEDUCATION Listen to her words. She never says Iraq had anything to do with 9/11. Thats your twisted spin. Al qaeda is in Iraq. If we give up we will encourage Al Qeada (they have said so). We do not need anoter 9/11. Do you really think they would not have tried to attack us again if we hadn't invaded Iraq. Have you noticed that they have not attacked us since 9/11

  • There is more than one way to communicate. "We've already had one 9-11; we don't need another." It's a good thing we have people who think like you.... Your reasoning is so flawed. Tell me - why did we invade Iraq?

  • Getaneducationb4u Apparently you believe you are very educated, and you presume I am not. You say my reasoning is flawed. Please be specific and explain how my reasoning is flawed.

  • GETaneducationB4U As for your question "why did we invade Iraq" We invaded becasue we were afraid of another attack. We rushed to war, we had bad intelligence, Congress had no back bone. In hind site we probably could of handled the potential threat of Iraq better. However we are there, Al Qaeda is there, we cannot just walk away or we will make even more trouble for ourselves. How educated are you??

  • I only assume you are not educated when it comes to knowing people. Yes, I am very gifted when it comes to social skills. If I say so myself.... Congress did not have a backbone and/or morals. I totally disagree that we went to Iraq to avoid another attack. There is no reasoning for picking Iraq in relation to an attack. Not only can we not stay, we can't walk away either.

  • GETANED I do fine with people, and I am gifted in my ability to communicate, I communicate very well with creative Photography and Video. I have had 1.5 million people view my videos. On YouTube I have 240 subscribers, so I must be doing something right.

  • Presidents are always the policy leaders. Bush is evil. Congress fell prey to the ignorant masses just to look good! Democracy will never work as the masses become more and more uneducated. Not my quote but a that of a great thinker. Great vision on the pics. It almost excites me. However, can you see the soul of your subjects? That's what knowing people is all about. I'm betting you're sweet; however, I'd never want to be in the fight for my life with you.

  • It is not a spin. She communicated it quite effectively, indirectly, though effectively. Are you saying that we have not been attacked because we invaded Iraq? I say we have not been attacked because the terrorists simply are not as good as they think they are. We are better than them at this. Give up or not they are encouraged. They said so!!! Either way they are encouraged.

  • GETANED I do not know why we have not been attacked. I just know we havn't. I also know they want to attack us again and that the war on terror will go on for a long time.

They are definetly encouraged by all the defeatist talk in Congress.

  • If you are such a great communicator, learn to spell!

  • Read what i wrote on your other post you brainless, trigger happy, red neck, right wing, ignorant, retarded piece of shit. Pull your head out of bush's ass and see the fact that YOU RIGHT WING FUCKERS ARE WRONG, OR DO YOU ENJOY THE FACT THAT YOUR BROTHERS ARE DIEING YOU SICK FUCK?!?!?!

  • HURTFUL My brothers are in the Marine Corps to win. If the give up like you want then they will disrespect theri Brothers. You do not have any idea what these Marines and Soldiers stand for. They know they may die yet they still sign up, they still walk in harms way. We say Semper Fi "Always Faithful" If I wanted them to run I would disrespect them

  • It's just throwing good money after bad at this point.

  • Freedom's watch = Shamefull Zionist Pro-War Propaganda.

  • JUKRADIO = Shamefull NeoLib Facisit America Hating coward. Her words are he opinions. She has every right to speak them without you lib spin on her intent.

  • Freedom's Watch is doing a wonderful job of promoting the TRUTH! Keep up the good work.

  • Vicki: To your son Jesse. Semper Fi brother You are what makes the country great. You are the glue that holds it all together. You made a diffrence. Those who criticize will never know what an honor it is to have the title of United States Marine. Your actions and sacrifice have carried on the great tradition of the Corps. Rest In Peace My Brother

  • I am a father of a Marine that died for this great nation in Iraq. You critics make me sick. What do you know about loosing someone? You worthless waste of air, how dare you speak against a Gold Star mother who speaks out about the war and the loss of her son. My heart goes out to this woman for the bravery to speak in public in support for the war. You damn COWARDS!!!!

  • Do all your videos feature dead soldiers? Is this what you've been reduced to to push your faltering agenda? Time for some new materials - this crap has failed the test...

  • MOMMYFUCKER Their videos can feature anyone they want. It is none of your fucking business who they use or what they say. Tough shit if you don't like. Go fuck Mommy

  • MOMMYFUCKER Why don't you make a video before you critque mine. Your videos are full of nothing. You MOMMYFUCKER are an empty suit. Create something. anything is better than nothing.

  • This is some shameful shit. If there's another 9/11, it'll likely be planned by the senior Al Qaeda leaders in NW Pakistan who we're doing fuck all about BECAUSE were stretched so thin in Iraq.

  • HHTF So on your America it is "shameful shit" for the mother of a dead Marine to express her opinions in an Ad. If you think we are stretched so thin maybe you should join up.

  • I love the calculated use of the word "surrender." Poor Vicky. Very sorry you lost your son. Hope she finds closure; clearly we aren't going to, any time soon as this idiotic war continues in part due to simplistic ads like this.

  • LECTRONIMO Surrender is a perfectly appropriate word to use in the context that Vicki Strong used it. Your condolences ring hollow. Your elitist smug attitude drips from your every word.

  • This is propaganda at it's finest...

Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, it was continually said by Bush and Cheney. Who are the terrorists in Iraq honestly? We're being told it's Al-Qaeda, but it's the insurgents of the country. And how are we sending the wrong message when 2/3 of the country want the troops to come home? Perhaps this mother is republican and paid by the government to try to convince us some how, through a sincere ad, that wanting out of Iraq is "unAmerican"

  • PrPGMNI Thsi is a grieving mother exercising her first amendment rights. You are shameful to spit on this mother by saying she is being paid by Republicans. Why are you afraid of this women exercising her opinions? Did this women say that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11? No she did not!

  • Today, monday Sep 10 the BBC and ABC released the results of a poll conducted of the Iraqi people. It plainly shows that even between 2005 and 2007 the situation has gotten worse, not better for them. So, with that in mind how can anyone say "stay the course"? Google:Iraqi poll march 2007

  • this group is fucking disgusting!! Another example of how they try to prey off your emotions to support illogical actions in the middle east.Actually they are quite logical...from Isreal's point of view

  • CFARB Are you an anti semite

  • if by antisemite you mean i oppose zionist controlled tv,radio, newspapers, magazines, porn and pointless foreign wars which enslaves america to their will through debt, needlessly spills the blood of my countrymen which they get rich off of,taking away my country's freedoms, shitting on our great european heritage that has been the light of civilization for this planet then yes.

  • EVERYONE of you who call these ADs lies and Bull Shit etc are Anti Free Speech To fucking bad if you don't like the Ads. Then you all analyze why these people did this. It couldn't be that they believe their opinions. What a bunch of SMUG A Holes. Its there right and that is what makes this country great. Everyone gets to put their opinion out here. Hypocrites!!!

  • I`m sick of these ads, innocent blood is being spilt over a president who has no sense of direction. Republicans make so much sense anti-abortion,so that way we`ll have more children to send to war? Make lies,to make more lies...aka scandals. Sad.

  • SEANKOLKER Poor little Seaney is sick of the Ads Boo Hoo:( Tough Shit. These people have sacrificed alot for this war and have every right to express their opinion. These are not lies they are speaking, they are their opinions. What have you sacrificed, other than being a "wittle sick" ."IF WE DON'T BELIEVE IN FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION FOR PEOPLE WE DESPISE, WE DON'T BELIEVE IN AT ALL" Noam Chomsky.

  • SEanKOlker Your an idiot. do you think the Dems will change anything. We will still be in Iraq and whereve else we have to be to kill our stalking enemy. Wake up kid they will kill you and the rest of us if we give them the chance.

  • SEAN you are sick of the Ads. These Ads are the least of our problems. These fanatic Jihadists are trying everyday to think of ways to kill you. When Bush is no longer President do you think they will go away? If we had never went into Iraq they would still be trying to kill us. We invaded Afghanistan and we will be there for along time. Lock and Load son

  • I have no problem with locking and loading....I think the direction needs to change, why the hell has`nt Osama been captured or killed yet? Even when that happens I know we won`t be safe,I think people are more sick of living paranoid then anything.

  • One way to lessen our chances of terrorism against us would be to actually have a real foreign policy, and punish US companies who misuse the people and resources of other nations. Of course not being on the Arabian penninsula would help too.

  • What progress ?

  • JaVAn1 Many people are moaning and groaning about these Ads. What do you expect any group to do that wants to get their point across? I appauld the people that used this venue to get their opinion out. They are reaching a large audience. You may not like their opinion but it is their right to speak. They speak you decide what you think of their opinion

  • Does Bospho have anything to do with Bosphorus as in Istanbul, Turkey ?

  • No Boston Photographer

  • it's supposed to be a blue state. newsfotoman ?

  • I'd feel the same way about the Democrats, but after they passed the FISA amendments (it could only pass with their near total support) it's clear that- despite cosmetic arguments- they are allied with the neoconservatives.

  • I am so sorry for this person's sacrifice. But being exploited to support a false assumption that 9/11 & Iraq are linked is disgusting. Freedom Watch is a Bush adminstration ruse to continue support for their travesty in Iraq. Where is Osama bin Laden???

  • CAROL ."IF WE DON'T BELIEVE IN FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION FOR PEOPLE WE DESPISE, WE DON'T BELIEVE IN AT ALL" Noam Chomsky. You are trying to say that this women is sayin 9/11 and Iraq are linked. She never says that. Her only reference to 9/11 is that she says we dont' need another.

She is expressing only her opinion

  • He was sacrificed for the lies of traitors. The results are already in: a war that was launched AFTER its premises were known to be false, resulting in the deaths of tens of thousands of good people, both Iraqi civilians and our citizens. This is the most atrocious propaganda I have yet seen (thanks for uploading it).

  • TURTLE He was a Marine and Chesty Puller would be angry at you for calling this atrocious propaganda. This is a mother who lost her son. She is expressing her opinion, do you want to muzzle her freedom of speech. Don't worry the jihadist will be coming for you and everyone else in this country. Semper Fi Chesty. This guy is a turtle sounds like a punk coward

  • Why isn't "the jihadist" coming for me now? The borders are so insecure that he could walk across. I have nothing but my wits and a deadbolt to protect me from his wily decapitating ways!

It's atrocious propaganda for exploiting the pain and suffering of soldiers to cover up for the war that needlessly caused that pain and suffering. If it's jihadists we're after, why are we in Iraq?

  • Turtle Under our Constitution everyone has a right to free speech. This mother wanted to express her opinions about the war and her sons sacrifice. Do you want to handcuff her and take her to a Gulag because you disagree with her opinion??

  • You haven't replied to a single point I have raised, instead pulling this absurd premise from vapor. I have nowhere said that she should not be allowed an opinion. Please, please wake up.

  • Mr turtle You said this was the most atrocious propaganda. I think what people are trying to say is that the mother of a dead soldier expressing opinion, in this venue or any other venue is not propaganda, it is her opinion. You said her son was sacrificed for the lies of traitors. You did not name the traitors. How does one respond to that generality

  • Look up "Colin Powell United Nations." Read the presentation of "evidence" that Iraq had thousands of tons of chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons. This kind of lying is the worst kind of treachery. Inspecting for weapons was fine, but when weapons were NOT found in 2003, the invasion should not have been ordered. You knew all of this already, so there was no need for me to repeat it, please accept the truth.

  • Yes Turtle we did not find WMD's. Everyone in the world thought they had them. So in hind site we definetly should not have invaded. That was then this is now. What do we do just pack up and walk away. What do you think will happen then. Truth we made a mistake. Truth it isn't going away if we leave. accept that truth

  • Incorrect. The United States, Germany, France, Australia, Great Britain, Israel, Russia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the other UN member nations, et all, believed that Iraq did not possess WMD. They saw Colin Powell's "undeniable proof" presentation and refuted it. We inspected the country and found no weapons, after which Bush ordered the invasion. You already know this. We don't "pack up," we do what the Iraqis have asked us to do for years: leave.

  • TURTLE What do you think these insane Jihadist are going to do after we leave

  • Be massacred by the Iraqi militias who have been going toe-to-toe with our military for years, that's what. The terrorist element in Iraq is vastly outnumbered, out gunned, and out-supported by the Iraqi Resistance.

  • Mr Turtle you said. If it's jihadists we're after, why are we in Iraq? There are many Jihadist in Iraq. Are you disputing the fact that Jihadist are there killing tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi's

  • Before we invaded, there were no active jihadists in Iraq. Even now, foreign fighters and Al Queda make up less than 10% of the resistance to our occupation. The vast majority of the people we have killed in Iraq are either civilians or Iraqi patriots fighting a violent occupation- little different from the Minute Men ("terrorists," the British called them).

  • Mr. Turtle you said. It's atrocious propaganda for exploiting the pain and suffering of soldiers to cover up for the war that needlessly caused that pain and suffering. SO YOU ARE SAYING THAT WOUNDED SOLDIERS FROM THE WAR CANNOT EXPRESS THEIR OPINIONS, BECAUSE THEIR OPINIOS ARE AS YOU SAID 'ATROCIOUS PROPAGANDA'

  • Even if you say so in all-caps, I am still not saying that the opinions of individual citizens are atrocious propaganda. Your energy is better spent extricating the remaining soldiers from Iraq, they are good people fighting a war that should never have happened, under leadership that causes many many unnecessary casualties.

  • Turtle The only words in the video are the mothers, so who is commiting atrocious propaganda

  • The people who are using her pain for a nationally broadcast effort to continue the immoral war that her son died participating in. I mean, this is very difficult to understand (clearly, my disagreeing with the deployment and subsequent maiming of our soldiers during this debacle means that I hate them).

  • Turtle Freedom watch is a conduit for this women to get her opinion out to perhaps millions of Americans. This is clearly her right. Her decision to do it and FW's decision to run the ads is also their decison and because you say they are using her pain has no bearing. That sir is just your opinion,

  • Yet, her grief has lead her to state opinions that are clearly unfounded, this is being exploited by the group that is releasing these advertisements- just as the GAO report is released stating that Iraq has met less than 1/3rd of its progress benchmarks. What progress (as if progress matters, when our presence is illegitimate and unwanted by the Iraqis)!

  • TURTLE Here you go again. Her opinions are hers and you cannot decide for her what she feels and wants to express. How do you know she is not exploiting the group?

It is her choice and you really cannot know her reason for expressing her opinion. Let her exercise her right unfettered by people trying to put their spin on her reason to align herself with this group or any other group.

  • I have done little to nothing to abridge her freedom of expression, those people who put a microphone in front of her while she is still grieving may be doing that, though. An opinion taken under duress often isn't the intended opinion. Does she really think that he died for "our freedom," or is it simply comforting to her? Iraq posed and poses zero threat to our freedom, which you know.

  • TURTLe I was a Marine and I fought in Vietnam. I went there thinking I was fighting for freedom. I left there knowing I was fighting for my life and my brothers lives. When I returned home I was bitter. Sent to a war that the government decided they did not want to win, but left us there. I came home to a population that treated me and my brothers as worthless baby killers.

  • I am now bitter at the government that got us into the war and again they decide they don't want to win. The government and the population do not give two shits about the troops. All I want to do is see that these people get to speak without being treated like warmongering morons. I do understand your feelings I just want these people to speak and be shown a drop of respect for expressing their opinions

  • Just like in Vietnam, there is nothing to win. No prize, no captured Fuhrer Bunker. This was an illegitimate war from start to finish. Would you rather still be in Vietnam, still fighting a useless war? Of course it hurts to pull out, but it hurts far less than grinding our nation to dust for such madness. You know the American citizens love the soldiers, of course they do. Cheers to you and your service, it is the government that lies to you that I disdain.

  • Well the difference between Vietnam and Iraq is that the enemy in Vietnam was happy to see us go. In this war the enemy will stop at nothing and continue to try and kill us. Well I thought they loved the troops until I read some of the comments left on these Youtube commercials. Trust me I want peace but i am not sure how we are going to get it. This country has a stalker and it is radical Jihadists

  • Who is this enemy? In Vietnam, the enemy was mostly the VIETNAMESE, they just happened to belong to a government from a different latitude. In Iraq, 90% of the resistance to our occupation is THE RESISTANCE: Iraqis. If "the enemy" will stop at nothing, why aren't they here? They can walk across the border and cut my throat right now. Where are the comments disparaging troops? It's all aimed at the policy that hurts our country and the troops especially.

  • Well most of the comments are outrage about these wounded troops and their loved ones making these commercials. You comments have been repectful but some have been very disrespectful One person called the mom a Whore. They are planning to kill us and they will. what I worry about is them using a dirty bomb. I worry about our response, what will we do go atomic on some country??

  • Who knows, maybe we'll invade a country that had nothing to do with the attack (notice how quickly we forget the awful things that have ALREADY happened). A dirty bomb would- horrors- increase the risk of cancer to people present in a two mile radius, give or take (not to discount the people who would be killed by the actual explosion, which is deadlier). I might die in a car crash, a dirty bomb is nothing to lose sleep over (yet another media facade).

  • What worries me more would be our response to a dirty bomb. It could be WWIII

  • What worries me most is what happened to Jose Padilla; an American born citizen detained in isolation without charge or legal council for over five years on the supposed grounds that he was trying to build a dirty bomb, yet when he was finally tried there was NO mention of anything about a dirty bomb nor any other specific illegal act.

He sure did love Big Brother when they finally released him, though.

  • There's no excuse for calling that woman a whore, but I presume that the rage is the result of seeing yet another propaganda push from these awful politicians. It's misdirected anger, I think (though still disrespectful).

  • Your perspective that the Vietnamese were happy to see us go is inaccurate at best. Remember the old rhetoric that losing Viet Nam would mean the spread of communism throughout the region. That's certainly not been the case and most of SE Asia has rapidly moved toward free-market economy, democratic rule. Strange how our political propoganda never turns out to be correct in the long run. Fear mongering keeps wars going and builds more rabid reactionaries.

  • caroljl1 I can asure you that the North Vietnamese were glad to see us go. That allowed them to take all of Vietnam in 1975. Just because I fear the future attacks of Al Qaeda does not make me a fear monger, it makes me Hyper Vigilant. You can sit there and hold hands and sing Kumbayah and the will still want you dead. It will come down to fight or die with the Jihadist.

  • Fearing for the country's safety can be a good thing- when it leads to be paranoid about phantom boogeymen, it is not. I've said a dozen times times: our borders are insecure meaning that anyone has free access to the country. Where, then, are the p"Al Qaeda"?

  • TURTLE The border security is a disgrace, and Congress and the President have shwon criminal neglect. that is why the Democrta Congress has an approval rating of 18% and the President somewhere around 30%. they do nothing and as JAVAN1 said they have no backbone.

  • Also, this "conduit for opinion" is run by former Bush cabinet members. Please, continue to refute that this is exploitative propaganda.

  • Turtle You can call it propagand all day long. that does not change the fact that a women who lost her son wants to express her feelings and her support. If you feel it is propaganda that is your right. The constitution does not care if the group is run by a former Bush cabinet member. He still has rights under the constitution

  • THIS IS FUCKING BULLSHIT

  • I hope that God is merciful, and poor Jesse isn't aware that his mother is being used as propaganda. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and this poor mother lost a son and still doesn't understnad that. Dishonorable and disgraceful.
