I'd suggest to Californians that they discard this 1920's vaudeville tune for the more dignified "Hail to California" melody currently used by the UC Berkeley as an alma mater.
Yeah, but "I love You, California" was selected as the state song at the time. If we ever felt like changing it in a manner like we changed governors in that 2003 recall election (LoL), How about "California Love" by Tupac Shakur, "Dani California" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and the more popular "California, here I come" become our state song? Let's have a vote (what a good idea).+
