@funnymunkey11 What's even more funny is that try seeing it from the penis's stand-point!LOL! Seriously, Andy is singing as if he was his penis singing to himself..AND Roger at the end singing from the males point of view!!LOL Awesome wordplay. Just GENIUS!

This song is about a bunch of fags bangin each other in the ass. I'm talking about hardcore, AIDS infected, faggotry. I'm talking gay orgy with dozens of huge, muscular queers with huge cocks slamming each others asses. They don't use any lube, which results in complete anal destruction. All the blood, jizz, and shit, from this homo fuckfest, saturates the carpet until it's such a slippery mess that these fags can't even walk on it without falling.
I saw these guys in Atlanta in the 90's & what a truly great band, bassist tim smith had played with The Producers, before Jellyfish & I was so happy to hear when he came on board with these guys...You just don't hear this caliber of musicianship as much....Just wish they'd put out more music.
I saw Jellyfish live in Atlanta in the early 90's. It is hands down the best concert I have ever seen despite it being 100 degrees in the hall. They were impossibly good and it was hard to believe that they were not singing to tracks. They were so spot on. They broke up way too soon. I wish they had blessed the world with more music.
you're not alone. I generally panned the song for quite a while (just didn't care for the music), but finally listened to the chorus one day... "my hand's a five-leaf clover..." and I laughed and laughed, and I don't skip the song now when listening to the album... still wish someone could locate a clip of "Forgiven" to upload, though. probably my favorite on that album ... "yes he tries to hide the cross he bears, but splinters, like the truth, have always risen..." awesome wordplay!
Got into this band because of this song. It was in the movie "Threesome" and I thought it was brilliant! I was sitting there thinking about how this great band wrote a song about a man and his penis! It floored me! Also gave me some insight to guys hahahaha!
Ben Folds Five and The Wondermints were bands that I listened to after Jellyfish called it quits. They were the only bands that were not only influenced but sounded like Jellyfish at the time.
Why doesen't the reply button work? I just want everyone to know that I am not replying to myself. I know I talk to myself sometimes but this is ridiculous.
I love this song. Jellyfish will live on in my memory forever. I will never forget the first time I heard them. I was wroking in a record store in 93 when Spilt Milk came out and we used to play it a lot in the store. I saw them at Toads Place in New Haven CT in 93 and will never forget it. You know, I do not know if it is the way his hair looks or not but in certain videos including this one Andy looks a lot like Kurt Cobain.
My first time to hear them . . I THINK . . was in 1990. Right after a Faith No More video. Man those were good times for music. Faith No More , Jellyfish, Living Colour . . all different types of rock and pop but all rocked so much. The EARLY 90s, and the 80s delivered awesome artists. Now .. not so much. But Roger Joseph Manning Jr's new album rocks. It's very reminicent of Jellyfish. Look up: Cat Nip Down In Front Roger Joseph Manning Jr. All those key words should get you the song.
15 years I've been listening to this song thinking 'Well, these guys must be gay becuase they're singing about some dude they love'........
A song about masturbation no less?!?! God damn me being 14 when I first heard this! I daren't play it to my mates incase they thought I was y'know, 'soft'!
Brilliant! I feel like a right benny now!
Love this band!!!!!
Best album of the 90's. Full Stop. Game Over. Period. The End. Fact. Factoid. Set In Stone.
I feel the same way. My husband our friend and I loved this band. Thought the song was too intimate for a friend. We all figured it out about 10 years later and we were to embarassed to admit it to each other for 2 more years. It is so obvious after you know what is about.
Yeah, it's awesome. And Phil Collins plays standing and sitting. Anyway, I saw JELLYFISH in 93 at Earth Day Edge Fest. He stood while doing this song.. might have been 94. Somebody kept taunting him, so he walked up to the front of the stage and actually said, "What did you say faggot!?" and punched at the guy. The crowd cheered, and he continued to play.
It's great that McFly gives props to Jellyfish and have brought the group to the attention of a younger group of fans. In that way, I agree that McFly has helped the band, but Jellyfish has always been well-respected with musicians. The members of McFly were mostly still in diapers when Jellyfish first started recording. -- Matt
Simply stunning seeing these guys play live. These videos bring back a flood of great memories - both about seeing Jellyfish and discovering my best friend...
Couldn't agree more. This is just brilliant after 10 years of never seeing any stuff of theirs it's just fantastic. Time to go and give Spilt Milk a blast.
The words in this song are about his penis lol. Very clever. Read 'em! ;-D

I love this band so much. It makes me so sad that they couldn't have lasted longer and that they're so unjustly forgotten.

@P3NIX That sounds nasty. How many of these have you been to? You are very graphic. Only an ole pro would know about the carpet saturation.

That was recorded for a Nintendo-themed CD. Just because a band isn't afraid to have a bit of silly fun isn't a sign they turned into Gumbas.
