Привет! The lyrics in Cyrillic are a great resource when trying to learn Russian here in the California desert. Спаснбочки for having posted these. My favorite Russian song is the mesmerizingly beautiful, haunting Разлилась, by Пелагея. Do you know where I could find the lyrics?.I get that she is calling the river spirit "elder sister", but with only one month of study, not too much else. Also really appreciate your having posted the text for Tatiana's podcast. Большое спасибо!
@Only4Russian Yes, I agree thanking you a lot for this video the nice song and the explanation; I started to learn your chalenging language and I think I'm progressing a lot with your video. I.d like to know who are the singers and if they have an album to download it. I would appreciate a lot if you can post some more like this. Also the pictures are so nice and I enjoy them every time singing along. Muchas gracias from Arizona.
@1yuvan I guess it'a Alexander Malinin singing (very nice voice), and a woman singer is Nadezhda Kadysheva. She sings Russian songs mainly written by her husband in the ensamble GOLDEN RING (Zolotoye Koltso).
@Oleee93 Hey! muchas gracias por esta explicación de la canción. Thank you for the explanation I'm learning this song I'd like to have every word translated. Thank yiu any way
I wouldn't say that 'she sent him to hall'. When I first heard this song, sung by only male voice, I was so touched by her strong wish to leave with him or maybe just to leave a place where she lived, and that she offered to him to be even stranger, even 'nothing' to him, but not to stay where she was.
I don't think also that the interpretation and these voices, especially the male one, were the best for transmission of the meaning of these lyrics.
Here's all the lyrics transliterated to the Latin Alphabet interleaved with the Cyrillic Alphabet for all you non-russian readers so you can sing along.
Budu tyebye zhyenoy

Thanks for the song.
I heard it for the first time here and directly asked my teacher to learn it to play on my accordeon at the conservatory in Ostend Belgium.

Песма тако проста а тако мудра и душевна.
Фотографије и музика доказ колико би свет и човечанство били обични без Славена.

Never mind the folk songs, the photos are perhaps a part of World Photographic History.
These three-filter black and white photos were taken around 1910.
90 years later, they are restored and shown to the wider public of perhaps the first time.

Really good for practising Russian thank you! Nice song, too. Are there others as helpful as this?

@birzky You might try "Сколько долгих дней". It's slow and gives you a chance to read the words without rushing.
Thanks for your kind words!

As I understood this song there's a man and a woman. The woman wants go go with the man.
In the first part she wants to be his "darling" and he answers that he has already a wife.
In the 2nd part the woman wants to go with him as his "sister" but he answers that he has already a sister there.
In the 3rd part she proposes to be a stranger for him where he comes from, but he sais that he doesn't need any stranger.
Finally she gives up and sends him to hell.

@Oleee93 Hehe! Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned :)

@Oleee93 -- The bit at the end, about her sending him to hell, isn't in the song, although she has no choice but to give up.
