Excellent! I remember as a kid many public toilets were the Shires Lynx/ Twyfords Classic combination (odd that you rarely saw Shires pans with Lynx's!). But getting rerer and rarer as they are replaced, usually by the dull, concealed AS contours. The Lynx cisterns now have to be "Monitored" as they are made of Acrylic Resin strengthened with Amosite (Brown) Asbestos (which I never knew till recently). So increasingly cheaper just to replace.
hey there james, sorry i havent been on for a while, the computer needed a new harddrive and its still faulty: ( hopefully i should be properly up and running soon.Ive got 3 new vids to upload but they wont be on for a while.i must say what a good find !!! also to let you know the actual chain on that is original aswell. Its a shame i cant hear it cause my volume isnt working either at the moment :(. that cistern lever looks proper clean aswell. nice job
Yes, the bowl is a very old one, Twyfords in capital letters are the oldest batches, then there is a handwritten one, the current one is Twyford without an "s" and in normal typing. My favourite has to be the capital/block lettered one. The cistern is a gem though, Shires Lynx are getting rarer now, especially with all the original parts. :(
I found out these have gold rings on them so this doesn't have all it parts on. Really nice flush on this one

'Glad you liked it.
I'm just converting a few others with WMM, may take a while but it's worth it. :)
That's a shame, have you tried e-mailing them again or anything?
