I grew up listening to this thanks to my dad and a great friend of his,I absolutely f'n love old Arch Enemy! brilliant guitar work,michael amott and chris amott both guitarists were my first inspiration to be a guitarist as well!
Johan is much more expressive. I can feel the emotion of every phrase he's saying because he really means it. Angela just wants to look badass to put on a show
I disagree, my main problem with Johan is that I can't feel any emotion whatsoever in his songs. Angela isn't really such a good vocalist but she's better than Liiva... Although the old guitarwork was much better, I can't really decide whether I like Old or new AE more. Some of the new stuff is pretty awesome aswell.
I like the old songs, seriously I do. But not Johans voice, growler would do better job. On album it grows on you, but live he can´t sing same way. Neither Angela does.
