OMG, CoD is much more hardcore if you look at it from a competitive perspective. BF3 doesnt take much communication at all, the maps are massive. Callouts in CoD are very crucial to winning a game. Yes CoD has a lot of casual people that only play like TDM or FFA, but the objective competitive players. BF3 has many tools for casual players though like the vehicles and makes it much easier for noobs to do good.

bf3 has good lighting and shading, but it is very hard on the eye, its very blurry compared to mw3

the 60 fps makes quite a difference, in smoothness and controlls, where bf3 gains in lighting and shading, it looses in controls, tightness and smoothness

actually youre wrong. bad company 1 runs on frostbite 1 but battlefield 3 runs on the newer frostbite 2 engine and battlefield 3 is the first game to run on this engine (obviously, it was designed for this game) but the modern warfare 3 engine is actually runs on a modded version of the Id tech engine 3 ? but this is basicly the engine for ID games (rage,doom,quake) so call of duty is actually running on old engines but obviously tweaked.

@james0ne That's the thing. Call of Duty brags about how much their game is smooth because it is 60 FPS. That is just a number to give them an excuse not to update the engine...the same engine that has been in use for years and was based off of a Quake 1999 engine. Your eye can only see a maximum of 30 FPS. The reason why CoD's controls seems smoother is because somehow your soldier can turn his body faster than light, while in BF your soldier moves like a real human, sluggish, but realistic.

@Svectority And the reason for that is because now that gaming is becoming more and more popular as an entertainment unit, more and more begginers are coming into FPS games, so they pick COD because it is easier like how they explained it, but once they have enough time in the gaming scene, they will start to notice the flaws of COD compared to Battlefield 3, and so after that BF3 community gets bigger because of that fact, but COD's community will always be bigger due to the games easiness.

If you're playing BF3 on consoles like me you won't be disappointed but the maps are so big and on consoles only holds 24 players the BF3 PC 64 players so you could surprise a lot because it's such few people on the maps on the consoles where's the PC counterpart the maps are full of action and lots of things blowing up all the time. PC has a lot stronger because of the 64 players. NOTHING TO DO WITH GRAPHICS just lots of things going on and it's pure fun.

I have both MW3 & BF3, I always like COD games, but really the same game since COD4. Nothing really New, just more tweaks and some new modes AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GRAPHIC JUST GAMEPLAY. I play BF3 for 3 days and the games makes you feel like a bad ass even when your dieing or not do much. It takes longer than MW3 to get into. Once you get the feel of the game it feels great and very rewarding. COD is a one man team, BF3 is more team base, so if you team or you sucks that's bad news for all.

the argument about hand eye coordination of COD players is retarded.the game is AUTO-AIM Assisted! BF3 is manual..meaning YOU have to put the cross hair on the enemy and maintain that while firing a weapon that process simulates a real automatic weapon with real kick in both the horizontal and vertical.MW has very little kick and lets u reduce it further with perks.as a recent BF adopter i can say i love it because COD has deviated too much since COD4.
