I used to be really nerdy in middle school with Halo 3 I loved that game but I talked to it to much didn't get out enough stayed in front of my computer constantly same happened with Call of duty 4, I wasn't interacting with anyone hardly. Now I skate all the time (until I broke my ankle 2 weeks ago) my friends I skate with talk about Black Ops but I'm still careful to not get sucked in and constantly play I have played more due to my ankle, but I usually only play at night that was a good quest

What I do is tell people and talk with people about it who actually care about video games, who appreciate me for who I am and what I enjoy. Today a really princessy girl in my school told me she watched one of my videos, which made me both embarrassed and confused. I don't know how she found out or any of that, but I told her and her friend, that honestly, I am a nerd. I really enjoy video games, and I really enjoy making commentaries. She probably thought I was a loser, but this is who I am.
Everyone or... almost everyone in my class (the males anyway...), and most other people in my school games. So the only thing you might get judged on is what games you play. Most people in my school are into MMOS like HoN or WoW. Only a handfull play CoD.

There's still a social stigma about video games? When I was in high school EVERYONE talked about video games (especially COD and Halo) and it was just a common thing. There is next to no negativity towards people who play video games anymore. As far as commentating, if you're really proud of it then go ahead and tell people. If you're not (which seems to be the case judging from this video) then don't. Chances are no one would connect you to this channel if you hadn't told them yourself.

Ive just finished High School, but games have always been such a big part of my life from Playstation to Xbox, Pokemon on Gameboy. No one else in my family just me, you learn who your real friends are and in the end the school doesnt matter. Games are my life its what i love, so i very open about it and i still have heaps of best friends, a girlfriend of two years who plays Zombies with me and shes never played games. People will accept you for you NOT your hobbies.

I totally agree I mean my friends know I have a youtube account and they know I have almost 200 subs but they dnt really care tht much. My friends hav accounts but they only hav 20 or 30 subs and then they look at me and i hav 200 subs nd they're like,, how did u get all these subs nd ur jst tryin to make ur self look good and all tht. What I do is tell people and talk with people about it who actually care about video games, who appreciate me for who I am and what I enjoy. Today a really princessy girl in my school told me she watched one of my videos, which made me both embarrassed and confused. I don't know how she found out or any of that, but I told her and her friend, that honestly, I am a nerd. I really enjoy video games, and I really enjoy making commentaries. She probably thought I was a loser, but this is who I am.

Everyone or... almost everyone in my class (the males anyway...), and most other people in my school games. So the only thing you might get judged on is what games you play. Most people in my school are into MMOS like HoN or WoW. Only a handfull play CoD.

Hey man I think its fine if you post videos on youtube if your in High School. For reasons that its only 4 years that you will be with these people in your life, some you might know for 6 because you might come home from college and see them in your hometown. But they will be the bums who are going nowhere if they are not in college or doing something beneficial to society. Well im a gamer myself and at school i always over hear people talking about fps games like black ops, mw2 and shit and i dont think they are a nerd because they like a game. This upcoming generation is all about technology, computers,phones,ipods etc. Altho my parents always say like when i was young all i did was play sport bla bla. Yeah ok i played sport a few years ago until i got tired of it Now i game sometimes, hang with friends the others and i dont think thats nerdy. My personal Opinion

I go to school in Bangkok, Thailand, and it is fine to talk about games in school. I mean, most people play at least 1 game, which kind of makes gamers the majority, so gaming should be cool, not lame/nerdy.

There's still a social stigma about video games? When I was in high school EVERYONE talked about video games (especially COD and Halo) and it was just a common thing. There is next to no negativity towards people who play video games anymore. As far as commentating, if you're really proud of it then go ahead and tell people. If you're not (which seems to be the case judging from this video) then don't. Chances are no one would connect you to this channel if you hadn't told them yourself.

Great game there ! my opinion is when you start posting gameplays and commentary means you're looking for more views and more subscribers ! you can spread the thing with everyone ! but the way you introduce it you must be not exaggerating you can just tell them "guys i have a channel on youtube where i play CoD would you please check it out maybe you like it" that's all you gotta do ! and those people who just say bad about your videos simply reply "im not the best but i love my scores"

Im in college and I play quite a bit and most of my "friends" give me shit bout it but, i do go to class i do get out to fish, hunt, and hang out with friends. i don't talk bout gaming much to people just my true friends who don't talk bad about me. I guess you will find out who your true friends are by the way they react to it

I didn't care what other people thought about it cause I was enjoying myself. In fact not only did I never get made fun of for it but my friends started bringing their gameboys too.

People are judgemental, yes. But you can be amazed by how many people are actually cool. I learned a lot of my class mates play games, and they are jealous/envious of how I play ( no life.. ) Iv never really run into someone who makes fun of/hurts gamers. Im a pure addict. like, no life. At all. I still go to classes/school though. Everyone knows it, people can see it. Ive just finished High School, but games have always been such a big part of my life from Playstation to Xbox, Pokemon on Gameboy. No one else in my family just me, you learn who your real friends are and in the end the school doesnt matter. Games are my life its what i love, so i very open about it and i still have heaps of best friends, a girlfriend of two years who plays Zombies with me and shes never played games. People will accept you for you NOT your hobbies.
