Mentally Deranged attacker my ass !!! It was political .Probably got a medal in Germany .He was released with no one day in prison .It just suck !!! Monika is the best tennis player ever .I hope she found her happiness in this sick world .
I'm not sure if it is an accent or just a very distinctive voice. I would very easily identify her voice on the radio. Other Serb/Hungarian people dont sound similar. I like it though, she was always differnt and thats a good thing.
What an inspiration to all people not just tennis fans/players...Humble/Honest and a true champion no one but her could of risen from the ashes and continued her tennis career with such class and dignity
I'm glad Monica asked for help to beat out her depression and food binging. I hope I can meet her one day. She seems to be a humble person. I wish her the best on her life out of the tennis courts.
Defineteley psychiatric and psychological help was needed, and i sense she took longer to realize that than we would have all wanted... good for her to have gotten a grip sooner or later.
Stupid German law! He was only on probation because the guy was German and Germany defended him if he was a jew or other foreign national then it would be far far different.
still remeber the day she was stabed i was nearly 12th but i loved this soprt since my early ages and i still do , waiting for roland garos next sunday, jocovic seems to be the big favorites but i'm nadal suporter hope him a good luck in this big slam otherwise he wont be the N°01 , hope we can see good tennis in this competition
imagine if Monica had played ever since her comeback looking as fit as she is in this video... i think she would have won many more slams... some of the post-stabbing footage that we can watch, she looks so out of shape and fat, yet still pushed the best of them to 3 sets... imagine a fit Monica and what she could have done... The stabbing really changed her life and career more than we could ever imagine...
@ WeTrustChrist wish u were born black in 60s USA, wish u had 2 fight 2 vote, ur kids banned from t best school, told 2 sit in the back of buses & give ur seat 2 a whites, called boy/girl @ 40+, wish like Ali u won a gold olympic medal for ur country than come home to get kicked out of a cafe cause ur black, wish u harassed by the police daily, than I want 2 c u say yes when they tell u they won't give u ur right but u should die "liberating" others!
I love you,Monica Seles and I hate the cowardly piece of shit/scumbag that stabbed you(TE AMO,MONICA SELES Y ODIO AL COBARDE DE MIERDA/CABRON QUE TE APUNALO)!
I first knew Monica in 1996 and she was so so good. I am not happy with that german man that stabbed her back. Some people can be so sick and jealous in the head. I am happy with Monica and she looks so beautiful. She's gone through hard times and still looks so beautiful. I love her personality.
I love the fact that she's not bitter; so many people would be consumed by that what-ifs or wollow in self-pity but she's incredible because she moved on she was unfairly taken out of her sport in the prime of her career a bit like how Muhammad Ali was stripped of his title and banned from boxing in the prime of his years because he refused to fight in vietnam...now both are legends that are adored the world over
@su79er Speak for yourself about Ali. I don't adore the cowardly piece of shit, and neither should you. Getting stabbed and being a coward are 2 different things. By the way, Joe Frazier (a REAL hero) beat the piece of shit Ali TWICE but was robbed by the judges in one of the fights, and everyone knows it. And Joe still has his marbles intact, unlike the dope Ali.
I still feel really angry that the guy who stabbed her got away with it unpunished...where as Monica suffered for years psychologically! It's so wrong how she was treated it is almost like they said she was to blame when clearly she was the victim! Ruined her career when she was at the peak of her success!
Monica, you're the most great tennis champion ever! you were my most beautiful example fao all my teenage life and i will always love you .thanks for the the emotions i lived with you and all the joy you gave me.you ll always be the best. love you mika
No matter what happened, she has been and will always be the most beautiful women in my heart. Thanks Monica for showing me your amazing talents in tennis and incredible courage and streghth in life. God bless you.
I am soooo excited for this new book to come out. For so many years from 1995 to 2002 I was always expecting Monica to lose the weight and return to her old form. It never happened, and now we're going to learn why. For me, it makes Monica even more human and even more incredible that she was able to play at such a high level (#3 to #8 in the world) WHILE suffering from an eating disorder. Monica is such a class act, I'm sure her book will give courage to MANY currently suffering from ED's.
I couldn't agree more with you. With all the problems she was facing, still she managed to remain in the top ten or top 5. That shows what Monica is made of, and she is such an example for all of us. She is truly an inspiration in my life, and I am sure for many others too.
yes the women is right when she says monica would be the greatest ever womens tennis player, if there had been the stabbing, but inspite of that she is one of the best and most sympathic athletes i have ever seen in sports histroy
Thanks for posting. I've been a fan of hers since the 1989 French Open. How lucky I was to have such a great role model growing up. She's a true champion on and off the court. I can't wait to read the new book.
Chris Evert is also a classy lady--always giving credit and oaccolades to others.
