Whilst those in favour will always say that other traditions and faiths are recognised and respected it will always result in an "us" and "them" culture, if this happens in childhood it is unlikely to change and people will always look back (to 1690) rather than forwards and trying to find a way to co-exist in a peaceful manner.

I don't know if many in Scotland are aware of the IRA and how hated they are by Irish Catholics as well. Don't blame the marchers. The problem is that there are some people (onlookers) who are so stupid, so thick they can't contain themselves that they start causing trouble. Why can't they let people express their heritage and why can't the marchers "supporters" take pride in promoting themselves peacefully and not be bams? One side has to be the first to grow up and stop provoking the other then maybe one day things here will become more peaceful it would improve the standard of living for us all.

personaly i have no problem with a parade but the orange walk is annoying every time they do a parade traffic gets backed up and all the city's police gets dispatched to stop the marchers getting beaten up
