  • is this weapon rare or is it possible to purchase? because thats an awsome gun

  • chinese pistol from fallout 3 lol

  • That pistol is huge! I read about the Mauser c96 many times but this is my first time seeing it loaded and shot. Wow! Thanks for posting!

  • An icon! I just found one wartime commercial too, with Kriegsmarine acceptation stamp, for a fair price, Just have to wait the papers... Good vid anyway!

  • I love my C96 (1915 Model), dissasemble is a pain in the ass after each shooting ( corrosive ammo -.- ), but it is such a fun gun. It's always an attention getter at the range I go to!

  • Aw man, I'm so jealous

  • im no expert but does that hammer moving back and forth behind the gun have any chance of slamming the user on his thumb?

    -

  • @fullfist It is a concern with the stock fixed as your thumb must cross over. Without the stock the hammer doesn't come close to your thumb.

  • Alleman Fabric...best material

  • I can't decide between a C96 or a P08 Luger for my first handgun, which would use pick given your experiences?

  • @something01992 Something that is not a century older than you are is a good start.

  • @csmybuttt I shoot .22 revolvers all the time. Also, my neighbor has every Sig Sauer under the sun that I shoot, I'm not new to handgun shooting, and since I'm a college student, I won't carry.

  • @something01992 Really? You need a fucking permit to even smell a gun or ammo in Illinois, where I'm an exam week away from my bachelor's.

I misinterpreted your question in the context of someone unfamiliar with handguns, something your channel proves wrong.

Although I doubt I am qualified to give my opinion, I'd go with the P08, since it uses the popular 9mm, and doesn't allow the possibility of hammer bite.

  • @something01992 how much money do you have ? the c 96 is very expensive .. unless your "opa" served in the "Kaiserliches Heer " or the "wehrmacht" and got one of these

  • looks tough to reaload..

  • @RogerVan92 Faster than a loading-gate revolver which was its primary competition in the 1890's when it was designed.

  • I LIKE YA MOWZA.

  • dods:)

  • i wonder how many Germans had their thumbs ripped up by that nasty hammer bite. hurts just thinking about it.

  • I use in Resident Evil 4

  • i bet everyone whos never seen this gun thought he was gonna put a mag in the pistol, when it actually has an integrated magazine

  • will someone please make WW1 CALL OF DUTY

  • Wouldn't this be the Astra Spanish reproduction seeing as how it uses those stripper clips?

  • @HackerAndBootSniffer It's a Mauser. They've used 10-round stripper clips since 1896. The roll marks on the side of the frame and top of the chamber assert that.

  • Merchant: Ahh..... A choice of an avid gun collector, it's a nice gun stranger!

  • Ugh stripper clips are a pain :/

  • @ForFREEDOM13 Part of the gun's character. You learn to love them.

  • @DrakeGmbH

    Underneath Chuck Norris's Beard there's a fist holding a Mauser C.96

  • @DrakeGmbH

    I agree

  • Now that's cool!

  • lol. The popping noises from the stock/holster is cute. It's like a canteen like thing with a purified fresh drink.

  • Great gun, my fave.

  • Very Han Solo's blaster-ish, cool.

  • hitman Agent 47

  • These look cooler than modern-day pistols.

  • LOVE THIS GUN! FUCK LUGER, FUCK WALTHER, FUCK COLT AND FUCK TOKAREV,I KEEP WITH THIS ONE!

  • @CSnakeV high five!

  • @diazhungi Lol.

  • @CSnakeV

Show respect. Colt, Walther, Luger, Tokarev are the best firearms manufactures on the face of the Earth.

  • @KingCommando32 Luger and Tokarev are not weapons manufacturers, they´re just GUNS (exept for luger, because the 9MM is 9MM parabellum Luger) Walther is Ok (in Compact Firearms) and Colt is nice too, but I Rather prefer Mauser C96 than Colt M1911-A1, Have you forgotten Izhevsk Mechanical Works (Ak 47 manufacturer) I like the guns I said "Fuck" but i Prefer Mauser C96 (it is better an anyone else).

Get some information before talking to me (Please, calling Luger a manufacturer?)

  • @CSnakeV

Luger? lol. I meant Georg J. Luger the designer.

  • @KingCommando32 Specify then, if you say Luger, others will think that you mean Luger as a Manufacturer.

  • @CSnakeV

    lol sorry.

  • @KingCommando32 Dont worry xD.

Anyway, Luger P-08 was a rival of the Mauser C96, C96 and P-08 were two options of the german military, luger won (money talks D:)

  • @CSnakeV Wasn't that much about the money. The C.96 was vying for contracts long before the P.08 was introduced. The Borchardt-Luger M1899 was hopeful but the German miiitary requested a larger diameter loading - so Georg Luger introduced the 9x19mm Parabellum and chambered the M1904 in this caliber. It was adopted by the German Navy. Once the Luger had a foothold, Mauser couldn't attract enough interest to change the contracts.

  • @DrakeGmbH Nice.

But, instead, the Mauser C96 was ordered by Italian Army, British Officers, Soviet Union, China (later they made the Shanxi type 17, with could use .45 ACP, it was ussually modified so it could fire full-auto, but it jammed a lot) Luftwatte requested 5.000 of the M712 model, the most interesting thing of the mauser is it stock-holster, kind of useful, eh?

PS:Size was a problem too, C96 is bigger than Luger (exept for artillery model) both are nice, and have unique things.

  • i dont really like the case...i dont know why...

  • For some reason those shoulder stocks were very popular in the late 19th century.

  • I want one of these. Shame Swedish law probably won't allow the stock.

  • I want one of these. Shame Swedish law probably won't allow the stock.

  • Thumbs uo if ur here coz of RE 4

  • @MetallumGamer

I'd be here regardless of Resident Evil 4.

    It's a damn fine gun.

  • @MetallumGamer I WOULD TOTALLY WANT TO ADD THE NOISES OF GANADOS AS HE SHOOTS AND STUFF :P

  • @MetallumGamer And thumbs down if because of Sherlock Holmes Game of Shadows?

  • Just a few words to tell you that an interesting downloadable ebook on this model (technical and historic aspects) is available at HLebooks.com.

  • im 13 and my grandpa owns one of these(

  • @thepersonasleep what was the point of telling us your age?

  • @woahcoolwaffles121 im gonne be honest..i have no fucking clue it was just there i ddidnt mean to tyoe it

  • @thepersonasleep no need for apoligies.

  • thumbs up if you came here from crossfire videos xD

  • Beautiful gun

  • wow you can barely tell the hammer moves?!

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAA NICE!!!

  • there is a sying, why do you look at me as a loaded mauser? :D

to underline that someone is about to go off as a bomb ;)

  • Resident evil 4 XD

  • a gun that actually uses a clip and not a magazine!

  • Drake when u gonna post up another vid?

  • Does it need two tax stamps for full auto and SBR? or does one stamp cover the whole weapon?

  • @evildude109 A transferable machine gun (registered prior to May 1986) is exempt from other NFA registration. The barrel length and presence of a stock is inconsequential. This, however, is a C&R pistol and requires no tax stamps.

  • @DrakeGmbH Ah, okay. Thanks for the info.

  • Is it possible to load the magazine without a stripper clip?

  • @llong91 Somewhat, it takes about three hands. You need to hold the frame, retract the bolt and hold it to the rear and then load the rounds into the magazine. The stripper clip functions as a bolt stop to keep it from closing on your fingers while loading. I've managed it before by holding the 'wings' of the bolt handle with my first two fingers and pushing against the frame with my thumb which leaves one hand free to load. Not very quick but it works if you don't have a stripper clip handy.

  • the only reason i know about this gun is cuz of resident evil 4 and it makes look so easy to reload

  • beautiful gun my next handgun

  • nice gun...

  • Is the C96 generally hard to reload?

  • @MrCrimsonLance About what you see here in the video. Ease of loading depends a lot on the quality of the stripper clip - which is generally a rather cheap item made from a piece of bent brass or steel and a flat spring. If the clip is too flexible it's a real pain to strip the rounds into the pistol. The same difficulties with many charger-fed rifles. To contrast the C.96 - check out my video of the Steyr-Hahn. The chargers are much more rigid so it's very easy to load.

  • Its really crap, living in a country where the only weapons you can have are .22 rifles, or revolvers used only for hunting or you get an automatic 15 year sentence, or you can only have flintlocks which have to be over 200 years old or you get a simular sentence.

  • How can u get one

  • Incredible videos ! No bull ! No talking, just shooting (camera and rounds) ! You have a stellar collection of firearms DrakeGmbH ! Keep up the great work !

  • @DrakeGmbH which do you prefer the luger or the broomhadle?

  • @BearMilitia The Broomhandle is more fun to shoot but the Luger is much more comfortable. Kind of a tough decision.

  • man i would love to buy me a c96 broomhandle a red 9 version

  • @milkman3177 shut the fuck up and quit trolling ever1's sick of it no1's gonna stick up and team up with u if u dont got anything inteligent to say then nut up or shut up u crack whore!! And the C.96 happends to b a really good german pistol if u ask me cause im acually a weapons expert but in the other hand u i say all u do is go home shit your pants cry your dumb jewish ass off and wip your ass on a old dish towl at a old diner in the golf of mexico with a tumble weed jamed up your ass! prik!

  • @germanairsoft12 Your insults are neither clever or particularly insulting.

  • @fuzzyboy501 hey fuzzy dick fuck off if I was talkin to u I would of let u know so just go touch your fuzz stick and fuck off

  • @germanairsoft12 Do you like the word fuzz and fuck cause you seem to. And dont be a little bitch boy and get your panties in a knot. And your insults sucked this time too. Good job proving me wrong.

  • 0:21 I'd get a strange satisfaction Pushing all those bullets in the broomhandle...

  • Great vid man :D

  • I love how the stock itself is so large that it can fit the entire firearm in it lol

  • are these still in production?

that gun looks a bit old

  • @runnybabbit12 These have been out of production since 1939. This particular model was made between 1914 and 1918.

  • @runnybabbit12 The Broomhandle c96 was invented in 1901 by the German army.

  • redaction. Highest velocity handgun till 357

  • Most powerful round in a handgun until the 357 magnum was produced. Super cool antique handgun.

  • Do they make a larger holster for it?

  • @jshsmith1995 Larger than the stock? I don't think they get much bigger than that. I've seen some leather flap holsters for it but I don't own one.

  • WOW first how did you get this and where can you buy one????

  • @thenxtnavyEOD Mine came from a Gunbroker auction. I don't have a source that specializes in C.96's, though.

  • I've inherited a 7.63 C96 (ser no. 422xxx) that my grandfather "liberated" during WW2. It's in outstanding condition and I look forward to shooting it soon. I have one stripper clip with 8 rounds of ca. 1944 ammo (DWM 403) and hope to find a local supplier for Prvi Partizan ammo soon so I can spend some time at the range getting to know her better!

  • han solo's blaster pistol? lol

  • @1tylerF Actually yes, parts of the Mauser were used to make Han Solo's gun.

  • @vollsticks haha i knew it! xD

  • red dead redemption got me here!!

  • are all theses guns actually yours or rentals

  • @gunsman988 Yes, they're mine.

  • What type of ammo do you use?

  • @TheStrazy Fiocchi and Prvi Partizan.

  • @DrakeGmbH Thank you .

  • @DrakeGmbH sbr registered?

  • @h4xor27 NFA exempt.

  • @DrakeGmbH is that were it is alowed because of the age of it

  • @TheStrazy Mauser c96 should take 9mm

  • @jckulewsky Only if it has a big red "9" on it mine is a 7.63 also.

  • the Type 96 Pistol from Puchitto Rock Shooter?!

  • Damn where did you get that gun? AWESOME! Honestly the Mauser C96 is a really awesome military pistol.

  • Press 7, the Mauser will be transformed in a machine gun :D

  • jesus people, the stock is for BETTER AIM and RECOIL REDUCTION, YES you can take it OFF for the love of god the stock is even a case for it so YES YOU CAN TAKE IT OFF, use common sense, no offense but jeez seriusly. -.-

  • red 9

  • I apologize if this has already been asked, but how did you come across this weapon and how much did it cost you? Thank you.

  • its pathetic how many of you just cant let it roll off your shoulders when i express why i dont like this gun. lol, its like people have different opinions or something

do yall ever see a comment you dont agree with, read it, and then just move on w/ your lives or is there always gonna be a bitch fit?

  • @Milkman3177 I don't get wound up, I just block folks who can't seem to hold a civil discussion in the comments.

  • Can you fire it without the wooden stock?

  • @thewulfone stock its optional, the stock its useful to reduce recoil AND get better precision

  • @Milkman3177 You could at least put some effort into your trolling.

  • @Milkman3177 Well milk man Ive personally shot one of these and IN 1896 when they were introduced they were the pinnacle of technology because semiautomatic pistol were something new

  • @chernobylexploder dont take my comment to heart, i dont always mean what i say, the way it looked just rubbed me wrong, thats all

  • @Milkman3177 Mate you are a twat. This was one of the first practical semiautomatic pistols. In its day it was a massif leap forward in handgun design. It has been rebuilt as a hunting rifle and a smg. It has also see successful service in a large number of wars around the world. It was the weapon of chose of Sir Winston Churchill when he was a reporter in Southern Africa and saved his life on several occasions.

  • @tina6581 its an opinonated comment you buttmunch ...non of what you said has any logical value in the context of this situation, go give your history lesson to someone who cares

  • @Milkman3177 And you should stop trolling with your bullshit and poorly though out comments. You don’t like a clip someone has gone to great effort you post. Just move on. don’t leve bullshit comments and you want get an online twating son. Fuck off back to your COD fantasy world.

  • @tina6581 welcome to the free world bud btw, I own an ar-15 and a 12 gauge so u can take your COD crap and shove it, also as far as well thought out comments..lol, you have no authority to appeal to when trying to prove that effort has any objective value to it at all. what people "do" doesnt have an actual measure of intrinsic value unless divinley appointed. thats philosophy my boy; proving to people that the foundations on which they stood are never as sturdy as they think since time began

  • @Milkman3177 Thats a bit of dogma not philosophy twat. You really do like your bull shit don’t you. :-)

  • @tina6581 you wouldnt know bullshit from the food you eat for breakfast. and yeah its philosophy mate. try getting a little post-primitive thought in ya

  • @Milkman3177 you are boring bye bye pee brain

  • @tina6581 lol, you managed another comment without killing your mental capacity, wanna cookie?

  • @Milkman3177 Just because you own 2 damn guns that doesnt mean you can use them, there a big diference between owning a gun and using it

  • @CSnakeV youre damn right, thats why i know how to use em bud, btw you should probably get back to your counterstrike match

  • @Milkman3177 CS its for kids, newbies, or assholes.

I have better thing to do than playing that damn game...

PS:It just got boring have to do the same damn things

  • @Milkman3177 Im not surprised, german guns are like marmite, you either hate them or love them.

  • @Milkman3177 Just because you hate this gun i hate you, this is my favourite gun 4live.

PS:If you hate the clip fed, just get the 712 model, thats an auto handgun, and the woodenstock,JUST DONT USE IT!

PSS: The stock had to be from wood because, ITS A STOCK, DUH! Stocks are useful to aim better and reduce recoil.

  • @Milkman3177 you're retarded my friend, you don't even know the difference between seen and scene. your a little kid and you've probably never fired a gun before. the stock is removable btw. dumb cunt

  • Mauser -rocks !!

    i like this model !)

  • Dose it take a post production conversion or some thing to make it run using external magazines?

  • @ZACY29 Different frame. There were some detachable magazine models late in the production series but the vast majority have fixed magazines.

  • Han Solo? lol jk

  • Do you own every one of the guns that you shoot or do you rent some?

  • @5xClay These are all mine with the exception of the Five-seveN - that was loaned to me by a friend.

  • lol i love how in red dead redemption this gun shoots 15 rounds and is automatic... obviously that is complete bullcrap

  • Resident Evil 4 ^^

  • So is this Gun Hard to find or what?

  • Stripper clips? I thought this thing was mag fed. She do both?

  • @CF4LIf3 Fixed magazine. Top fed with stripper clips.

  • @DrakeGmbH Ouch.

  • @CF4LIf3 I'm not sure what you mean by that. That's how it was designed and originally produced. There were some later variants that used detachable magazines but they are far less common than the standard 10-round clip-fed fixed mags.

  • @DrakeGmbH I've seen a detachable magazine one before and it makes sense that there was other variants. But I can imagine trying to reload that thing really quick when you've got Brits, Yanks, Russians or even Canadians charging at ya...

  • @CF4LIf3 What you're thinking of is the M712 Schnellfeuer. Its the machine-pistol variant.

  • @CF4LIf3 The C97 i think it is, is the one that takes the mags, and is fully automatic

  • @TapRackBoom ah ok, Learn something new everyday. Thanks.

  • so the gun is stored in the buttstock?

  • Sexiest handgun ever.

  • german gun

  • you got to be like Clint Eastwood from Joe Kidd and shoot it like a machine gun

  • it looks similer to the chinese pistol from fallout 3 =]

  • what is the point of the stock?

  • @nunvikingsofthesea The same as any stock, I'd imagine - to brace it against your shoulder.

  • @DrakeGmbH is it more comfortable to shoot? It looks kind of awkward to hold?

  • @nunvikingsofthesea It has hardly any felt recoil when using the stock. Very stable and it brings the sights closer to your eyes which allows you to shoot more consistently. Everything about the C.96 is at least somewhat awkward, but you get used to it once you learn where you need to keep your thumb to avoid the hammer.

  • What caliber round does this take?

  • @WhoLetTheGuyOut 7.63x25mm.

  • Hey Drake, are you just a gun enthusiast...or a post military man?
