  • Those cars look ridiculous with the giant intakes.

  • Pussies? Get in any F1 car, from any year, and do one lap around the simplest track available at anything approaching racing speeds ...and if you haven't soiled yourself - or worse - perhaps you can convincingly call any F1 driver a pussy.

Balls is Niki Lauda being nearly incinerated alive at Bergwerk the year after this video, being told his career was over, and returning merely six weeks later to finish fourth at Monza.

  • American cocksuckers, thats rich...By the way have you seen rubens barrichello walk & talk.....If Miss Thang had as many cocks sticking out of her as she had stuck in her she would look like a porcupine

  • at 5:55 the Tyrrel is taking chances watch the car going in a slide and dropped speed out of the turn..!

  • I'm sad for not have been born in this epic. I was born in 1979, so the Germany GP was being held in Hockenheim, right?

  • So fast...

  • Come to watch a great lap on the Nord? First comment is great! Everything else is just a bunch of racism toward me and everybody who was born in my country.

Racism for the win. You know you're a fucking idiot if all you have to say about the Nordschleife is that "Americans can't turn right".

  • I cant tell, but is that the Tyrell P-34 chasing in second place?

The Ring; where dreams are made...and shattered.

  • undoubtedley the best track in the world.....EVER.

  • wussy. only about 7:10

  • when what it really mattered was the sport...

  • how many laps did they used to to

  • @TheNigerianScammer I think it was 14 laps or something close to that.

  • 8 people either stupid or geeks...

  • it is amazing

  • How many laps was the race? 15?

  • @utheman01 14

  • Pole Position of that year: Niki Lauda in 6:58.6!

I cannot imagine what can do an actual F1...

  • the air intake looks like a mail box haha

  • can anyone imagine lewis hamilton, alonso, button and webber and all those photo-opportunity wannabe playboy pussies now having to drive a car (not a computer) around this circuit? they would piss their pants and go home crying to their mothers. In the old days F1 drivers were playboys because they knew that life was pretty short and so they enjoyed themselves and nobody minded. now they are just pampered sportsmen like footballers. i shit on the pussycat dolls!!!!!!!!!

  • @055697

Kimi Raikkonen was definitely of the old mould. He didn't give a shit about press conferences and looking nice to all the sponsors. He just wanted the racing and the wild partying afterwards.

Little surprising Raikkonen once entered a snowmobile race under the alias "James Hunt"; who really was the ultimate playboy driver of the 70's.

  • @055697 Most of those drivers have completed hot laps around the Nordschleife. They haven't done so in an F1 car because the track hasn't suited F1 cars since the mid 1970's. congratulations on being ignorant, out of date, insulting and a hopeless wannabe yourself. What's your great motoring achievement?

  • @beeflin

you list your interests as including ''sex''. this presumably means that you watch gay porn.

  • @055697 if you search youtube you'll find all those drivers doing laps on Nordschleife. You are wrong, they love it

  • @055697 Alonso and Webber are famously PRIVATE about their lives. They are the furthest things from photo-opportunity playboy pussies as one can get. Remember Le Mans 1999? Three Mercedes backflips? Webber was in the car for TWO of them, and he still wanted to enter the race. Learn a little something about the current drivers before you start calling them pussies.

  • @UltimateWheelman

yeah well, Hamilton obviously took heed of my advice about ditching the Pussycat Dolls, LOL!

  • I'm a proud American, I think driving around in circles is dumb. I'm not taking away the skill that it requires. It's not very interesting.

  • @eviltwintheory : NASCAR?!

  • @eviltwintheory

So NASCAR and other GPs held in US America are not "very interesting" as well, are they?

  • @Gian092 The only race series worth watching is the ALMS. But it is hardly televised here. Thank goodness for the internet>)

  • @eviltwintheory

Lol you have no coherence since ALMS consists of either endurance or looped-road races which stay in the "driving around in circles" definition indeed and are also "dumber" according to your thought. Your "pride" is as legitimate and useful as the gay pride and lacks of intelligence, go and get some logic.

  • @Gian092 Your funny. You're soooooo smart. The 12 hours at Sebring or the Petite LeMans surely don't qualify as endurance races.

  • @eviltwintheory

Perhaps Mr. Einstein but the others do.

  • @eviltwintheory

Anyway you are wrong since these two races do qualify as endurance, you genius. You should revise your personal vocabulary and definitions prior to talking nonsense.

  • @eviltwintheory ah, yes they do! Certainly Sebring does.

  • it must have sucked watching this race at the track ppphhhaaaaaaaaaa 7mins later pppphhhhaaaaa

  • 7 americans cocksuckers oval lovers !

    Green Hell forevrr from Brazil

  • @oscoy Tsk, tsk. Brazil is in the Americas, too, you know. So what are you now? How does that cock taste, oval-lover?

  • @OgamiItto70 Im in BRazil yeahhh is in america but i´m not a moron like you.... !!! muthafucka !!!

Go race in a oval and tur to only one side... pffff maybe your mom have dick... fucker

  • @oscoy You're worse than a moron....You're Brazilian. Good luck getting out of the slums, cunt.

  • @oscoy I am glad that you verified all 7, now 8 dislikes were made by americans, not sure if i want to know how you found out that they also suck cock (hmmmmmm)....When you assume, you make an ass out of u and me

  • Shows how good Stefan Bellof 's time was in 84 with a huge ground-effect Porsche 956,

    6 min 17 secs

  • @Quadrant14 you do realize he was running on a slightly shorter track (the loop around the pits was cut out due to construction of the grand prix course

  • WHO IS THE 7 IDIOTS???AMERICANS IM SURE

  • @76sanyika

strange thing is i've met more idiot europeans than idiot americans, and i live in america. you get a frowny face, but the vid definitely gets a big thumbs up. the best drivers in the world ought to be racing on the best track in the world.

  • We could realize the lack of cameras during a entire lap. That's why they used aerial cams very much.

  • 7 people likes oval tracks

  • I wish that the FIA would do a one off race at the green hell...... that would whoop pussys into shape like hamilton

  • @CorvetteZr1S pussy? im pretty sure he can outdrive you in any car at any place. he drives on the edge with the rear swinging out, hardly any other f1 drives in such a fearless manner.

  • This is just crazy, even more than Monaco!

  • just think how the f1 cars of today would do in this track

  • GREEN HEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL ¡¡¡¡

  • Q1 would have to be an hour long just to get 3 hot laps in and refuel in the garage. But this track would be epic today.

  • Alot men where killed on this historic course. You have to respect this monster track great video!

  • but i can try with a simulator now. wait :D

  • According to formula one F1 Racing magazine of June 2006, BMW engineers had estimated that a BMW-Sauber F1.06 could lap in under 5:15.8 which equals to an average of 237 km/h (147 mph).

  • @gnubboleso Now that would be for RC versions only. Don't expect any driver to dare such a lap.

  • how fast will a modern f1 lap the nordschleife?

  • from wiki:

According to formula one F1 Racing magazine of June 2006, BMW engineers had estimated that a BMW-Sauber F1.06 could lap in under 5:15.8 which equals to an average of 237 km/h (147 mph).

  • @gnubboleso well an the speed was capped at 250 km/h and he had promo tyres that had no grip

  • wasn't it the following year in '76 when Lauda had his fiery crash close to Bergwerk?

  • @ml2487 where did it go, for all i know its still here

  • yes, bring it back. This video is awesome, and I wish I had a copy of the entire race.

Ladies and Gentlemen, trust me go to the Nurburgring and drive it for yourself. It is treated as a German National Toll Road, and you can drive this track at 1715 or 5:15pm every day. Check the schedules or call them as I did, and enjoy. It is big, huge fun. Also, visit the Tiergarten gas station as they have over one thousand model cars for sale, F1 steering wheels, and driving suits, shoes, and coffee.

  • 14.7/7minutes = 126mph average speed!!

  • Steffan Bellof only did this track in 6:11 because he was almost killing the car. Porsche made a wonderful car. Germany made a wonderful track. They don't build stuff like that anymore... plus, the top speed of the 2010 Red Bull is around 216mph,and the top speed of the Porsche 956 is around 235mph. Even Ferrari can't make anything that can do this track under 6 mins.... I must visit this track in my lifetime!! It is legendary!

  • @MegaSparky555 The speed of any F1 car is limited by the wings, and all the ridiculous restrictions. If allowed, f1 cars could go 250 mph

  • I want to see one of the modern Red Bulls do this this track. I would not be surprised if they finished under 6 minutes.

  • @KEITHRICHARDSFAN101 they would easily do it in under 6, the lap record is held by a Porsche 956 from 1983 and is 6:11. I dont think they could do it in under 5 but it would certainly be 5min something. The track is a bit too bumpy for modern f1 cars. F1 cars now a days are designed to run on a billiard table smooth surface, so they wouldnt get on too well over the bumps

  • @shazmeister2005 Singapore and Monoco are street circuits. F1 cars are purpose built, they can have a Nurberg ready car in a flash.

  • They don't build circuits like it anymore. For a good reason.

  • i think these were the turbo cars, they only ran them a short time in the 70's they were just plain too fast , some were nearing 245-50+ mph on the mosiane straight

  • @34D2234 Turbo didn't turn up until '78, most of these cars ran on naturally aspired V8 Cosworths or V12/F12 Ferrari or some similar engine.

  • were there any east german drivers in this race?

  • One day in life I want to be there!!!

  • I forgot how awkward f1 cars looked back then! They've got snorkel hats. lol

  • One lap down, just another thirteen left to go.

  • very sorry that they didnt use 500 cams to film the cars on the nordschleife as well..

  • why do the old motors sound better lol

  • @brucekirk89

sound better but model not so good...

  • @brucekirk89 cause they have soul!

  • I have this very footage transferred to dvd and when I managed to get hold of it, it was one of the best presents I ever had. You dont believe that it was going to be this good even when people talk about what it was like. Especially when you play it through an AMP with the exagerated volume levels this was recorded with. Its almost ike being there!

  • It is not a race track - it`s a drug ! And the only way to survive is : don`t ride there with a bike ! I`ve done over 5000 laps and than i crashed out of Adenauer Forst at 150 km/h , luckely with light injuries . After the crash i only ride a few laps again , but i stop to visit the Ring forever . My fastest laptime was 8.10 in the end .

  • @coxx661

    with moto bike?wow!

  • Aaah, love that footage :)

The problem about this track is that it is dangerous as f... , although you cant see it on most of the videos on YT, everyone whos been there knows that the track is bumpy like hell and the surface is old and not comparable to modern racetracks. This wouldnt be so bad if the track wasnt so fast. The corners are mostly long, and if you are only a little bit too fast you just fly into the barrier.

But it would be interesting to have a modern series like F1 driving on it

  • @FukEmUp145 since it was "modernized" it has claimed over 100 tourist lives on open track days, so i guess dangerous as f... is quite accurate XD

  • this is absolutly the most beautifull track of the world!

  • jaja se la pasan enfocando a lauda y a schekcter pero el ganador fue reutemann

  • I love playing this scenario out on rfactor with the Nurburgring70 track and the F1-75 mod were you can drive the very same Ferrari

  • that long flat-out bit just before the pit chicane must have been one of the most exhilerating drives in all of f1. just pedal to the metal!!!!!!!!! not enough of that these days sadly but f1 could never adequately marshal the nordschleife now with current health and safety considerations.

  • tenia k ser mas largu XD

  • this track could take the tedious monotony of modern F1...

  • Comment removed

  • well I don't see how it would be much more dangerous than monaco these days ok the speeds would be higher but put a load of marshalls out there it would be no different

  • @moondog637 You can say that because you've never been to the Ring. There are many dangerous sections on this track...and it's not a slow track.

  • Great victory for Reutemann with his Brabham...

  • they overtook the chopper on the long straight :D

  • i have a question to the nürburgring!

This 180° curve at the south of the parcours, do they also drive there at the new races???

  • @Ryan4050

No,all the south part were destroyed, now the old circuit is not connected anymore with the new.

Now the 180* is the mercedes arena, while the full circuit it simply connected without the south part.

  • @nittogoto82 thanks for this very interessting answer^^

  • i was amazing Niki did it in less than 7 minutes!

i wonder: how short we could do it now? less 6 minutes?

  • Mid to late 70's/early 80's F1 was the pinnacle!

Beautiful cars and amazing drivers - you just can't beat a field of Ferrari, Lotus, McLaren, Tyrrell, Brabham, Shadow, March, Lola, Penske, Surtees, Hesketh et al with Lauda, Regazzoni, Fittipaldi, Mass, Reutemann, Pace, Peterson, Ickx, Depailler, Scheckter, Pryce, Jarier, Brambilla, Stuck, Hunt, Andretti, Watson, etc.. at the wheel.

  • gotta love those mohawk air intakes!

  • Awesome vid

  • Danke fürs reinstellen! Super Video!

  • The longest version is 26 kilometers long

  • The worlds hardest track. 175 turns, 14 miles long, The unconquerable Nuburgring!!! All twisting through the German countryside.

  • It is hard thats true, but i love it!!!!

  • Id rather do pikes peak, the worlds highest track!

  • this is the year Niki Lauda lapped this track in under 7 minutes, when it was 14.7 miles long. incredible feat

  • Does F1 go there anymore? if not, THEY SHOULD!!!

  • not as such, they now go to the nurburgring which can be seen at the start with the label 2007.

  • @ Hmdwgf Der Rundenrekord von Niki Lauda Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Würde zu Keiner Zeit unterboten. Die 6.58.6 WIRD für Alle Ewigkeit Bleiben. Ich war Damals DABEI und Habe exaxt Diesen Tipp (This Zeit) bei Einem Quiz zum GP von Deutschland abgegeben und freiKarte Eine fürs Fahrerlager bzw. sterben Boxen GEWONNEN.

  • @hmdwgf That was 1976 in qualyfing, not 1975

  • @honda900000 No, it was 1975. Airboxes were banned in 1976 which made the cars slower, probably due to a lack of engine power because of the reduced cooling. And James Hunt was on pole position in 1976 with a McLaren-Ford with a time of 7 minutes 6.5 seconds.

  • @hmdwgf Ok, you are right. I thought the lap was one day before the crash.

  • Bring it back! This track is EPIC!!!!!

  • @ml2487 they will never bring it back this track was to demanding on the driver and the car sadly

  • @ml2487 Agreed

  • @ml2487 You said it, my friend. Epic.

  • @ml2487 problem is, if someone crashes, it takes about 5+ minutes to get to them, making this a very, very risky event.

  • @ml2487 The Nordschleife's inability to keep up with the rapidly changing safety regulations is what led Nürburgring brass to build the Grand Prix circuit. But you're right. The combined courses would be a hell of a ride.

  • @ml2487 Do you mean to bring it back to Formula one racing? Sadly it will never happen in the nearest decades or so, but I'm optimistic. The F1 drivers of today are forced to race on clean, boring, soulless circuits mostly built by the Grim Reaper of motor racing Hermann Tilke. The only remaing exceptions nowadays is Monaco, Canada, Monza, SPA and Suzuka.

  • @ml2487 the track isnt really good for the F1 cars

  • @ml2487 f1 will never come back to this track, still isn't safe for f1 cars, but it would be very cool to see what a modern f1 car could do for a lap time.

  • @lampliter25

Its way too bumpy on some parts for current f1 cars, they'll be pieces breaking off and shit.

  • @Regret696 yeah, far too bumpy, but i would figure if a super-soft suspension was applied and the driver slowed down for bumps, the car may last for one lap...maybe.

  • @lampliter25

Found a onboard vid of nick heidfeld doing a lap round the ring after i posted that comment :P Its in the suggestions

  • @Regret696 it was also limited on speed, not sure the precise speed, but i think its limited to about 160 mph.

  • Watch from 6:40, as they go on the back straight - they start to out run the helicopter!

At 6:58, they pass the helicopter and the cameraman has to zoom in to keep up with them! That's fast!

    Outrunning a helicopter!

  • helicopters can't realy go all that fast, at one point the blades on the forward stroke go faster than the speed of sound, rendering them useless. so top speed is limited by span with and rotation speed of the blades (exept for wierd stuff like the lynks)

  • Just the most beautiful sound in the world...with the exception of the Beatles of coarse! What an unbelievably dangerous race track!? As Niki Lauda found out in '76..I can hardly watch those F1 cars hammering down Nurburgrings' long straights is terrifying! Had anything happened they'd have had no chance..Despite F1's dark history it's still the greatest sport in the world bar none IMO. All the drivers hero's..Well fucking done Jenson! You top dude!! Yo! Hard luck Rubens! You did good sir. Hero!

  • they shouldnt make revisions to tracks for spectators sake, you may as well make ovals or go karts, just put up jumbotrons at the right spots and post up at your favorite corner, I'd sit at Flugplatz

  • wow..good ol' days

  • with only 14 laps it is not great for live spectators.(recently there were plans to shorten spa for eg.) safety is a concern:with no runoff, crashes would be deadly, debris would litter the track endengering other competitors. vehicle recovery would take too long and medical assistance's response time would be inadequatly slow. you may as well wish for removing seatbelts in racecars, but it won't happen.

  • bring back this!

  • yeah, ok.... on Playstation maybe

  • not a fan of racing then i take it

  • lol huh WHAT?! I work in the industry, brother!

I meant you cant bring back this grand circuit toF1, unless you like bloodsport :P

  • lol what on earth are you on about, there's not a driver on earth who wouldnt relish at the opportunity to drive this circuit maybe a few cars would crash but who cares no publicity is bad publicity

  • and that's why drivers don't make decisions, boy

  • wtf man, im off to uni in 2 weeks to do motorsport engineering, why the hell are you "in the industry" if you dont wanna give someone an adrenaline rush??

  • wtf? Im sure team owners and series administrators would have issues with mass carnage... We don't like to throw money away for a bit of a 'rush'. It's a business. I hope you learn that in engineering school!

  • i hope i don't i love racing because drivers defy physics that technology is yet unable to control if we dictate every aspect (like business' want to) then we've done motorsport. cars evolve we should take them to the edge not move the edge to the car

  • the cars are infinatly safer and the track has been improved since 1975. This track should definatly come back, after all the best racing curcuits of the modern calendar are always the long oldies

  • right on, fuck the fuzz!

  • id say these cars sound the best 2

  • what was the top speed at the back street and also I think they were using reps limitator at backstreet..Because too long ..

  • lol robots ya the computers r advanced, but u'd spin the tyres in 2 sec. if u tried to drive one. Them drivers got skillzzzzzzz

  • Probably ugliest cars ever..:D

  • Oh, so true!

  • no way! 2008 cars were ugly !

  • Proper open wheeler racing cars, with proper tyres, being driven by men, not aerodynamic automatic shitboxes being driven by robots like todays F1 piles of crap

  • around 14-15 laps..

  • Does anyone know how many laps they ran for a complete Grand Prix here?

  • i think it were about 15.

  • Good view of the "Lauda Left Kink" at 3:45, where he had his horrible crash in '76

  • This is unreal... I can't even imagine the balls of these guys driving this course..

  • wow nurburgring is one long ass place to race at

  • Man i would have loved to be there listening to those screaming thrrough the hills

  • Insane! But cool!

  • Amazing Video quality for 1975!

Great racing back in those days.

The F1 sure wont return to the Nordschleife, cause no one wants the track to be changed.

  • Its truly amazing how far aerodynamics have come. these days an average person could point out several aerodynamic flaws in these cars, let alone the ones from the early 60s.

  • Next years cars are going to look like that because of the no refueling policy that Bernie has asked for

  • I only can say thank you. This video is incredible man!

  • Thats amazing.

  • Isn't it? What a spectacular day it was, too.

  • the cars are awesome!

  • Comment removed

  • they have to sanitize that track so much, i think alot of people wouldn't want it to happen. but i do support repairing the banking at monza! after watching Grand Prix the movie i would have to suggest concrete barriers with safer burriers and maybe a chicane on the back stretch of the oval but that would be awesome
