Waching yiur vids with interest mate,im on a campaign at the mo at a local res. Not a touch in 6 24 hour sessions and countless 12 hr sessions in the last month and a half. Frustrating! Ive had to stop yesterday too as it finally froze over! Roll on monday and the warm front.
Well it paid off at last!! First fish of the year yesterday, nice 15lb common, probably the most welcome fish in a while!! but you are right...brrrrr!!!
Just been offered a ticket for horton church lake steve. Any other year I would have taken it, but at £670 and 160 miles away I think it will have to wait. Top blogging steve.
Looks like you were enjoying your party for "1" Steve.Lets see if you can get a few carp to join you !! Cant wait too see how you get on exploiting the feeder situation, looks very appetizing .
ppl eh?dnt you just luv em.dont worry m8.i suppose it depends on the recent pressure the lakes received if any.there awkward buggers at the best of times, but ive a sneaking suspicion itll work out well, that weather looks gr8 for a bite or two
is it just pellet that there used to being fed or do they receive wheat or other particles on any kind of regular basis ste,do the fish see many anglers?
Strange they aren't showing themselves Steve. Do you think the boat puts them down, or that it is just that kind of 'quiet' water? Why do you want sunshine and calm, you're always cursing it over the pack. Do you just want to see them up on top to have something to go at?
I had a good thought about them not showing Martin. As you know I have a theory linking digestion and muscular action of the intestines of a carp too their rolling and leaping activity. This leads me to believe that they simply were not feeding much and thus the lack of rolling. When they did start to feed they started to roll, but thats for the next episodes
The boat definitely put them down big time and I lost fishing time because of it:(
I wondered when somebody would pick up on the totally different weather conditions I was looking for?
Yes your right, I just wanted to see some carp. I knew they would be more active on the plateau with the sun out and I was on holiday! I wanted it to shine, I wanted to use my bar-b-q! and wear my shorts!
Nice vid again Steve.Yeah,I hate it when a DJ talks over the intro & ending of a song!Hmmm have you tried the margins or even right next to that feeder??!!
why weren't you dancing when you were having a party?lol. Another great vid. i love fishing in weather like that were it absolutely pisses down then stops and you can get out your bivvy/umbrella and walk around without getting soaked.

Have not fished for chub in years mate.
I think you should get someone who knows a bit about it.
I searched for 'chub fishing' on YouTube here and came up with 190 results so you should find somthing there.
I can recomend any book on chub by Peter stone though.

Well mabee it was just a couple if KGs:) a slight exaggeration on my part perhaps:P
Yes he knows what he is doing, its his water and he has fished it plenty.
Thing is, there is a lot of carp in there and you can pile the bait in because your not competing against any other anglers bait.

The fish are fed pellet at times of the year when the lake is not fished so much. When anglers fish it they get the usual fair.
There are just a few lads that fish it and guests and your most likly to have the lake to yourself when your there.
But then lake #3 at the pack used to be like that too eh. Not now though, cannot understand why%-)

Nice one geezer another top blog, sticking it out sorts the men from the boys dunnit.
This is why a lot of people pack carping up they just cant hack the harder sessions unlike lads like you and me eh.
We know it will come good if we stick it out some days are just mellow others are mad great fun all part of carping.
