Lyte was a breath of fresh air back then, I I used to DJ bought everything she made, every payday I was in Downstairs records getting what was new, then head over to Downtown Records and get some more. Latifah was nice too back then, she mellowed out with U.N.I.T.Y. but Latifah came hard too! Those were amazing days for Rap music and music in general.

the female rappers that are out cannot hold a candle to the ones you listed...they actually had talent, they didn't have to be half assed naked to get attention, their talent spoke for itself..they didn't beef with each other, or sex wasn't the topic of their lyrics...they worked so hard to pave the way for female rappers and the ones now just messed it all up
