The Bobcat Who Died Before my Eyes

I saw a bobcat one time out deerhunting i was siting on the ground and it came to about 10 yards from me and never knew i was there it was awesome to see it and i never thoult to shoot it no reason to.

Thats a bobcat. If you pulled her out of the water, I'm guessing she had severe hypothermia. I am proud that you would save her. I found a raccoon in a trap once. I let it out because the guy who caught it abuses the coons before he kills them. I could have gotten my face ripped off too.

@SiK0Fuzz1es Fur animal avoid going into the water for that reason. Very few mammals have water tolerant fur. Only a very hot and sunny day could dry it out, and even then it might not be dry enough to survive the cold evening and night.

You obviously never lived without the luxury of electric appliance. And if you ever went to the woods, you would have know how dangerous it is to be wet when the sun go down. Keeping your cloth(or fur), dry is your priority because it is your primary shelter.

I know very well the dangers of said things and I also know that an animals fur doesn't need the assistance of a very hot day in order to dry. The sun is necessary of course, but that is just common sense. Whether it's 90 degrees or 50 degrees.. an Animal can maintain itself well enough. It's in their instincts, yes?

When large cats are found in the water, usually it is an act of suicide, in which the cat actually wants to die. When you came over and interrupted this completely normal act of nature, the cat held its breath until it drowned. This also explains why you were to retrieve it from the water so easily. Coyotes are dogs, and dogs howl when things go terribly wrong. Whether that was the cat's suicide, or your human interruption, I can't be too sure without asking the coyote.
