Have a look at FlushMiser on the web, its a little brass weight that you can install yourself in the cistern that lets you choose what sized flush you need each time. The toilet only flushes while you hold the button down- so you press and release quickly for "yellow" about 1 litre and hold and count to 4, about 4 litres to send the "brown" on its way!!! It really works and saves about 6 buckets of water per day per person!!

Well a while ago i saw a vid on how to conserve water from flushing the toilet. If your toilet uses about 7 gallons of water each flush, then fill a water bottle with pebbles and water until it will sink. and place the water bottle in the water tank of the toilet. That way, it uses less water each flush, and there will still be enough water to flush way your waste.
