Fatherte101.... I totally agree.... The Irish are renowned for there patriotism and I for 1 am dam proud of it.... As for you DynamiteBaiter... Stick it up your ass!!! Your not good enough to be Irish so ya can stay saluting the union jack.... Personally i prefer it as toilet paper!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hay now this is my gr8 gr8 gran uncle... show some respect to him. he died over there from tb and never got home to his family...... pretty sad dont you think???
yeah i suppose i should have respect this poor guy living in warm sunny dry california when he could be living in cold damp raining ireland and be miserable like the rest of us life just is'nt fair
I wonder could you able to say same words after spending 3 years in another country. That is called homesickness dude get over it. you obviously dont know how lucky you are!!!
@missmarplefan quit whining, you're worse than a 50 year old battleax going through menopause. Your one of those whores that just like to bitch and moan for the sake of bitching and moaning.
Then don't listen to it? Being a specific race doesn't mean you're going to automatically like your peoples music. I'm Persian and half white and I like Irish music more than most Irish people.
Ok miss marple fan, continue listening to your globalist shite, and sell out your own peoples music and culture while you do it. Im sick of ignorant arseholes like yourself, i personally cannot see how anyone can dislike this song, never mind an irish person. Well fuck off over to the united states then or whereever, go listen to eminem or some gobshite like that. You dont have to listen, just dont be so disrespectful.
@fatherted101 hey i like eminem too, xD but irish music touch my heart and im a boy and not gay and no irish man, but this song is beatiful, i love it
My mom's family is all Irish, hell we still have close cousins living in Brene. But it doesn't mean that I consider myself Irish enough to get all teary eyed at songs like this one albeit a great song. My dad's family is Ukrainian. Weird mix I know.
such a beautyful folksong and sung with a great voice.
Voice, guitar and recorder... the only instrument i'm missing is a fiddle. I play the accordion myself and will cover this song any time later. Probably the missing fiddle was by purpose to give it a calm and silent touch. Nevertheless a very good, very successful interpretation. Bravo. 5 stars !

You don't get a vote, you obese 1/24th Irish gobshite. What, was your great grandmother a Murphy? No, before you ask, I didn't know her. But from what I heard, everybody else did. Ignorant sentimental yanky gobsheen, you haven't a clue.

Probably closer to 1/10th or 1/8th actually. ;)
I don't know what a Murphy is.
I'm not sentimental, I just love great music. Actually, more of my ancestors were busy kicking your ancestors Irish asses than were busy fighting Cromwell or whomever, and failing. Cheers bitch.
yah im 100% irish and my last name is Murphy so fuck you signor. and i say if it wasnt for the wolfetones much of the irish folk songs wouldnt be as well known as they are now.
One of my favorite songs ever. lol, I heard some punk band's cover of it a while back and about crapped my pants. Still, I think they did it justice. Someone tell me who it was?

This sounds like a song from the Hobbit cartoon. I'm not making fun of it by the way, I fucking love the wolfe tones. This song is awesome, better than Cruachan's version.
Such a beautiful song, and so sad. Funny thing though, it always gives me nerve. Depresses me, then makes me feel stronger. Sad Irish songs I think have a way of doing that.
