  • Maravilhoso

  • The harmony is outstanding. They were a class act in the sixties

  • The Gospel Chimes were the hottest group out there during their recordings.Even without James cleveland they would pack a house. They were full of energy and innovative gospel character!

  • Thank you Jesus, this is music. On Sunday mornings you could walk in any Baptist church in Baltimore and after the pastor did the call to worship. An organist would start playing an old Wicks or an Aeolian-Skinner and the choir would process into the choir loft. Some deep voiced deacon would pray and the windows of heaven would open wide. After the reading of His holy word, the directress would raise the Gospel chorus and they would sing the church happy. My God, now that was "Church".

  • Amen V33. Thanks for the comment.

  • Yeah Saint you right. Back in those days, singers song with convection. They knew what they were singing about. Now days, it's hard to figure out what anybody is saying. I grew up in the old days, didn't grow up in this new style of music. lol. It's nothing wrong with it, as long as you are singing it for the Lord and not letting it become worldly. So many of our gospel artists think you have to change the music to draw people, the word of God is what does the drawing by God's holy spirit.

  • This is singing

  • I love that type of singing.
