  • you'll be a mod for your lifetime, unless you mess it up. And you won't lose your mod status if you make too many mutes in an hour, that'll simply stop you from being able to use the mute ability. Then jagex will check your mutes and eventually you'll get your ability back (so your crown will always stay)

  • Your such a liar pmods do not get demoded

  • @mdcjr10 they do get demoded sometimes. Look at jiblix video. He lost 2 crowns

  • faggot

  • Mods CANNOT BE demoded unless you break offence. And the last picture means you broke a rule.

  • Omg. I love how all of this is wrong.

  • Psh no what about funorb BITCHES!

  • u fail

  • I love P-mods who revolt against the system

  • Re: ABILITY TO RUIN PEOPLE's LIVES. = Troll Moderators, I've seen lots around all chatting database websites... Suggestions: Number 1.(Not recommended) Troll with him. Number 2.(Recommended) Report him...

  • This is all fake, I am sorry!

Only a small fraction of this video is true!

  • "Because, they like to abuse their powers.... like me." xD Lol...

  • Oh, and it's QUALITY over QUANTITY. Just keep that in mind :).

  • What helps you to become a player moderator?

    Respect the rules extremely

    Be nice and respectfull

Be security with others and yourself tell them to read faq... more info contact me

  • I'd say as Pmod, only real thing is that warning at 3:06

  • first of all...i have seen a lvl 3 with lvl 1 in everything except 10 hp of course...he SAID HIS LVLS WITH QUICKCHAT!!! second...excessive pk??? thats bullshit...and now its 2 hard 2 list all the wrong things cus it wouldnt even fit in 5 comment boxes.

  • Wow Bro, I Happen To Be A Player Moderator. You Can Get Info How To Become A Mod In Runescape Home And Type In " Player Moderators " Then Search.

  • Nothing about that is true! Your making some random stuff up... Learn some real facts about the game!

  • as most of this video so well... a load of crap... reporting does NOT help you become a pmod and being friends with a pmod does NOT help you become a pmod.

  • Comment removed

  • You probably got de-modded because a lot of what you say in this video is complete BS.

  • You got demodded because and I quote you said "a lot of mods like to abuse thier powers, like me" Thats why you get demodded If you play your cards right then you can bea mod for ever

  • how long would it take to become p mod?

  • Your thing is a lie not true!

  • omg u could be the one who muted me! lol oh well :D

  • Trust me - It doesn't =)

  • YOUR A FACKING NERD DUDE

  • Is this a crap?

  • biggest load of bullshit ever

  • lol, I hate player mods. They're nothing but snitches and kiss-ups to Jagex.

  • fag douche fag douche suck my balls lick my ball fro eat my cock fix your faggot voice and i bet u get made of every day.

  • The only reason you got your Player moderator status removed is because you think you can get away with the shit you put in this video with is a heap of lies.

  • Thsi video is full on nonsence crap.

  • OK -- this is a very mis-guiding video.. the contents are not at all true.. there are level 3 moderators with no ranked skills.. and it does not help to be friends with a player moderator. Player mods, can pk whenever they wish. Player moderators are chosen by how they act, INGAME - Via accurate reports (quality over quantity) -- and how active they are on the runescape forums ^^ Their behaviour towards the game, and their maturity is also monitered =]

  • All lies. Take this goddamn video off YouTube.

For the truth, see the video in the responses.

  • it deosn't matter what your levels are, i was relativly newbie when i was asked. i've also tried my hand at pking, there's nothing stopping me pk whenever i choose. it's complete rubish that we get to decide/recomend people to become mods, most of my ingame friends would be mods if that was the case.

  • omfg?!@13

    lolololol

    fufck runesacpe

    nice voice faggot

    ima ruin ur life fagg0t!@

    ur a ch33b

    u r like 35 withouth a job and u live with yo momma!@!

  • Actually, you don't have to have high skills at all. There aren't an level, or skills requirements for becoming a mod. Also, pking has nothing to do with being a mod. There are tons of mods who pk ALL the time. I used to be one of those mods. Being friends with mods also has nothing to do with it. You also don't have to report ppl a lot. It's QUALITY, not quantity of reports.

THAT'S NOT TRUE ABOUT A JMOD ADDING YOU!-just so you guys know. This is a horrible vid. There's also no list of mods.

  • he said u have to have some high skills nub

  • i have seen a level 3 mod so your wrong !!

  • There's tons of lvl 3 mods, like hundreds of them. Don't worry about it cuz yeah, this vid is very wrong.

  • I'm a Player Moderator in RuneScape. You do NOTneed high skills to become a Player Moderator. I've seen a level 4 Moderator. I'm only level 91 myself. Also, there is NO definite way to become a Player Moderator. Videos explaining how to become one are FAKE.

  • Rofl, IM a player moderator right now, ive been 1 for 2 years! I NEVER got demoted

  • Yeah, people just figure that but you just need in game experience

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmm i love ruining peoples lives :)

  • I have to disagree with a lot of the information in this video. I don't understand why you would put this kind of video up for everyone to see with all of this false information. Among the many errors in this video, Jagex dosen't select off number of reports (quality not quantity), they do not choose moderators based on skills or gp, and if you pk a lot you don't lessen your chances of becoming one (I should know i have pked a lot).

  • Btw, with this kind of information, I highly doubt you were ever a player moderator, so don't try and act like it.

  • Comment removed

  • Personaly, i like this because I understand more of p-mods then what jagex is saying

  • lol this video be maded 1 day before my birthad :)

  • dude mods can't recomend people you obviously don't know what you are talking about

  • a lot of false information

  • Well how do we really know that the stuff you and jagex say isn't true isn't true? I know the KB says all that stuff, but I know of a couple of sites that have secrets unlocked as you rank up that aren't to be discussed anywhere else. They could just be doing the same thing with mods on the threat of a ban. I choose to doubtfully believe this video anyway.

  • What's the thing that's about a recomndation letter? O_o

  • Comment removed

  • This video sucks! Only a few of these "facts" are true. Jagex doesn't look at your combat level or skills! And I'm also pretty sure that Pmods can't lose their Pmod status.

  • They can, I lost it a couple of times... :P And I quit so I lost it permanantly

  • p mods are gey i reported 1 2 times in row HEs name was bobbe someting

  • Do not believe what he said last. You do not get demoted after 6-9 months. It doesnt matter how long u play. Be kind, report accurately and keep constant.

  • Wow, like half of these facts are NOT true.

  • why do they demote you after 6-9 months?

  • Bullshit you're a p mod.

  • This vid is an epic phail.

For the record, I've seen many a 3 level skiller without that good of stats; one of them even had only level 72 woodcutting ranked when I saw him at the time. Don't be making something like this saying that Pmods only want respect and attention; it actually looks like that's exactly what you are doing.

  • i dont get this:(

    =bad vid

from the other comments I can see your vid aint good. sorry=(

  • DO NOT VISIT RUNSCAPEMOD.C0M!!!!!!!

It is a password stealing site! DO not enter your account name or password their.

  • fail? u dont have to be 50+ cmb lvl i've seen lvl 3's with player moderator. and if u report alot? and Jmod will add u? dude, thats a epic fail...

  • I provided the messages as proof...you need more evidence?

Again...as for the 50+ combat...its either combat or skills...you should have a decent skill level.

  • lol kareon gangsters nice lol

  • Almost everything you say is wrong.. You get demodded within 6-9 months.. That is a lie. You get to keep PMod until you do something that breaks the rules or something. So your wrong..

  • I Herd some were you get paid like 1k gold a month some were im wondering if this is tru

  • I used to be a pmod. Its not true.

  • you used to be? :S what happened?

  • Yeh I quit then they just took the mod status away.

  • sorry to hear that

  • Lol...no they don't pmods.

  • nice vid man....i miss the chineese joke tho...i liked that lol

  • thats fake, you cant be removed from your status from 6-5 you only get if you dont do your job

  • Well...they've changed that policy. You're right.

  • No you can be removed. And yes its only if you don't do your job.

    Lastly, no its not fake.

  • LOL

    ]

  • okay...

I am a PMod and I can tell you that levels in combat or skills contribute absolutly nothing towards becoming a PMod.

  • ehh, this kid gets alot wrong........idk in this vid, cuz im not a mod,,,but in almost all his vids he always give some wrong info lol

  • lol...

  • Really?...I'm quite certain that I have yet to see a mod who has neither skills, nor money, nor combat....

    Then what counts?

  • @jeeper558 i seen a lvl 3 pmods and i just look at manual and they say nothing of this...

  • @jeeper558 very late comment but, My friend is lvl 46 he's played 3 years and doesn't do much all he does is go on funorb and play a bit of runescape to talk. yet he's a mod.

  • Umm im not a mod yet but i liked the video! good information.. You can do alot of stuff if your a mod

  • no one listen to this bs its all view the vid responses they tell u the truth about pmods.

  • how i can see my black marks?

  • go to the Appeal an offence/ban option on the front page. Log in and you will be able to view your black marks.

  • good video

  • It doesen't matter what level you are i've seen a level3 mod even jagex sais that there is no combat level required.

  • Pretty much all of what was said in the movie is utterly wrong. Skills have *no* determination in when someone's modded, merely the effect of someone who's played the game for a while and know's it well. And P-mods have no say in another account's affairs, so sorry to burst everyone's bubble who's asking, you're the only one who can contact on behalf of your account. And you can see a de-modding letter at the end, so obviously this is biased against mods and twists whatever is said.

  • jagex dont make u a mod by ur skills they said it/ nice vid btw

  • That's not true, jagex just says that to look good.

  • im friends with a mod, iv sent over 150 accurate reports in the last month,i help a lot of ppl out,and im nice to ppl but i have one black mark that was a miss understanding.

wat r the chances of me being a mod soon?

  • never. once you have 1 blackmark you can never become a mod

  • wrong cause 2 of my mod friends have had black marks and they became mods

  • wrong u can have blackmarks jagex even said.

  • i want to become a mod but i got reported. And i wasent on a swear! If someones a mod can you tell jagex. I really want to be a Modarator. =) If you tell them you are the best. It ok if you dont it ok. =) My username is themadgab.

  • i want to become a mod but i got reported. And i wasent on a swear! If someones a mod can you tell jagex. I really want to be a Modarator. =) If you tell them you are the best. It ok if you dont it ok. =) My username is themadgab.

  • lol noob, you just don't have to report people and you will be a mod, you have to be nice and respectful to others and not talk about shit about Koreans

  • most of all are all lies.

    look vi.d response

  • ye u dont know how to become a mod lol u can be just lvl 3 that just walks around and reports ppl dur!!

  • dude ill add u wats ur rs acc?

  • u dont know how to become a mod

  • rofl, korean gangsters!

  • It's people like you that get false rumours started that mods have to deal with on a daily basis. If you WERE a mod, for one, you wouldn't be posting something like this, and for another, you'd have your facts straight (which this vid proves you obviously don't).

  • you wasn't a player moderator, somme of your terms aren't even true! they look on your behavior on runescape and not at howhigh your skills are, at least 40 reports? ofcourse you need to report a lot before you have earn that status but only 40 reports? they also look at the quality of the reports so don't be sure of that amound ;), etc.

  • Thanks you!

  • lol noob

  • So you want to be a pmod right, well i didnt enjoy this video :), 1 star! :D

  • is this john haniey

    -_^

  • i couldn't even finish watching tihs because i know its false.

  • are you on crack or was your sister talking ?

  • You do NOT need high combat skills to become a pmod, there are over 10 pmods which are lvl 3 skillers...so you're wrong.

  • is it possible for me becoming a mod becuse i have 0.1 black mark i got 0.1 blakc mark becuse i got hacked and the person was swearing on my account?

  • uuuuuuuummmmmmm...pretty much completely wrong...and what are jmods???anyone???

  • Jagex mods.. rofl

  • Where the heck did he get this information from? 9/10 of it is completely wrong.

  • I am a player moderator. You don't need high skills ( I know a level 3 moderator) the only reason most moderators have higher levels is they have been around a long time. You can player kill (well, you could, not anymore), you can play the game like everyone else. It isnt' about reporting large numbers, it is reporting with quality.

BEFRIENDING a moderator just in hopes to become one is horrible, it is only using the person and lying about the friendship.

  • you dont get demoted from mod you dnt need high levels do no listen to him the only reason you got demodded is beacuse you were a bad one

  • you don't need a high lvl, everyone can be it..

  • mods dont get demoded after 6-9months

  • Jeeper,

Much of your information is wrong =.= you either aren't a Mod, didn't read our guidelines, or haven't been a Mod in a very long time. It's a nice video, but some of your comments e.g. "Be level 50+" are wrong. You can be any level, as long as you show dedication and interest, and a good amount of experience in the game.

  • Bug Abuse Reports are never read: WRONG

If you type more than 10 lines a minute you can be muted: WRONG, that is only the case if the person in question is "spamming"

  • plz im rey661444

  • jeeper i have been trying for like ever being a mod. ALso i heard that you need to have a secure account is that also true. because i dont like using a bank pin because i think it takes up alot more time than is needed because my runescape password isreally hard to guess. Do i need a bank pin

  • mod got u on check lol

  • lies you only get demoted if you do something reportable iv been a mod for 2 years now and befriending a mod for a mod status is wrong :0 and its way more than 40 reports took me over 400+ thanks

    edit: nope not adding anybody

  • I can't make out what it says in the P-Mod recommendation letter.

It is asking you if you want to be a P-Mod, right? Could you copy-paste it here?

  • wow thx i subscribed to u now i know more about mods :P anyways 1 question anyway i can get perm muted if iv been perm muted for more then 3 months or so?

  • i got muted but ppl say i stay muted for life is that true?

  • depends, its generally 48 hours + a 3 day ban.

  • Mods can only mute for 48hrs....I am one

  • moooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • Hi jeeper558.

There are a few things I am sceptical about.

If macro reports are not read by Jagex staff, and are determined by an 'anti-macro event', wouldn't it (or shouldn't it) be able to log the bot out and ban it?

Assuming it does, is it suppose to take weeks?

Also, 40 reports doesn't sound like a lot. I report frequently on my account, probably 500+ reports. Mostly rules 1 and 7. I report a lot of bots while I WC at willows. Am I over-doing my reporting?

  • The banning is still done by jmods. All it does is flag the accounts.

I am a rather old player(and I barely log on since the last update) but several years ago, 40 reports would be sufficient. Now maybe 100+ might do.

  • Hi dude, Nice Video, could you recommend me please, I'm Franksie B and could you add me.

    Cheers.

  • ive seen lvl 3 mods and can u become a mod with 0.5 blackmarks

  • lvl 3's can be mods, but there are very few of them, less than 1% of mods are less than lvl 10.

  • hi,mine main been perm muted 1year now,i asked jagex if they can remove my mute+blackmarks they told me they dont do that, thats big lie,i got other frends which where perm muted-no chance of last apeal, and they got unmuted+removed all blackmarks,is there any way for unmute?

  • did u ask jagex or did u ask a mod

  • I befriended a mod and got "suggested".

  • oh, actually i was commenting on what zeljkoberic0 said. some ppl seem to think that ppl with silver crowns are jmods or work for jagex.

  • Another minor error, sort of. You forgot to mention that to be a player moderator, your account needs to be secured. That means you have to have a secure password and recovery questions, not sure about PIN. Jagex doesn't want any hacked pmods to go around muting people and decreasing mod reputation.

  • This is CRAP CRAP CRAP. I am a player mod

    1. Why are you revealing quite a bit of the confidential info that we get? Did you even read the letter they send you about WHAT NOT TO DO?????????????

    2. You do not get demodded after 6 months. I have been a mod for well over a YEAR.

    3. You can only mute people typing over 11 lines per minute if it's usless chat. Merchanters shouldn't be muted for this.

  • 4. The reason many mods don't talk back is because there are just too many people trying to pm us. We can't answer everybody.

    5. You don't need ANY LEVELS to be modded. You just need to have played the game long enough to be somewhat experienced with how it works.

IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME, I'M MAKING A VIDEO PROVING I'M A MOD AND THAT I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING

  • @twenty204 for supporting me=D I have stated numerous times that I had made several minor errors in the vid, but overall its rather accurate. Thanks for your support.

  • It is true that they get the power to mute other players in certain situations, but the use of this power is strictly monitored and any abuse of it will result in them losing their position as a Player Moderator.

    i forgott to add this

Unfortunately we are very busy at the moment and so for us to come and talk to every player who reports a lot would be impossible.

  • Yes it is very true that we as mods are generally busy with our own rs activies. For this reason, a large number of mods generally avoid talking.

  • sorrey that I had to post so many but i can only add 500 characters.

Anyways taht is what A j mod told me.

you have to read from the last post to the first post... sorrey

  • We will never remove a Player Moderator's status because they have been one for a while. We will only remove this status if the player is abusing their power.

    Hope this answers your query.

Please always refer to the RuneScape Knowledge Base to find the answer to your queries quicker.

You can also find help on all free player and all new member quests through the QuestHelp system.

    Yours Sincerely

    Mod

  • We read every bug report which is sent to us. Obviously we don't want bugs in our game as it only spoils our players' enjoyment.

Our macro detection system monitors activity on our servers and detects suspicious behaviour. This evidence is reviewed by our team of experts who either confirm or reject the system's analysis. Jagex will not reveal the exact mechanics of how this system works because this would make circumvention of the detection system easier.

  • If you ever see anyone attempting to impersonate a Jagex Staff member then we would ask you to hit the 'Report Abuse' button and choose 'Staff Impersonation' as the offence. This way we can ban them from the game.

We receive a very large amount of abuse reports. For us to keep a daily tally of good and bad reports would simply be a waste of time. Please rest assured that if a player repeatedly sends in false abuse reports we will take the appropriate action against them.

  • Remember that there are three ways to recognise Jagex Staff or 'J-Mods':

    1) Jagex Staff characters always have gold crowns next to their name.

    2) Jagex Staff will never ask for a password or any of your details.

    3) Jagex Staff will never contact you about your account in game.

We have no 'undercover' staff, we have no need for your password to check your account and we only communicate with players about account issues via their inbox.

  • Thank you for your message.

Please rest assured that every statement in your message is not true.

Player Moderators get no reward other than the satisfaction of a job well done. They do not get free membership, items, skills or any other bonus for their character in any way what so ever

  • lol wannabe korean gasta 5/5 =D

  • nice guide :-) my skiller wants to be a pmod so im gonna follow it..hehe

  • 0:33 what did you say? can you write it down?

  • Hi, ive been trying to become a player mod...

But, ive reported over 50 macro reports, and over 20 other types of reports. And they havent done anything... Do you know why that is? post here or pm rm0innocence

  • @99rainger99

I'm not sure whether I stated this or not, but macro reports are NOT read by jmods. Instead, an automated program simply responds to them by randomly sending a random event aka "anti-macro event".

  • What exactly is so confedential in the moditor centre?

every time I ask a mod they say that and it gets me mad.

can you make a vid of the centre?

  • @twenty204

There are a number of "sensitive things in the moderator centre"

    1) a list of ALL the pmods

    2)direct contact with a jmod

    3)access to the pmod forums

4)A list of your last 100 reports and the punishment the player recieved

  • Comment removed

  • yes! i love the vid man, i subrcibed! Korean wannabe gangstas 4eva, jk, lol :]
