We must believe God wrote it all because He said it is all from him, that every word in it is from him. It's wrong for Christians to hate homosexuals, but the bible says it is a sin. it's not greater or less than any other sin, but sin nonetheless. We should not worship the Bible but it is the direct word of God to us and should be held up to the standard that it is worthy of.

I was a worship leader in the East Coast Jesus Movement of the 1970's.. It was a hard mix between what old Pentecostal's believed and here were us young teens who Loved God ..I backslid after a few years and headed to Ca, and fell heavy into the Gay Lifestyle..Then after I buried my friend from AIDS.. His service was at Calvary Chapel..I got HIV And after near death exper..I came back strong to the Lord and here I am..I guess God's got a plan B ; )

It's ironic to try and make Lonnie a poster child for gay Christianity when he himself acknowledged it was sin, and it ended up killing him. The wonderful message of Lonnie's life is there is no sin that God doesn't understand, that Jesus hasn't paid for, and that disqualifies us from being used by God. Lonnie himself drew a distinction between his actions and identity. He didn't consider himself to "be" a homosexual, but knew he struggled with the sin of homosexual behavior.

I know this about Lonnie because I stayed at John Ruttkay's house with him and his brother for a month in Poway, CA in the spring of 1990.
