  • Hey i have a problem with my winch like when i press it in or out you just hear the thing whine but wont do anything like not the winch wine but the acuator and it sounds like the winch wants to turn but wont? i have a promark xtr 3000 lb winch.

  • @kx85kid12 yeah i havent used mine much, or had any problems with it

  • did it come with the mounting plate?

  • @kx85kid12 yes it was a complete kit came with everything in the box from some earlier videos, and the plate and all of the hardware, i ordered it off ebay from promarker i think, anyway when you look on there you will see a company thats selling a lot of these for different applications they are model specific so you can find one for your atv

  • @fastgmc yeah i was looking at the promarks for my 08 brute force 750 they want like $115 on ebay its a good deal but im not sure if it has the mounting plate

  • @kx85kid12 yeah, just shoot them a email if your not sure what comes with it they will get back to you, but also read the listing really well it might say what all is included with it, if it doesnt say mounting plate i would say its not included

  • What kind of mounting hardware did you need, and where did you find it?

  • @cjleger337 It all comes in a kit by promark, check out ebay they are listed by model, so if you have a rancher just type in rancher winch...foreman...type in foreman winch ect.

  • it has today i tied up to a tree and pulled it up all the way like three times its pretty strong all i need now is the roller thing that hold the hook from going all the way in

  • i put on a 2000 pound chicago winch that i got for 20 bucks

  • @van050494 dang thats pretty much free, maybe it will last you a while

  • yeah today i put a winch on my wolverine it took like all day and i also ordered some wheels that look like yours ill probally put a video of it in the next week

  • @van050494 awesome, yeah i have seen some killer videos of wolverines on here those things are bad a nice mix between sport and utility

  • @van050494 what kinda winch did you go with??

  • thats cool how many projects do you have and i think im gonna order some of those rims for my yamaha wolverine.

  • @van050494 well i just got finished with the rancher...well i have a shift fork bent or something thats making the shifting off a bit so im having it torn back down, and the foreman....i think they are some cool wheels i like this stye over the more elaborate designs but that just me....

  • whats the name of the rims u have on

  • @van050494 those are itp type 7 wheels, 14" i just ordered another set of them yesterday as a matter of fact for project foreman. its going to have 28in zillas on them

  • Nice video. I was curious about the wiring. I am putting a 3000lb winch on my Rancher and I am stuck here. We have everything wired up except the small wire that is to be spliced into the wire that supplies power when the key is turned on. There's 4 wires connected to my ignition. Red, Red/Black, Black and Pink. Would you happen to know which one of these provides the power once the key it in the on position?

  • @2010HondaFourTrax ok, i guess i didnt show that in my video, all you have to do is get any point on the wiring that is not hot or on all of the time...that only is on when the key is on...so i used my 12v outlet on my front fender and spliced into it, it was the white wire ,,, i used a side by side squeeze connector, ill show you one if your not sure what that is in my speaker wiring video tonight.

  • @fastgmc I was up till 3am with that winch. I think I used the same wire that you're mentioning. It's in the right front fender and it has a plug end that would be used for something like fog lights or something. Thanks again.

  • @2010HondaFourTrax yeah its the cigarette lighter plug...thats where i spliced into the hot switch wire they refer to...just means that it comes on only when your key is on...splice into the white wire and you will be good

  • @fastgmc Thanks for the tip. I just posted a video of the winch that was installed in my ATV. Check it out.

    Love your tires.

  • you thinking about any other aftermarket things for it like lights or something

  • @atcklx like strobes or off road lights?

  • @fastgmc yeah like off road lights

  • @atcklx i havent given it much thought to be honest with you....i dont do a whole lot of night riding really...

  • @atcklx im going to make a stereo for it

  • cool vid ,you should put snorkel on it since there's that hole there =)

  • @PhillieBRidin yeah.. i may get some new plastic...not sure yet

  • nice buddy
