well some ppl like the car as a daily driver and dont need the mpg to be low. others use 350s from chevy and build them better than a 454.

you could ask the question why do ppl with a 460 ford like the 302 better and you'll get the answer that 302s have more parts available to mod

@brobinson75 beacause when you are living in a country like france, where the oil price is very high, you think twice before riding a big V8 block, plus it's harder to get an insurance for the car.
