  • This song is one of my first real memories. My Mom and I used to dance to them when I was like 2-3 and I still love this music. Gonna go see them in Cali in April. Can't wait!!!

  • Thank you Jason. I'm sharing this to everyone.

  • 6:31 me too

  • 14 people are Bieber fans

  • @shawnmeboy don't mention that name here

  • This was the song dumbshits: 2002. Not one of you morons came and saw me. Just sat back and jerked off while I rotted.

  • this band has the vocals that Grateful dead lacked, but Grateful dead had the musicianship that Crosby et al lacked

  • The end of the video states Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. That is incorrect. Young had not joined the group yet. He was not on this song.

  • rachel54209 It was written about Judy Collins! You are correct!

  • awesome song!

  • @ihatealigators no one in fleet foxes is an ex holly, eat a dick

  • I love this song!!!!!!!!

  • My favorite song of all. If I'm stranded on a desert album, I hope i have this record (and something to play it on.) It doesn't get old. and those harmonies, damn. No flashy lights, no dancers, no video. This is great music. Thanks CSN. And Y, of course.

  • @ihatealigators you really are a waste of human life

  • Radio station WMCA in NYC played this song every night at around 2AM in 69 and 70.

  • I never understood the part from 6:33 on, although I thought it sounded vaguely Spanish. Now I'm glad I actually know what they're singing.l

  • @EuphrasieF that's funny, i thought they were speaking english, but slurred and incomprehensible english... lol

  • Now three more are "CLUELESS!" Oh well!

  • Yes it is about Judy Collins, have you seen her fucking eyes?? I was 19 in 1969 when this came out. Other than David playing acoustic guitar, everything else was played by Stephen. This is a very very under rated masterpiece. It was the beginning of the greatest harmony of voices, guitars, etc, etc ever. Listen to "Carry On" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Skip to 6:33 for the best part.

  • @swassady my personal favorite part as well, but if ya wana catch the whole best part ya gotta go with 0:00.

  • such an epic song

  • Thank you uploader! Love these guys!!

  • If I'm correct this song was written about Judy Collins.

  • @rachel54209 yes you are it was written by steven stills about his gril friend at the time

  • @rachel54209 Don't tell my woman that.

  • @rachel54209 it is

  • @rachel54209 I've heard the same, that sweet (suite) Judy blue eyes was Judy Collins, the ruby throated sparrow and voice of the angles. Great song.

  • option 1

  • This was the #1 song on the day I was born.

    12/1/97

  • one of their best

  • Dis song is wickedy wack yo

  • @MovieRanker That's why you don't even know how to speak english, how are you supposed to understand the words?

  • the ending is one of the most recognized pieces in music history. i love the bass line as they they do ododododododooooo

  • I've heard worse sounding vids on here so no worries. Love the song, so I'll listen through it anyway :)

  • I've Loved this Song from the first time My Brother played this Great Tune. Very Talented Group of Musicians. Thanks for Posting and Have a Great Day~~

  • rick santorum is having butt sex with my uncle right now :(

  • Stephen Stills sings the coda by dragging out the first part of a line, then rapidly running the last part of a line together. (where the dash marks are denotes where he breaks the words)

    ¡Que linnnnnn---da Me recuerdo a Cuba

La reiiiiiiii---na de la Mar Caribe

    Quiero sóooooo---lo visitarla allí

Y que triiiiii---ste que no puedo vaya!

    O Va! O Va!

  • I think you did an outstanding job on this and it's exactly what I was looking for! Thank you very much for posting. :)

  • my uncle and i used to listen to these guys fishing...now i listen to them smoking with friends. tell me thats not he chillest transition of all time

  • 13 tone deaf Bieber fans.

  • How does it get better than this?

  • Thanks for the song and lyrics . Noooo problem

  • tambien es mi parte faborita

  • I was about to kill a radio host for not telling me the name of this song. but i finally climbed my everest and found this song. "dododododo do do dodododo"

  • scratch that lol I didn't really laugh. I'm just happy lol (now i really laughed)

  • I'd give it all up just to grow up when these guys were together. The 70s? What a blast, and hardly a care in the world. The world today is pretty fucked lol

  • "Here comes my favorite part!" ok, where do they sing that?! :P

  • I know this girl named Judy, wish she knew this song because it feels like it was writing about her

  • @ben1991bryan introduce her to it

  • Que liiiiiinnnda me recuerdo a cuba

La reiiiiinnnna de la mar caribe

    Quiero solooo visitarla alli

Y que triiiste que no puedo, vaya!

    Oh va, oh va!

  • Hell! They could sing the alphabet and sound amazing.

  • The BEST CSN song EVER!!!!

  • Reminds me of Summer...

  • Yeah so Cypress Hill and Armada Latina sampled this song? Of course they did, no talent hacks have to copy talented people.

  • well it is a degraded copy ....and it dosent have the crisp sounds that these guys spent years cultivating.....and personally...i say it dosent do them justice...oh but hey,as long as you understand that.

  • Actually it was david Crosby and Judy collins, she left david for Stephen, and then went to James Taylor that Bitch was a slut back then she screwed everyone!Bob Dylan tapped that ass also.So did Mick Jagger!

  • @PathfinderMac Wow, that was the most disgusting comment I've ever seen on a good, old music video. Usually it's on the pop/rap/whatever stuff.

    <3.

  • Judy Blue Eyes was Judy Collins and, yes, she did love Stephen back. She just wrote an autobiography called "Sweet Judy Blue Eyes" and writes about their long love affair. Sadly it didn't last. But he certainly put a lasting stamp on their love.

  • this kind of reminds me of yesteryear......enjoy..profound words

  • At 6:20 , Armada latina by Cypress Hill anybody? I know this song was out WAAAAAAYYYYYY before Cypress Hill's song, but if it weren't for Armada Latina, I would've had no interest in the song... xD Vereh good song! :3

  • im 21 and i love these guys most people my age wouldnt like this they are great

  • @gtxcastrol1 I'm 19, and I completely agree! Its a shame because their voices together are one of the best melodic sound my ears have come across

  • @gtxcastrol1 I'm 15 and I think they're incredible. Most kids my age, sadly, don't appreciate this stuff.

  • @Honeydew7396 I am proud of you this music kept me feeling good through out my teens just follow it and get into Joni

    how did u find it

  • thumbs up if his favorite part is yours :)

  • 11 people like justin bieber

  • I love my Sweet Judy Blue Eyes, and she doesn't love me. Just wants to be "friends" now. Gimme a break! FML

  • Stephen loved Judy and it showed. Not just a song but a whole suite. Came straight from the heart.

  • Still pretty sweat :-)

  • Any chance since its been quite some time you could re upload this with a louder source volume?

  • Sweet....

  • The lyrics to this suite while compelling don't make any sense to me at all. Don't really know what they are saying. If someone hadn't told me what this song was about or if the title didn't tell me I'd have no idea what this song was about. Its still one of my all time favorites

  • @sonwamac Probs because some of them are in espanol :))

  • @thecameronexplosion ...nah man. the Spanish lyrics are the ONLY part of it that make sense. But i know that the song was written by Steve Stills (I think it was Stills) about Judy Collins. So when you're in Love with a woman and then you lose her maybe you're a little obtuse with your lyrical statement. We get it though Steve. This woman's got you goin' through changes...Like they will oft-times do

  • @sonwamac Funny, I understood it all... so beautiful!,

    <3!

  • Cypress Hill - Armada Latina !!!!!!!!!!!

  • I believe the final versicle is "lacy lilting lady losing love, lamenting"

  • CLG4 WE LOVE THE ROCK...FREEEEEDOM

  • Ay Caribe tierra de mi gente hermosa

Cielo y Sol, me acompañan donde quiera

    Hermanito la lucha recien empieza

Yo naciiiiiiiiiiiiiii con sangre taina, yo naci! ugh! dont get me started!!!....lol!

  • Hearing this always makes me smile. Such an amazing song!

  • chestnut brown canary, ruby throated sparrow? ive never heard birds be used better than that in a song.

  • Love it all. I never knew the last part was in spanish. Now I know why I never could make out the words. Thanks!

  • 10 people are idiots

  • @EclipseBandWa 11!!

  • Excellent. Sure wish it cost what I used to have to pay to see them again, but we can't go back....just good memories! Thanks for doing this. Could have done without the banners in the last part though. Peace out.....

  • Excellent. Sure wish it cost what I used to have to pay to see them again, but we can't go back....just good memories! Thanks for doing this.

  • Most excellent dude

  • I am yours You are mine You are what you are

  • These guys could sing a grocery list and still sound amazing.

  • @kjhgfdsxcv hahahha, amazing

  • @kjhgfdsxcv Agreed ♥♥

  • @kjhgfdsxcv WOW i have never heard a compliment like that. They are the brownie that doesn't need to be chewed!

  • @MrCoreycyr Correct.

  • I'm not much of a fan of 70's music but I really enjoy Crosby, Stills & Nash, great tune! I also really like Southern Cross. :)

  • STILL ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AFTER ALL THESE YEARS! I still stop in my tracks and just listen to the beauty of the music, voices and lyrics whenever I hear it. Bravo!!!!

  • Awesome, thanks for posting this.

  • About freakin time I found the song with the ending I was looking for. Had to listen to some crazy stuff to find this one.

  • I think the last verse is wrong. It makes more sense and sound more similar for me this version (from wikipedia):

¡Que linda! Me recuerdo a Cuba

La reina de la Mar Caribe

    Quiero sólo visitarla allí

Y que triste que no puedo. ¡Vaya!

  • Still one of the greatest songs ever!

  • NON PLUS ULTRA.

EXCELLENT. THANKS FOR THE VIDEO. MADE ME SO VERY HAPPY.

  • you didnt put lyrics for the doo doo doo doo doos?

  • @AIRmaxGMAILG2 Some people are just plain damn lazy...SLACKER!

  • Comment removed

  • i pay my secretary 5 dollars pr hr to correct my spelling

  • All you had to do was turn up the source volume

  • hey dont woory about the sound. Its good enough to get the song accros. I'm thrilled you added the lyrics. I have to learn the song for the band I,m in. Thanks

    Walter

  • @germany12334 Walter, I hope you play better than you spell

  • Your Correct ! They were singing about Judy Collins

  • I think they were singing about Judy Collins....

  • @mrdramirez09 She's coming out with a book called "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes — 50 Years of Sex, Drugs, Folk Rock, Men and Mystery".

  • This song is one of my favs and it has so much meaning to me cause of the times with my bros and dad( rest in peace dad )

  • god damn, this song is amazing.I love the harmonized singing, cant get enough!

  • Comment removed

  • Perfection in lyrics, melody and execution.

Come on, name ONE 21st century band that can hold a candle to CSN&Y, on ANY level.

  • This song embodies the 60s.

  • @lram100

Actually, the "4 Way Street" album was a prerequisite to good times in 1972-1973.

  • One of my fav songs ever

  • I just added this song to a list in my videos called masterpieces. Then I subscrbed to the channel. I want as much of this kind of thing in my life as possible.

  • What I love about music like this is that the instrumentation and vocals are so layered that by listening to it in so many different ways(headphones, crappy radio speakers, 2.1 computer speakers streaming) you gets something different from it each time you listen.

Like my headphones are great for isolating myself and really listening, but it's hard to get the the full impact of the bass and organ without a sub-woofer.

  • Ten people like Justa Beaver.

  • Phenomenal piece of music. Has it all - melody and wonderful harmonies. Nobody is making music as good as this anymore.

  • @mispudjes check out Gucci Mane, he's doing soulfull music like this, I find it pretty intellectual.

  • So called " Pop music " was pretty sophisticated back then !

  • LOVE this song, but neil young was not on this album. it was just CSN at the time... on the album cover though, there was a shadowy figure that was probably neil young. but he isnt on this song, his voice is to distinctive to hide amoungst the others.

  • @Catatonicus

The shadowy figure was Dallas Taylor, the drummer on the first CSN album and also Deja Vu.

  • Press 7 - best part of the song

In other words it is the best part of the best song :)

  • When I bought the album was the 1st time I heard this song memorized the whole thing in a couple days ,like to drove my mother crazy, lol

  • I take 1 and enjoy it.. That's how good it is.

  • WTF happened to amazing music ?

  • @REDX3211 Retards not taking the time to find it in favor of posting stupid shit like: WTF happened to amazing music ?

  • @Standard420247 The electronic gadgets that help bad singers make a passable recording...that's what happened. And what the heck is up with the popularity of Rap?!!!

  • the end part really reminds me on cypress hill amada latina :O

  • So many good memories...

  • Thanks you for this album cut of this wonderful song with all the words!!! I think you did a great job with it!

  • WHEN MUSIC WAS REAL

  • @salespat Agree. And I'm 19! But I listen to CSNY, steeleye span and david bowie aha.

  • @salespat

Amen to that.Listen:Are those REAL instruments?Yep.And that harmonized singing? That is called TALENT my friends.

  • @salespat Agreed, when people could actually sing and play instruments. Beautiful music makes me wanna cry, so much emotion, musicians nowadays could learn a thing of two from this.

  • This song says it all!

  • Hey, IamJasonSimon, love you for this... Awesome... ;-) Thank you...

  • Young was not a songwriter on this song.

  • Young was not a songwriter on this song.

  • This will always be one of favorite songs. Everything I love about music is right here. Anyway, this song saved me again today.

After all my thinking and reasoning, I've finally got an answer....

  • @yoyoyo119 what was it ive been doing the same

  • @MrFunkytaste CUBA. jk

  • 6:33 :D

  • 8 people must have nothing to lose.

  • do do do do do di do di do do do

  • the last few seconds of the song are some of the greatest seconds in music history

  • @janeshe2 Cypress hill sampled those last few seconds in armada latina. It's pretty cool

  • When i was only 4 years old I went a music and arts festival in Woodstock NY, I don't really remember a lot of it but I DO remember CSN, and the songs that they sang, I also remember Jimmi Hendrix too!!!!! Oh, I guess I am telling my age.

  • G/Day from Oz For those of you that don't know, Graham Nash was originally in the Hollies. Cheers Stuart.

  • I wholeheartedly agree. This is the BEST. Only thing though, Neil Young , great as he is, was not part of this CSN song.

  • to my love hannah this is for u. i love u so much.

  • @dukenukem25 why would you write that on youtube

  • Comment removed

  • My favorite part is the end. "Do do do do do do do do do do do do" haha

  • What a great song! Excellent lyrics, music, ONLY in America!

  • @MrsWidlak When people look back the spotlight always seems to be on the British invasion. But I always thought that the Americans were the ones who knew how to do it. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Stones and Zeppelin, but CCR, Hendrix, Dylan... that's the best.. in my opinion at least lol

  • @Waycooljr294 ....and You my friend are absolutely right. I often wondered if people actually reply to Any of these comments (thank you for confirming my belief) and I most definately DO agree with your knowledge as it pertains to music. The latter part of the musicians that you have mentioned ROCK As for The Beatles, I had never really "gotten into them". Just a few tunes I suppose. See ya', stay cool and keep rockin' my friend !!! :) :)

  • 8 people have their monitors upside-down.

  • It's Everyone's Favorite Part!

  • That spanish bit with the "doo-doo's" behind, sounds just amazing! I always sing along on that part :)

  • One of my top ten car cruisin' songs!

  • 7 people have gas powered dildoes stuck in their ears

  • Don't let the past remind us of what we are not now.

We should all live by that.

  • You know that song was a great song and I loved listening to it in the day. But it made absolutly no sense whatsoever!
