Update: vu10 (cryengine2 version of Entropia/Planet Calypso) will be available on bit torrent from friday 14th aug 2009 and will go live some time during the following week. Entropia as it is current shuts down on monday 17th
Since vu10 still not happened yet we don't know exactly what this means for the existing Calypso but so far since the formation of FPC we have seen a lot more of an on going 'plot' and events so its a good sign at least. Marco has promised a much more story based and gameplay focused planet in the future. Fingers crossed...
Sorta yes and no. The 'Project Entropia' aspect of colonisation ended some time back marking the re-branding to 'Entropia Universe'. Shortly after MindArk spun off a subsidary 'First Planet Company' (FPC)headed by Marco Behrman the old community liason director. FPC now manage and run 'Planet Calypso' a world within the Entropia Universe (run by MindArk). With the coming of vu10 (use of CryEngine2) other planets will arrive in the Universe after, run by other non connected separate companies.

so it will be new mmo or some upgrade to project entropia/entropia universe ?
or new game and old entropia will be ended or what :)
