Thanks for the pressed vs loose eyeshadow swatches! That helped me decide to press all my loose eyeshadows. :D I love the pressed versions a loooot better.
@y3rlo i emailed raving beauty and asked if it works on matte eyeshadows and on MAC eyeshadows and she said that it works on virtually any eyeshadow so im assuming that means mineral eyeshadows aswell lol
When you say the texture turns almost to like a cream shadow does this also imply that it will crease easier on your eye? Reason I ask is I really like how the colors look pressed and have 100+ loose colors I'm thinking of pressing but not too sure if I want to if they are more liable to crease.
@baybee4eva it just depends on your preference. Some people prefer using pressed shadows over loose. also, the texture and pigmentation can change. i like having both options =)
Nice job! i was wondering what the difference was in pigmentation .. wow! MAJOR! I was thinking.. " man all this work for what" ..but there really is a difference.
wow you are soo helpful!! i never knew you can DIY self press loose shadows!! too bad i dont have enough loose shadows otherwise i would love to try this!! :) i love your videos.
using plain old rubbing alcohol instead of mixing medium is the same exact thing, and much cheaper. the higher the alcohol content the faster it dries
@sweetkeet126 i mentioned in the video that sometimes that method doesn't work for mineral shadows, sometimes they need more of a binding agent. I've pressed MAC pigments with just alcohol and its fine, but I've tried it with mineral eyeshadows and it doesn't hold together for long.
Would this work if you had a loose face powder and wanted to press it in a compact?

@LunaStarFire i still use UDDP under it and its fine, you might see a little more creasing, but i haven't had any problems. good question though!
