  • There is no train there!!!

  • this video made me subscribe :D

  • And Anyways Mate You Might've Got Shocked If You Wernt Careful Because The Big Rail On The Left Is The Power Rail And That Has High Voltage Inside It

  • Very interesting video!

  • it would of chopped the wings off lol

  • Wow! Could have been serious with landing on the third rail like that.

  • Nice driver!

  • LOL FUNNY

  • haha awesome the driver actually stopped the train did he?

  • Fantastic!

  • how do u know its the driver

  • like english trains alot but not as much as American stock americans got more powerful faster trains

  • Thats awesome!!

I wish I owned something like that to go train chasing with!! It would give a new experiance with watching a train from above!

  • Crikey! It landed on the 3rd rail! You can see the driver shoving it off the rail with a stick. Cool video though, running right along side the train. How fast u reckon the train was going?

  • I don't think you should have flown it near the railway line in the first place. Its asking for it.

  • I don't intend to again!

  • heh, lucky it wasn't metallic, landed across the 750v 3rd rail and ground. Prolly woulda vaporised.

  • lucky that it didn't hit the electric 3rd rail

  • lol @ 2:45

  • I don't think the person salvaging the plane off the train rails knew there was a camera in it. I was worried the next scene would be the person relieving himself on the tracks.

  • lmao

  • great concept and video, but a bit long. you can advance to 2:30 minutes and still get the gist of it

  • Great Video. Its that also a 3rd rail? That must ahve given the plane a shock :)

    5*

  • It made me sick through the movement and the NOISE but I loved this, especially the train bit.

    Is it North Wales?

  • r u sure a train driver rescued this :O

more like you got it:P and dont wanna be done for trespassing:O?

    anyway its a great vid:D

  • With a whole housing estate and station facing the railway line I think I would have been done for trespassing within a few minutes if I had collected it myself... No, I spoke to the driver on his return journey to warn him of the obstacle and he collected it himself!

  • maybe he saw it???????

    what do you think trainlover657?

  • Crazy! I love it! Lol

  • Talk about lucky!! What a kind driver..and awesome vid, btw. Of all the places for it to land when the battery died, though....right on the track!

  • Right next to the third rail too!

  • incredible!

  • nice video

  • oh dear

very funny what else do i say

  • Fantastic vid.

Many thanks for posting it, Cheers !!

  • Great video! =]

  • right on live rail as well!

  • how much would you get one of those r/c planes for?

  • Its called a V.T.T.P (V-Tailed Twin-Pusher as it has twin pushing-propellers), I think you can build it from a kit. I've modified mine quite a bit. Ages ago now, but think it cost around £40, plus radio gear etc. I strongly recommend getting insurance with the BMFA too :-)

  • awsome!!!

  • What type of camera are you using to record that? Some nice footage!

  • I recorded this using a Vivitar DVR-200.

  • It was resting on the live rail- lucky it didn't go up in smoke! Thats why the driver had to stop to avoid damage to the collector shoe and use some sort of stick to pick it up.

  • Ha ha! It almost hit you guys! The other thing was I don't think its battery died. Your receiver (plane) went too far.

  • I still haven't traced the fault actually - its definitely a low-voltage battery protection issue.

The speed controller cuts the motors when the voltage drops to a certain level so that there is still power for the servos. I still had control, as I attempted to guide the model towards us before it crash-landed.

I'm beginning to question the speed controller having replaced both the battery and battery charger!

  • I see. I just never saw an radio controlled do that. 0_o

  • how did the driver know it was there?

  • thats really cool

  • That was really cool, well done!

  • Kind of lucky! Could have spelt the end to the plane and camera!

  • My goodness. What timing? Did the train have to stop for your little plane?

  • He didn't have to stop at all! After the crash-landing I went straight to the station and talked to the driver as he pulled in to the station, to warn him of the obstruction on the line. He decided to go and retrieve it! :-D

  • How far were you from the station?

  • I was flying the model in the field pretty much next to the station, so I was only a 10 minute walk away.
