  • Ha man ur bowling is good

  • bro ,,have a proper run up and jump high a bit and as u bowl left so ur right arm shud go upwards before u deliver the ball,,,,and work on ur action if u wanna play proper cricket this is not how u are going to bowl,,,,inshort,,,,,u need to change many things in ur bowling,,,coz ryt now u r struggling only,,,,,but more u practice more u will improve,,,cheers

  • hey ..ok first thing u need to kno is have a run up...basically a startin point for runnin up k....ur bowling action is not bad and ignore those who could only poke fun

  • cross seam (if your line is wayward) and head straight with a slow to fast run up (Y)

  • Nice pace........slow down and work on technique. Smooth run up, high arm, better follow through, better wrist position. Work on bedding in technique at SLOW PACE and keep at it until it becomes natural. Then with your natural pace you will become even quicker. Good luck

  • run in straight and dont arch your back and dont focus on spped

  • dude u have to improve your run up.........come in straight line don`t care about your pace right now first improve your run up and then come to pace

  • For starters use a proper cricket ball

Secondly, make the pitch size bigger

    Also bowl in the nets

  • fk u

  • straight line from start to finish, high jump, smooth motion of legs, side-on back foot, end up in a front-on position, head still, wrist flex at time of release.

it all sounds hard, and just using your arm for pace is tempting. but this gives you rhythm and consistent accuracy. it also increases pace drastically when done right. fast bowling is hard work and dedication.

  • Hey that's Dhoni ...

  • Hi Shabieh2...nice title to the video..openly honestly asking for advice....first of all let me tell you I'm no expert...although i'm considered a fairly decent spinning allrounder who has played at a reasonable level...now let me tell you that you have something that can't be coached and that appears to be a decent pace...from the action I would say try to use your right arm as a 'rudder' to guide you as to where you want the bowl to land and also dictate the line you want..keep the arm high.

  • go for line and lenth not pace

  • I would say nice pace, but try not to have that very awkward run up where you run to the side and then have a massive side step, that way you are losing a lot of momentum and if you have the momentum by running in a straight line you could bowl much faster

  • Advice: stop chucking.

  • @umerayub hes not chucking stop hating

  • Dont go for pace but for accuracy and line ,,pace will come. U NEED A SMOOTHER ACTION

  • Bowl over the wicket as well. I'm a left armer and I can't stand others that just give up bowling it across the right hander.

  • Have a look at fast bowlers run ups .... theirs is run in straight at pace and bowl.... your bowling action is not very fast because of the side step you do before you bowl the ball. this loses all your momentum and your side step is probably why you bowl down leg side ..... have a look at a technique to make you bowl faster called the drop step and front foot block .... brett lee uses it and thats one of the main reasons he can bowl 150kph. you bowl a max spped of about 70kph if ur lucky

  • @jimmy232davies - Agreed! I'm a medium-fast bowler myself, around 130kph. You need a fluent runup to the crease, a smooth shoulder rotation and i smooth follow through. Practice running into a crease, once you feel comfortable with that, try working out a comfortable shoulder rotation and then practice following through the crease and off the side of the pitch. It takes time, but it is worth it.

  • about 95kph

  • try coming in at and angle and also you're a bit flat when you bowl so do like a sort jump in the air just when you bowl...zaheer khan is a good example, other than that its a neat bowling action.

bowling actions are impt but not the main thing! look at malinga his action is crazy but still hes one of the top fat bowlers out there

  • keep ure arm straight and lengthen ure run up also keep ure left arm nice and high, when pulling down to release the ball, apart from that u look great!

  • ill give you some advice in your run up you move side to side when you run up go straight it will give you momentum to bowl faster

  • all i can say is, if you work in straight lines, you'll probably bowl in straight lines. do you swing the ball much? i also think you should 'coil' more because otherwise you're always counteracting your body to propel the ball straight, i.e. your body's moving in so many different directions.

  • its because u dont have a run up...in complete action and no follow throught , u r bowling like a kid not a proper cricketer... with due respect i will link a video for u to watch

  • first try leftarm spin bowling and then slowly improve your runup and become fastbowler.........runup is notgood.......run straightly and steadily and bowls simply.........dont try vigorous bowling action...........just try simple action.........

  • well honestly my advice is that u cant be a fast bowler if u try ur self in bating i am sure u will improve your self and also try spin bowling

  • All you can say is how bad I am why cant you say what can I do to improve

  • @shabieh2 hi your load up is good,,,,the arm bowling arm is at a good stretch,,,make sure u stay tall and fully stretch ur bowling arm behind u,,,and then lash it through,,,,,,its all in the bowling arm stretch and the wrist,,,dont listen to anything else,,,, go in straight lines,,,,and fully strectch ur bowling arm in the BIGGEST ARC,,,and u watch ur bowling,,,,,,

  • @shabieh2 pm me should you still need handy tips.

  • thats probably 75-80 kmph...im sorry but i dont think you can get any faster because if your basics are not good then your not going to go anywhere...you dont have the proper technique

  • you bowl around 68-70 mph max.....with correct technique it may go up but with incorrect technique you will remain there rest of your life....

  • u bowl at 75 km i guess!!

  • Comment removed

  • For everybody that says you should lengthen your run up I say simon jones ran in off 8 paces

  • u bowl about....80 Kph? try bowling 'fast' next time

  • If you work in straight lines in straight lines, it'll help you bowl n straight lines, run up straight basically.

Your follow through is evidence that you are overbalancing and thus your body is autocorrecting by heading down the leg side, this obviously sends the ball down the legside. Also, umpires will hound you for stepping on the pitch if you carry on like that.

  • the advice is quite simple..even i had this problem, just try and change ur action, get professional help, make sure u look at the wickets when ur bowling and get a straighter arm action, it will help u stop bowling wides..

  • you should try a straighter run up and try bowling from both sides of the wicket

  • bowl with a cricket ball, any1 can look fast bowling with a tape ball

  • advice: play tennis

  • nah defo not 50-60 i reckon 75 defo!! u must be silly to think its slower than that i face it all day n u are waiting for ages before you play a shot. Look at ma new vids thts 70-80!

  • Dude sorry to say but I would play you all day long and score a triple century just playing the leg glance, perhaps you should aim at third slip while bowling.

I guess you bowl at 75-80MPH

  • kaffirstani i doubt he would bowl that exact ball all day long, and i guarrente he is better then you he would be and opener bowle in c grade.

  • Yes and you should go back to school and learn to spell properly

  • From my limited knowledge

    Wats gud

You hv a front on action (Flintoff), which suits your large frame, and broad shoulders.

You are looking at the target and your legs are slightly bent just before you enter the bowling action. This allows you to propel your self into the air (the leap) to maintain your momentum.

ur front arm is nice and high and your head is nicely positioned behind your front arm, still looking at the target.

Your front foot is facing the right direction (forward) on release.

  • A lot of umpires would call that action rather 'suspect' mate...thats the only advice I would give..also when you deliver you arent even looking at the target

  • Are you crazy?

i can even bowl faster than you if the length of the pitch is shorter like you

  • u must be fucking kidding me to call that bowling!

  • its not hard to see why you bowl so many wide your run up is short it probably would be hard to think about line or length . you need a pro bowlers action dont make your own. run from 13-17 decent paces with small steps jump up very high and rip into your ribs hard so you get pace. make your arm brush your ear and thats how i am an opening bowler for a championship winning side and i only bowl at 60mph. line and length not speed. get your action right first. your also only about 50-60mph reply

  • As a batsman thats reasonably quick but without accuracy pace is easy to play. If i were you first i would sort your action out, get a clean, consistant action that if you record again and again untill it looks exactly the same 99 times out of 100. Next sort a run up out - keep that as straight as you can head straight the whole way arms and legs not flapping about! if you want to be a quick bowler the run up needs to be 15 - 22 paces long (experiment, its whatever works for you) Good luck!

  • Well on positive side you have a quick arm action but then again technically your all over the place. Pace doesnt really matter but accuracy does. I suggest you work on your technical side first and then work on pace. Its very hard for a fast bowler to ball quick if he cant get any rhythm and it seems to be the case with you.

Your not running is straight in line, your body is falling apart when your about to deliver, your head is all over the place and your follow through is shocking. WIDES!!!

  • and ya you HAVE to bowl from round the wicket. wil help u a lot with the wides.

    apart from that... just practice!

  • honestly speaking it wasnt that fast dude,

plus u cant be bowling for long spells like that.

    and ya

do get rid of them maroon tights :P

  • dont take this the wrong way, but when u run it looks like ur legs are anchors, stopping u from smoothly moving in ur actions, so work on ur foot steps a little, make them in sync with ur hand motion. like when u release the ball, ur feet should be on ur toes for alteast 2.5 seconds.

  • Try a longer run up so you dont have to swing your arm as fast because i dont think you have any control over the release, also try bowling over the wicket instead of around that might help you with thoose wides. :)

  • front arm ( non bowling arm) wants to be nice and straight and aiming on the stumps this will keep you're balance better and aim more accurate so less wides.

  • try and stay more up right and more "rigid" but not too much trie nd get your front arm higher too

  • your action is wild.

  • keep your head straight, you can't see where you are bowling

  • Mate thats an awful action! U need 2 increase ur run up slightly and also work on ur jump before u release the ball...the burst from ur arm mite b effective but in the long run will injure u. U need 2 move forward in 1 motion so run up, jump, then arm action should all happen while u r moving forward.

  • it appears to be yorker length, try to add variation and add a slower ball

  • Great action! but you would bowl faster if you lost the gay red short homo pants.

    Brett Lee

  • that action must be hard work - why dont you try shortening your run , point an open fist at the sky in your bowling stride and let out a scream when you let the ball go! Mate - bowling is not meant to look that akward!

  • As I said before cricket is a fag game LOL.

  • thats pretty quick if thats the full length

  • mate your hopeless

    just give up

  • The reason you bowl down leg side is because you dont get your hips facing down the wicket at the moment of release. It doesnt matter if you're a sling/side on or front on bowler you need to get your hips in the direction you want the ball to travel. A good way to ensure is to imagine at the delivery stride you are leading with your hips and stomach and then at release follow completely through burying your right shoulder into the pitch. Hope it helps mate

  • Your action looks very similar to that of Malinga who flings it over. You have great pace, keep it up bud

  • 61.9 mph

  • get a longer, smoother run up that will help alot

and try un complicate your action.

Dale Steyn has a very good action, and Jimmy Anderson, try bowling like them

  • i was gonna say the exact same thing

  • I agree his action is very Vettori like.

  • i play cricket myself if u watch daniel vettori a lot u probably picked up his action but hes spin and u look paki or indian so thats not right but u gotta take a longer run up

  • wtf does him being paki or indian have to do with it?/?

prbly likes vettori as a player.....but i do agree his action is more suited to spin.

  • not good tbh ur front arm needs to be way higher and ur run up to is too slanted if tht was bowled to me be prepared to see boundarys!

  • front arm needs to be higher... bring front arm down and rock onto front foot with weight....

  • yeh full run up and all with 22 yards ur probs around 60 mph

  • thats a no-ball m8

  • 75mph! Get real looks about 50mph and your bowling about 15 yards when a cricket pitch is 22!

  • i think ur probz one of the best bowlers i have ever seen i love the fact that ur more bother about collecting the ball then ur follow thru

how many attemps did it take for u to hit the stumos u dont even look where your bowling

  • u hav like a spin run up dude

  • cut your hair.

  • stop being gay.

  • too many loops hinders your pace. A bowler's speed comes from the length the arm moves through the action from the back to the front. More loops makes the action look quicker but the delivery slower. Look at Shoaib Akthar or Jeff Thomson for extremes. You'll noticed the arms moves back gently then the burst does everything to get it to the front as quickly as possible.

  • why u worried about your bowling when your a worldclass wkt keeper mahendra?

  • nets?? what nets??

  • Your run up is all over the place like a mad woman's shit, which among other things robs you of pace. Try running in a straight line. Also if that was a good example of your bowling then you are dropping it too short. Line and length mate, what's this bullshit about 'the imaginary 2nd leg stump'? The only thing that will hit is the middle of the bat!!!

  • cammo ur the fukwit u shuld stik to sukin ur mums prick

  • u lack ability just look like a fuckwit m8 stick 2 telemarketing

  • make ure run up longer, and run in a straight line, runing to the side and coming back in isn't going to help. then bring ure arm down straight dont bring it across ure face, coz u ain gna see what ure doing, and stop ureself from falling over to the side

  • Try and keep you're head and body strait on run in, Just try and take a slightly bigger run up, yours is the size of a spinner.

  • first off...come over the wicket

secondly your head body is all over the place at the point of delivery...make your run up and delivery smoother and let pace come on its own...pace iwll come if you work out and improve your muscles,

being a fellow left arm pacer it is much easier for us to get wickets then right handers because of our natural angle...if you look back there are a lot of left arm bowlers with average speedd and took lots of wickets

    chaminda vaas

  • no future mate!

  • i just felt like smashing that through mid-on

  • i agree lol woulda been 4 bikkies

  • Its your action

  • I thikn it's fine for pace but you may be better to work on swing more then pace. With your high arm you may have a chance of getting some left arm out swing (inswing to the right hander) which is very hard to play when delivered over the wicket

  • i don't think your action is suitable for fast bowling.. ur action more likely to suit for left arm spin..

  • your action is not supporting fast bowling and u dont have follow up.

  • all I can say is your action is funny

lose some weight and then try to bowl fast...

with this fat ass of yours you cannot ball real fast...

  • i have no idea mate

  • dude im a fast bowler for my school , my advice is run up straight fast bowler run up is straight only spin bowler move like that.

  • Your dropping your right shoulder. Thats always going to push the ball leg side!

A longer run up would help too. This would give you a more relaxed run up that would create more pace for you also!

  • take a longer run up if you want to be a fast bowler, dont lean too much on your ring and keep your body straight

  • straight run up next time, if u move around too much u lose balance and accuracy, ur bowling arm should brush past your ear, and your head should be straight before release and in line with your non-bowling arm, try to line up your bowling arm with your front leg, your release looks fine, remember stay tall for bounce and pace...good luck

  • I'm more of a batsmen so don't ask me about bowling really, although one tip, it looks like you are trying to look like Dhoni in that video...not a wise move

  • hahha.. i don't know if that was a compliment, but I don't have to try.

    I already look like that

  • ha well dhoni annoys me a bit to be honest and there are quite a few people trying to copy him, but i think he has had a haircut, and well he does have to have an all women security guard unit, so you may have to invest in one too lol

  • lock your left arm into your shoulder then keep your head at 90 degrees, if ou stay tall you should get a higher bounce and more pace

  • Thanks for the load of constructive advice. I'll be using a lot of notes in my next recording

  • Firstly I don't claim that what I am going to say is the 'right' way to bowl and there have been successful exceptions to this advice.

Still there are general principles in fast bowling that help both speed and accuracy.

You have a very small leap into your action (it is mainly a mini side leap).

The size of the leap is individual but it is important for gaining the sufficient time for you to get into the delivery 'release' position.

Yours needs to be forward not sideways.

  • you can try to be a little more side on with your action so your non bowling elbow faces just outside the off stump.

  • First off. Left arm seamers swing quite a bit. It would be best if you bowled from over the wicket instead of around. Second. In your run up you moved from a straight line, to your left, then to the right again. Too many movements causing you to be imbalanced when you deliver. Try to be in a nice smooth rhythm when you run up and even if you jump to the side make sure your body is nice and straight during the jump and right before u deliver. If you still have problems from over the wicket then

  • stand up more and u will be more accurate and u will hbe faster

  • keep ur arm straighter, n same with ur body, try not to lean ... causes injuries

  • your body needs to be more upright, you'll get an injury leaning off to the side in your follow through.

  • Run Up Starighter So yur body Mor Easyily Balanced ;)

  • for one, why u bowling round the wicket? The ball would have to travel further.

  • run up straight bring ur right arm across past ur face to ur left above ur head if u stop of 3 secs u cana c u need to bring ur left arm closser 2 ur head follow ur arms thourogh after u hav bowled 2 right bak as far as they can go and in ur follow through dont runs down the centre of the wiket

  • my freind i notice two things that can effect ur performnce i am lefty too that y i m telling u this

1 ur action is bit comlicated means ur throwing involves more shoulder work than ur arm

and the next i noticed is ur concentration is on throwing the ball u are nor looking at the place where u want to land the ball ,if u keeep doing this u wont have control on ur line and length

so my conclusion is honest, being a lefty u must be lethal but if u follow this u will be destructivly lethal

  • spot on m8 i tryd doing what u said help a bit nice one plz rigth bak

  • what do you mean?

  • With that action...you must be paki.

  • I am Pakistani

  • That's definately a compliment, pakies revolutionized fast bolwing....so maybe you're on to something with that crazy action. G'luck.

  • racist much

  • nah not at all...

  • as long as u hit the stumps like u did thats fine, every is different action, anyway you are unpredictable, that will get u more wickets, keep the action the same.

  • and give away 4 or more runs of extras and other singles?

  • if u lisen to me my frend

run str8 wen ur running in to bowl n jump a bit higher wit a str8 arm

    u will bowl beautifully den

  • Thanks for the constructive comments. I intend to make the 'run up' my primary focus.

You guys are great. Thanks so much!

  • this was horrible! change everything fuck the speed that comes wen the basic is perfect. focus on running the run up forget how u hold the ball forget the shirt forget the batsmen FOCUSE ON THE RUN UP.

  • good advise but what about this:

run up straight as a start and always have your eye on the stump your aiming at. follow through straight and take a 17 pace run up. run up fast and make your jump higher. get your right hand out of the way of your eye and watch expert village videos on you tube to see how to hold the ball look at all type of balls and comment by asking them questions and reply to me please

  • focus on the run up, if you can get that right then the rest should become a bit easier.

  • u should keep your run up straight but a little bit of curve but make it so it suits you

  • Straight run up. Use ur right arm pull it down and work on ur follow through.

  • in straight run up u cant acheive swing dear

  • it is extremely difficult for a bowler such as yourself to improve accuracy without a total change in bowling action. you seem to rely heavily on your chest muscles and very little on your core. a faster and smoother run up would help plus you should run in in a straighter line. this would help both speed and control.

  • thanks for the advice. You are right in the fact that I rely a lot on my muscles, since I have absolutely no momentum.

Have you seen my other video?

  • A couple of problems, purple pants and black shirt are a horrible combination. Also, buy some longer pants, they are too short. And maybe take a shower, i can smell you through my computer.

  • hahah!

  • yar ...your pace is 15 mph...you are mutthal.

    pls stop masturbating.

  • your run up point and your release point are in a straight line but your run up angles away, so just run in a straight line or run in wider from the crease, dont start straight, run outwards, then come back inside..as for your pace, just go and get timed, prob around 70mph +

  • juz by dat video cannot giv an advice cz 2 giv an advice shd knw hw much consistent u r and ur right line & length & de pace u hav. so if u can tel dat n post a video in which u bowl abt 50 balls

  • Maybe you could do what all pakis do, bend your elbow more when bowling and take drugs to increase your pace.

  • Sort our run up out!!

  • type in mathew hoggards sectrets of swing and that will show u how to bowl better

  • give up cricket u gay paki

  • fuck off twat. if i could find you id kill you n im not joking.

  • shut up you gay me and jakabarka will come and kill you!

  • Ur action is halfway decent. What you mainly need to work on is ur run up. To do this just start at a marker, close your eyes and run and pretend to bowl as it feels natural, have a friend mark where your front foot lands from your jump. This is a good indicator of the length of your run up and should provide better rythem and thus more pace.

  • i play cricket for hampshire u15's and i bowl about 65mph, my advise to you is make sure your run up is straight and that your front arm comes down straight too.

follow through on your run up you want to be about half way down the wicket once you have released the ball.

good luck on your future cricket.

  • u cant do bowling

  • oh, how insightful. bowler, please ignore this idiot.

you have a fairly good action, you just need to work on keeping the body relaxed and balanced while bowling. your run up should be along a straight line, your feet tends to move across too much.

my coach used to tell me to practice putting an envelope in the place you want to pitch the ball. if you can hit the spot, 5 times out of 10, you will learn to improve accuracy of delivery

  • Your run up wavers. Try to make it straight and that will keep you balanced through delivery. That should fix many of the other problems you have after delivery. The speed looks about 120-125kph but it's hard to tell. Keep working on it.

  • well 1st of all try to spell cricket first, ok

  • increase your run up and trying running straighter cos when you stray you loose some of your momentem and try reducing your surface area by which i mean keep your hands closer when you start this also will make it easier for you to swing the ball

  • mate u need to trasfer that weight a bit later,, and stay taller at the point of realase,,, your weight transfer is too early,,, it leaves ur arm behind

  • deliver wider of the crease. that should sort out your wide problem. Good arm action which is quick but you really need a longer run up to notch up the pace!

  • You should play international cricket as soon as possible. Such inverse talent should not go waste.

  • dont bother bowling... ;)

  • run in a straight line and follow through

  • I have played cricket for 9 years (since i was 6). First off, make sure that you keep your eye on the spot where you want to bowl and even when you have released the ball, make sure that your eyes follow it, try not to vere off the pitch

  • first off dont drop your head to the side

secondly use your left arm more

thirdly you cant follow through in the direction of the stumps because you will be walking on the pitch and blocking the umpire (which could mean you lose a lot of wickets if the ump cant see!)

  • i'm also a left arm pace bowler. i got a few coaching tips from gilly's day ant school and camps. he said that if u want more pace, to reach up with ur free arm and pretend that ur pulling down a chain as hard as u can. also u look like ur using ur shoulders to try and get more pace (what i used to do) but its easy to get a longer run up coz it also lowers the chance of injuries

  • try not to jump so wide at the crease..... by all means mix it up but u need to get close the wicket as a genaral rule..... also keep ur right arm up as long as u can, help better ball release and postion of ur head..

  • you have a nice fast arm, but as every1 else said, u need to work on a run up. then u can hit ur 75mph. to me that was about 60-65mph. but thats jus judgment from 1 ball

  • ha.....you suck

  • FIRST OF ALL WORK ON YOUR RUN UP.... for ur run up start slowly taking small steps and as u geettin closer to bowl take bigger steps while keepin ur arms to ur side and then deliver..make sure u have a lil jump wen u thrw and looook where u want to pitch the ball
