  • Prayer forced on students in public schools is by definition forcing religious instructions on individuals.

  • It is clear that Organized Religion is what the Founders despised and feared would do the same here as it did in Europe. When secular governments see the rise of Organized Religion as an increasing threat they are forced to enact laws and interpret intent of the Founders in such a way as to protect the core values the Founders intended; the protection of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Never underestimate the power of large groups of ignorant people driven by pundits with hysteria.

  • @theawakener7 Saved in the sense that they would have a savior, they would be saved from the burden of the Law, not literally saved as in they will automatically go to heaven. Remember how John the Baptist was preparing the way for Jesus by baptizing people he kept saying REPENT!! As in change your ways and follow Christ. Repenting is something you must do personally that is why John was challenging the jews and gentiles.

  • @theawakener7 If i never sin again there would still be the matter of the sins before I even started reading the bible. God knows its highly improbable for human beings never to sin but God by his righteous nature hates sin and will never come to a point of excusing it. Jesus even commands us to be perfect, Matthew 5:48 , why would God give a command that we couldn't keep. The only man who reached perfection so far was Jesus, I've been trying for 11 years maybe next year will be lucky.

  • @theawakener7 Honestly speaking I am weak; Jesus was sent because I am weak; I am a human. Its like saying go the rest of your life without making a mistake. Its possible never to make a mistake again but highly improbable. I try hard not to sin but i never quite make it and I don't have to worry about that. As long as I am trying God will see my efforts and judge my heart. God is not keeping a sin tally. 1 Samuel 16:7

  • @theawakener7 Ok I'm going the organize the questions in a nice yes or no format to make it easy for you.

According to your doctrine we are puppets on the stage of life where God is always pulling our strings. so....

    1. Is there such a thing as sin? Yes/No

    2. If yes, can human beings commit sins? Yes/No

    3. If yes, Is God ultimately responsible for all the sins committed by human beings as he controls us all absolutely. Yes/No

There you are nice and simple just for you.

  • @theawakener7 According to your doctrine I am an unwilling participant in God's lawbreaking. If God is controlling us just like puppets then there is no sin because it is primarily and solely God who transgresses his own laws apart from human will. Thank you very much that makes like easier, for now I can claim no responsibility for my actions and live guilt free.

I freely choose to sin or not to sin in any given circumstance God always provides an out to sin. 1 Corinthians 10:13

  • @theawakener7 God pours out salvation and blessings on those whom He favors. God brings judgment on those who continue to rebel against Him. “Woe to him who quarrels with his Master” (Isaiah 45:9). That is the person to whom God brings “evil” and “disaster.” So, rather than saying that God created “moral evil,” Isaiah 45:7 is presenting a common theme of Scripture – that God brings disaster on those who continue in hard-hearted rebellion against Him.

  • @theawakener7 ” The Hebrew word can refer to moral evil, and often does have this meaning in the Hebrew Scriptures. However, due to the diversity of possible definitions, it is unwise to assume that “I create evil” in Isaiah 45:7 refers to God bringing moral evil into existence. (2) The context of Isaiah 45:7 makes it clear that something other than “bringing moral evil into existence” is in mind. The context of Isaiah 45:7 is God rewarding Israel for obedience and punishing disobedience.

  • @theawakener7 Isaiah 45:7 in the King James Version reads, “I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.” How does Isaiah 45:7 agree with the view that God did not create evil? There are two key facts that need to be considered. (1) The word translated “evil” is from a Hebrew word that means “adversity, affliction, calamity, distress, misery.” Notice how the other major English Bible translations render the word: “disaster” (NIV, HCSB).

  • @theawakener7 A condition WHAT?! what does that even mean. So let me get this straight when you act the way you do and attract the kind of negative comments on your page from others its because God anointed you to be the kind of person that gets under people's skin. interesting.

  • @theawakener7 Now answer my question. I will ask again "If we have do not have freewill then how can there be such a thing as sin. How can anyone be punished for something that God does through us independent of our will"?

Also i never said i did not sin, so you are false on that.

Romans 6:23 all sin leads to death and must be resisted no matter what varying degrees or long drawn out battles of conquest you want to put on it.

  • Remember how Joseph ran from Potiphar's wife when she wanted to sleep with him. There is your example of someone freely choosing not to sin(adultery).

  • @theawakener7 You are finally starting to break down, very good. let me ask one big hard hitting question.

If man has no freewill, then how can man commit sins?

and lest we forget, Jesus Christ was a human being who never committed sin. So it can be done.

  • @theawakener7 Its called an analogy kind of like the parables that jesus used. Salvation is a gift that you can never repay God for in the same way you can never pay back trillions of dollars. I can't dumb it down any more that that. Interesting what you said because people feel that way about God some say "why do I need God's blessings and love, i could get my own blessings and love without him".

  • @theawakener7 Galatians 5:19 sexual immorality is an act of the sinful nature. I don't choose to ignore anything, you choose to distract with things that have nothing to do with our discussion. Respond to Ephesians 4:29 which says you as a "Christian" can't use the word nigga, that is where this mostly started.

  • @theawakener7 Even if pharaoh's heart was hardened he was not a puppet. As i said before if we are controlled by God on every single thing, then there is no such thing as sin. There is no evil then because God controls everything.

  • @theawakener7 I've dumbed it down as far as it can go, if you can't get it now then you need divine revelation. As I said before God knowing what we will do does not mean we did not choose what to do. Galatians 5:16-26 You choose to keep in step with the spiritual or sinful nature, pure and simple.

  • @theawakener7 I never said God didn't know what he was doing? What are you talking about. What you are saying has nothing to do with what we are discussing.

  • @theawakener7 What happens to blacks and other white people is up to God's judgment and has nothing to do with you. I'm not saying you can't go to heaven if you have said nigga by accident but this is a heart issue. God judges the heart; If you as a "christian" know very well that nigga is not the kind of word a Christian would use yet still use it there must be a heart problem. John 21:18-22 read that and pay attention to the "what is that to you." When it comes to sin, why take the chance?

  • @theawakener7 I never said God was surprised, he was just grieved that man made the decision to sin. God knowing what we are going to do does not negate the fact that we are the ones who make those choices. God knew betrayal was coming but it does not make it hurt less. Just because you have seen a movie before the actors in that movie are still exercising their free will to say their lines or improv.

  • @theawakener7 First of all you have to provide scriptures that say people like hitler will in effect have a fiery prison sentence then make it to heaven. Consider this son, If God "causes" us to love him and by that i think you mean soften our hearts as opposed to hardening them like he did with Pharoah Ramesus, then he would be predetermining some men's eternal destination which contradicts his desire that "all" men be saved and come to know the truth. Reconcile this for me oh wise one.

  • @theawakener7 We can't earn salvation or righteousness but Salvation is given to us as a gift from God by means of Jesus Christ. As i have been saying it is then up to you whether not you want to collect and take advantage of your gift. God gives you the choice to use his account of salvation or not. I hope that helps you to finally understand.

  • @theawakener7 Rom 6:23 is just saying sin leads to destruction, that is common knowledge for Christians, what is your point. Anyway think of it like this, If Bill Gates opens up a checking account for you with a few billion dollars and said its yours free, and here is the pin number. That is a gift that you most likely would never be about to attain, but you can still choose to use the money in the account or not use the money. Its your choice.

  • @theawakener7 I would try reading Romans 17:18-24 but it does not exist so that is a bit of a problem. Moses could be in heaven but that is really up to God. Genesis 5:24 said Enoch was with God and then God took him away. Again they have nothing to do with you (John 21:18-22) Remember when Peter asked Jesus how bout that man Jesus said "what is that to you, you follow me". What others do has nothing to do with you following God, which includes not using the word nigga.

  • @theawakener7 dude that is talking about the carnal nature or the flesh it is a part of us but it is not the definition of us. Obviously your sinful nature will not submit to righteousness that is why it is called your sinful nature. 1 Corinthians 9:27 Paul talks about beating your sinful nature in order reach righteousness, fighting your carnal nature as to live righteously.

I aint done yet i will be back to straighten out your other points.

  • @theawakener7 a puny human cannot thwart God's will, which is why God "grants" authority on us much like he gave man dominion over the earth. God allows some things and disallows others but at the very core God will not force us to love him or follow him. If you believe that mankind can commit sin then you believe in freewill. If there is no freewill then Hitler is off the hook because God was pulling his puppet strings. Adam and Eve chose to disobey God. Rejecting God is choosing hell.

  • @theawakener7 Ephesians 5:4 "Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving." The bible forbids even using nigga as a joke and dude i am not judging you, the bible is. If you can casually use that word, it is a reflection of your heart. Luke 6:45. Be careful when you call God's wishes pathetic bro, Explain why Genesis 6:6 says God was grieved by man, couldn't he just force adam and eve to do whatever he wanted.

  • @theawakener7 you didn't read the scripture did you. On judgement day what I say and what other black people say does not exempt you from not using that word. The scripture says "only" what is edifying. the word nigga has no edifying quality period. So you as a Christian must not use it. This is the standard. If you are a true Christian you would strive not to use the word but all you are doing is trying to justify it.

  • @theawakener7 2 Timothy 3:5 yes the holy spirit can move you but you can still reject it. Paul is writing to Christians who have the holy spirit yet deny its power. The Holy spirit guides and suggests but does not force. We are not puppets. God made us as such to make choices. God's desires and will is thrawted all the time just like a child disobeys their parents; no parent wants that but it happens. Genesis 6:6 God was grieved because he created man, do you think he wanted or willed that?

  • @theawakener7 think about it there are men today and in the past who did not and will not make it to heaven. Therefore God's desire that all men will be saved doesn't happen. Acts 3:19 when people are told to repent and turn to God they are given a directive that they must do on their own. God cannot repent you of your sins you must do it yourself. The current state of the world is a result of Adam and Eve eating the forbidden fruit, they made a choice and there were consequences.

  • @theawakener7 my fault luke 6:45 said out of the heart the mouth speaks, but also add Ephesians 4:29 which says let no unwholesome word come form your mouth but only what is beneficial for those hwo listen. the word nigger or nigga is a word designed to break down not build up and if you want to call yourself a christian you cannot use such a word. back to luke 6:45 your words reflect the racist state of your heart. last i checked racism doesn't jive with love.

  • @theawakener7 Luke 6:45 says out of the mouth the heart speaks. so if your using the word nigga then it reflects your heart according to the word and that is the only litmus test i have to know that you feel superior to blacks. pure and simply the bible has judged you.

  • @theawakener7 WHAT!!! so let me get this straight God forces me to follow him and love him against my will. Those things are slavery and rape respectively. 1 Tim 2:3-6 says God "desires" that all follow him but that does not mean God will get his wish, in fact he doesn't because narrow is the road and few follow it as in a minority of mankind will make it to heaven. John 3:17 says God sent his son to die for us so we can have the opportunity if we so choose to be with him.

  • @theawakener7 You are speaking about the ability to confess that jesus is lord, i am speaking about the choice to say it. Because of Jesus' death we all have the opportunity to confess to the Lord but that does not mean we will all take advantage of it. It is my personal choice and free will to decide if I will follow Christ. On judgement day every knee will bow but that does not mean everyone is saved. In court everyone stands up for the judge but that doesn't mean he won't send you to prison.

  • @theawakener7 if your not black and you are using the n word; then you are racist. pure and simple.

  • @theawakener7 1. I don't understand how I am not talking to you if i respond to everything you say.

    2. If you want to bear the name of a Christian then I am supposed to judge you. read matthew 18:15-17

  • @theawakener7 also read Romans 10:9-10 "That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved

So to review if i don't confess with my mouth I am not saved, if I do then i am saved. Those scriptures are easy enough for even you to understand. if anything else is unclear let me know

  • @theawakener7 one of the most famous scriptures John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

See how it says that whoever "believes" shall not perish.... If i choose not to believe then i will perish if i choose to believe i will be saved. its up to me to accept of reject God's gift of salvation.

  • @theawakener7 Furthermore if you want to claim the title of a Christian, which i am not sure whether or not you want to, it is probably a good idea not to spew racism all over the internet.

  • @theawakener7 I do believe there was a word of God that the disciples believed in. You know the same one that jesus quoted in the sermon on the mount. Jesus died on the cross to make salvation possible but it is up to the person if they want to accept it. ie you are responsible for your own salvation. Furthermore on judgement day God will only be talking to you and will never mention your church your heart will be judged.

  • @theawakener7 yes, yes, yes, and yes. Careful enough for you; btw if you want to out someone it helps if you address the points made in the video and not deviate.

  • @theawakener7 First there was one single doctrine among Jesus' original twelve, it has just been watered down over time. Second of all if you believe that organized religion is teaching the opposite of what the bible says and Jesus taught, then read the bible for yourself problem solved. Every Christian is responsible for their own salvation. Who exactly did you "out" btw.

Why are you commenting on this video btw; you didn't respond to the music challenge. Probably because you can't

  • The first Amendment protects the government from religious institutions and likewise protects religious institutions from the government. But more importantly it's supposed to protect the people from the discrimination of both. People need to stop the cycles of self-victimization and stop exaggerating the intentions of people who just simply don't agree with them.

  • There are factual errors strewn throughout this video. Jefferson was a deist. He rewrote the New Testament to fit his beliefs! Most founding fathers were, in fact, deist. The ruling of taking prayer out of public school involved organized mandatory prayer. Students were allowed to organize of their own volition and pray publicly on school grounds, just not with public money. This video is grade "A" fear-mongering.

  • it helps to cite where you got information form otherwise you could be making things up.

  • I thought all of this was common knowledge. What exactly would you like for me to confirm?

  • well sometimes common knowledge isn't common...you said Jefferson was deist who rewrote the new testament, from whom did you get this information. Also you said the video was stewn with factual errors....list a few of them.

  • If you search "Jefferson Bible" at Google Books you will find the whole text. He stripped the gospels of anything miraculous.

"I never submitted the whole system of my opinions to the creed of any party of men whatever in religion, in philosophy, in politics, or in anything else where I was capable of thinking for myself. Such an addiction is the last degradation of a free and moral agent."

-Thomas Jefferson, letter to Francis Hopkinson, March 13, 1789

  • "The whole history of these books [the Gospels] is so defective and doubtful that it seems vain to attempt minute enquiry into it... In the New Testament there is internal evidence that parts of it have proceeded from an extraordinary man; and that other parts are of the fabric of very inferior minds. It is as easy to separate those parts, as to pick out diamonds from dunghills."

-Thomas Jefferson, letter to John Adams, January 24, 1814

  • "Where the preamble declares, that coercion is a departure from the plan of the holy author of our religion, an amendment was proposed by inserting "Jesus Christ," so that it would read "A departure from the plan of Jesus Christ, the holy author of our religion;" the insertion was rejected by the great majority, in proof that they meant to comprehend, within the mantle of its protection, the Jew and the Gentile, the Christian and Mohammedan, the Hindoo and Infidel of every denomination."

  • That last comment was from Thomas Jefferson's Autobiography in reference to the Virginia Act for Religious Freedom.

  • "And the day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the supreme being as his father in the womb of a virgin will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerve in the brain of Jupiter. But may we hope that the dawn of reason and freedom of thought in these United States will do away with this artificial scaffolding, and restore to us the primitive and genuine doctrines of this most venerated reformer of human errors."

-Thomas Jefferson, Letter to John Adams, April 11, 1823

  • If you search for "Everson v. Board of Educ. of Ewing" you will find the case file of the ruling in question. I prefer reading from Cornell's website. It's a simple Google search and it uses primary sources.

  • Nothing quiet like making up shit to prove your point.

  • actually there is something much better, calling someone's comments s*** without showing how...that way you don't have to do any actually thinking or make actual arguments.

  • You responded to my video. Your argument is a counter to mine, and it's shit. You can't just make stuff up.

  • actually you stated an opinion responding to my comments but didn't show how i was making up things in my original comments. Arguments need premises and conclusions which you have none. My response is a good argument it can be read as such Responding to someone's comments just to take a shot requires no thinking and no arguments therefore it is much better than making up things which takes thinking.......like i said you have no thought and no argument.

  • You're not understanding.

This is a video response to God and the United States Constitution

You responded to MY VIDEO with THIS VIDEO. My premise and conclusion were already given to you. It changes nothing though.

  • no it wasn't...you need to show it clearly because i'm not going to read your mind.

  • What sort of dogmatic nonsense are you pandering here???

    ONE-DIRECTIONAL WALL? Are you INSANE?

"The United States is in no sense founded upon Christian doctrine."

--Article XI, Treaty of Tripoli, passed by Congress 1797

  • The colonies of Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay, New Haven, and New Hampshire were founded by Puritan, Calvinist, Protestants and The colonies of New York, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia were officially Church of England...endowed by their "creator" and in "God" we trust shows that the beliefs of these root founders never left..as the video says they could have not imagined so many other religions in the United States. they didn't want one sect to be supreme.

  • Being a deist, as were most of the founders, Jefferson did believe in a Creator, just not the Christian God.

"In God We Trust" was added to our currency in the 50's. Hardly founding material.

BTW, god is a job description.....not a name. It could mean ANY God......Shiva, Lakshmi, Thor, Zeus, Hera, Maat......because freedom of religion means ANY religion and also freedom FROM religion.

  • the ones who settled the original thirteen colonies of which the founders grew up in were talking about the Christian God

ummm no its not a description because God or Yahweh if you prefer is not the same as Thor or Zeus.....this discussion is about church and state separation not freedom of religion....try to stay on message

In God we trust isn't founding material as much as it is evidence of the Christian root...if it was a description then it would have read "in Zeus we trust"

  • These were very learned men, most of them deists. In case you don't know, a deist doesn't proscribe to a particular deity.....just believes in a deity in general.

And yes, God is a job description. Yahweh is a name of a particular God.

"In God We Trust" isn't evidence of a Christian root anymore than Britney Spears is evidence of an innocent root. It's like claiming horse apples are actually fruit instead of shit.

  • Oh, and separation of church and state is part of freedom from religion. We are guaranteed not only freedom OF religion, but also freedom FROM religion. Meaning our gov't shouldn't use religious precepts in making and deciding law because not every person believes in a deity or your deity.

Personally, I wish I could be free of the stifling Christian influence. It really makes life worse for a lot of people.

  • Furthermore our president swears in on a Bible, and we swear on a bible in court, so the roots of this country are pretty obvious. Besides Article XI was a ratification made 21 years after the birth of the nation which slowly began to change it to what you see today.

  • Most courts no longer ask people to swear on a Bible. And each president CHOOSES whether or not to swear on a Bible as his conviction warrants.

The Constitution and the United States government were not set up as immutable institutions. The founders realized that as times changed, so should laws. This is why there are amendments allowed to the Constitution and laws change on a regular basis.

  • Good as times "change" and as the nation slowly goes left, God is being removed slowly but surely....but that still does not do away with the fact that there were Christian roots in the founding of this nation.

Furthermore there is no way the founders could have predicted scientology or the the influx of islamic immigrants...i believe that if the had they might have written it differently.

  • It is a good thing that God and religion is being removed from government. When you mix politics and religion, it's not very long before people start dying. Look at Iran. Theocracies are NOT stable, fair or right.

What Christians fail to realize is that faith is NOT a one God fits all proposition.....nor should it be. Aardvarks and antelopes, there is more than one path to the waterhole.

  • Would you people SHUT THE HELL UP ?

    You sound like COMPLETE IDIOTS!!!

Yes, protect the state from the stupid ass church!! Thank GOD !!

Your bible teaches is ok to sell your daugher into SLAVERY !! You NUT CASES !! Read Exodus 21:7

Thank GOD we do not follow THOSE TEACHINGS or we would still have SLAVERY in AMERICA !!!

  • Levitical law imposes death penalties for cutting hair certain ways, not burning sacrifices and mixing materials when making clothing. It's a wonderful thing that we haven't codified this as American law or we'd all be in danger of dying for our poly/cotton blends.

  • You need to take that up with Jewish people, but Christians are not bounded by archaic, culturally specific, old testament rules.

  • Then Christians need to remove the old testament from the Bible. You can't have it both ways. You also can't refer to Leviticus when calling homosexuality a sin and reject the rest of Levitical law.

Hypocrisy is the backbone of Christianity.

  • umm no, your just cherry picking a few hypocrites and extrapolating it to the whole religion, that is the same logic behind racism and sexism. Real Christians are not bounded by the letter of the law, they have grace and Jesus Christ....essentially Jesus updated the Laws and did away with the legalism from before. Homosexuality btw is in the New Testament.

  • No, I'm not. There are entire sects based upon verses of the old testament. So is much of Christian dogma.

And where EXACTLY is homosexuality condemned in the new testament?
