okay guys... after u guys did everything he said, turn off your device, unplug it from your computer, and let it turn on by itself. then it should go into dfu mode, then you can do the rest. Gl. Hope it helps. It worked for me so Thanks @42nRock12

Hey guys i just wanted to update because i havent really said anything on this video in a while. I hope it worked for everyone but i see that it didnt and beyond this method im not so sure of any other solutions besides the tinyumbrella one which still is iffy so if anyone does find another method id be sure to promote it. @MooseCakez Maybe i can help you. I think the misstake you make is when you saved the hosts file. you have to rewrite it, i forgot it, i created kinda a new "hosts" file. The first time it didnt work, the second time it worked. Just try it again and be aware of it!

If you cant do that Then you have bigger issues. And if you did do that and you still get the error then check to see if you have a # symbol as the first character of every line of your host file and if you dont add it. After that you have issues beyond me try reinstalling itunes sorry 2b mean

I have been stuck in DFU mode for 2 days because i tried downgrading ios5 back to 4.3.3 and i've watched countless youtube videos and i would have to say hands down by watching your video 1 time i was successfully able to get it to work. try this .. go ahead and open up "hosts" file as an administrator .. locate the 2nd line from the bottom ( the line that does NOT start with a "#" sign) .. simply add a "#" sign in front of it and exit "hosts" .. open up your itunes again and try upgrading your software. I've had this goddamn 3194 error for 3 days .. but after I've done what I just told you. it finally worked ;)

@TheAcademyMember there is a way to jailbreak the ios 5 but its tethered right now so you have to reboot it with your computer whenever you turn it off or it runs out of battery so personally im just waiting for untethered to come out becuz i tthink its too much of a hassle but if you want me to give you a link to the website with the tethered jailbreak i will or if you want me tell you when the untethered is released i will :)
