  • The eye piece cuts your field of vision in half. Too much extra weight for the already over burdened soldier. All of that extra crap they have bolted onto the rifle would slow down target acquisition. A jammer would turn 25lbs of technology into useless dead weight.

  • @mars1952 it's a good idea, but it still has to be optimized, so they should reconsider their program to help saving lifes..

  • Anybody know the update on the Land warrior program?

  • i like how humans depend on technology for everything we are an interesting race i wonder what aliens use instead? maybe they dnt have spaceships like we do maybe they are in the cavemam stages?

  • wow that slide down slide up clothes change is so corny

  • But what if it gets hit by bullets?

  • heh usa made

  • This episode is old as fuck since its already in service.

  • Robocop

  • I've never seen these technologies in my life before. How can they be able to save lives of the soldiers?

  • so if 1 soldier dies and happen to get his gear stolen `?

  • @TheElcentralen the enemy has it lol

  • what's next? Hardline Pro? Scavenger Pro? no way i'm gonna carry all that extra in 130 degree weather in Iraq, or drag it through the swamp. Seriously, the MILES gear is bad enough when they make you wear it for training.

  • It cant determin civillian from the enemy. It still cant stop US soldiers from shooting/killing allies and civillians. It just helps them do it better. Some countries had more soldiers die from US "friendly" fire than from the enemy.

3:40 Isralies made guns 9 years ago which already shoot around courners. "where only the gun is exposed" so are the hands holding the gun.

4:40 wow a new concept, actually know who your ment to kill.

"the soldier needs all the help he can get" how true that is.

  • The whole system goes ineffective by a single shot in the small computer .They should improve that too.

  • it doesn't really explain how a soldier selects all those options. It looks like there's a cursor so what's moving it?

  • UNIVERSAL SOLDIERS

  • i just did this about half an hour ago. its called battlefield 3

  • @thunderchundering hhaha.. true man!

  • @angelite143 haha best game!

  • WHAT DOES THE SCOUTER SAY ABOUT HIS POWER LEVEL???

  • @envyVIPER IT'S OVER NINE-THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND!

  • I don't see this working. The information that the technology provides might be useful, but might also be too much and too difficult to process, especially in a high stress environment.

  • @wilfffilmkijken These soldiers are no doubt trained to use this equipment effectivley no matter what. They don't send people in with new hardware saying "Okay here's the stuff just let us know how it works bye."

  • @Kingbeastguy Of course, but training doesn't increase the amount of information we can process. Our brain has, just like a computer, limited resources.

  • @wilfffilmkijken Well you got me there. Still, the training can be used to teach them process the information quickly and comfortably. Think about it. At first try, you would be confused as fuck. After a few drills, you're getting the hand of it. After a ton of drills, the machine feels like an extension of your mind. And their have to show the info at appropiate speed. Like you say, we can only process so much.

  • @wilfffilmkijken no they're trained to learn how to deal in high stress enviroment otherwise why are they even in the military?

  • @longngo12 I didn't say they are not trained to deal with stress. I say that stress still makes itdifficult to process a lot of information. despite their training

You can experiences this stress and lack of brainpower yourself! Do the following experiment. Go outside and run for a few hours while listening to the worstmusic you have ever heard until you are totally exhausted. Then, try to solve an extremely difficult mathimatical equation. Practice a lot and let us know your improvements! ;)

  • @wilfffilmkijken but wat is the definition of worst music and is it possible for me to find the worst music...probably not lol too many music in this world and barely know the names to 100 songs

  • It's useless...it's a fucking burden, it's for the defense companies to make a quick buck! I want a freaking force field replacing the 5 tonnes ballistic vest! That's all I asking for!

  • GRAW

  • they should also put a life bar on the left lower side of the eye monitor and the amount of ammo in the right lower side^_^,..

  • i think a 20kg loadout wouldn't do too much.

  • Go and see FELIN system, designed by french, you will see what is futur warrior!

  • @2Lannick Written by a French, no thanks.

  • *Damn i got a trojan in my scope shit*

  • Universal soldier....

  • I feel that there is too much that can go wrong.

  • and how do you control the system with your eyes??

  • GHOST RECON ADVANCED WARFIGHTER MUCH????????

  • us marines dont need all that shit!! fuck the weak ass army

  • The outfit actually looks pretty bulky. Especially the wires.

Just drop us off at the powered nanosuit department instead. Thanks.

  • US army depend too much on high tech equipment, without it they cannot fight well.

  • its a real life call of duty mini map.

  • Interesting thought occurred to me while watching this video:

In the last quarter of the 18th century (that is 25 years), the US was involved in 8 military operations (wars, conflicts, rebellions etc.).

During the first Quarter of the 20th century (25 years), US forces were deployed in over 50 operations.

The last quarter of the 20th century saw the US in almost 60 military operations.

The past /year/ has seen 4 military operations conducted by the US Armed Forces.

  • Flat up GRAW 2 shit.

  • @100littlecurses GRAW 2? whats that?

  • @Killer27586 A videogame from a while back part of Tom Clancy's line up.

  • This whole Land Warrior thing was just big failure.

    Check the wikipedia....

  • Lolz Its like Tumblr!!

  • so now a soldier has a HUD nice haha

  • This is really old Land Warrior or (RoboGrunt) has been in the works for 20+ years the first prototypes had the computer crap carried in an ALICE pack and has been shrinking over the years.

  • well us reinvented the smart phone? for soldiers.. except.. this is MUCH bigger?

  • this has been put on hold are country is good at starting projects but never finishing them nuff said

  • Bad for eyes, radio transmitter is gonna cause cancers in brains....totally uneconomical. what they really should do is create and invest a robot capable of supper human strengths and then train soldiers to control those machines as if those were their bodies. Causalities would go from 100 to -99.

  • in 2111 they'll be laughing over this "technology", haar-de-haaaaar!

  • this is really fucking cool but just I hope that our troops don't become over-reliant on technology.

  • @ajsaccount1991 It won't happen in the near future, those guys are carrying another 10lb and still don't have a patrol load on.

When all that stuff can be done in a device the weight of a notepad at an affordable price, now we're talking.

  • play COD during war pc version

  • does it come with a mouse too?

  • just like playing cod, but in real life! :D

  • will the marine corps ever get this?

  • doubt every soldier would be issued the system, more likely the team leader/commander or specialist within the squad.

  • Gamers are gonna jizz their pants

  • thats bad for your eyes, just like watching t.v u close or staring at the laptop for hours, hes gonna need glasses just for his left eye

  • they sacrifice mobility and magazine capacity...

  • Similar to ghost recon almost

  • @searchoverload8 Exactly what I was thinking. It's kinda like the Cross-Com from GRAW, and also the gun with the ghost camera.

  • urm this sounds almost like the suits that the soldiers wear in Metal Gear Solid.i'm guessing we'll have nano communications put in there soon.lol.

  • interesting. but it could be distracting. this will probably be more realistic if only the squad has it or if it's a special ops or recon.

  • lol and go on facebook

  • @s8aterguy123 and play COD

  • @MrCASuckling epic lol

  • Lol they can share pictures hahaha that sounds more like facebook

  • It lags.

  • Why does he sound so angry.

  • terrorists are jizzing in their pants

  • terrorists are jizzing in their pants

  • doesn't seem to be all that useful in combat. If I'm getting shot at by a militant, an emey soldier, a terrorist, I'd like to have it screamed in my ear rather than having to watch it out of one eye, and shoot with the other. The extension sight is dead useful though. So far in, ain't had the good fortune to use one.

  • chodu video

  • NIce man

  • Now soldiers can Facebook while shooting terrorists at the same time...

  • tiberian sun

  • love the first words... SINCE THE BEGINNING OF TIME!!!!!!!! lol.

  • when are we going to see this in the war??when are wwe going to see the new guns and shit in the war or being used

  • it should really say how much each unit will cost , cuz it looks expensive

  • can anyone direct me to what branch of the military offers the spartan program? . . . lol

  • @Quickscript there is a supersuit similar to masterchiefs armor that is developed by the us army

  • :D now soilders can watch porn

  • Better have some kind of kill switch if US troops are captured.

  • i like the camera on the gun part but were the hell are we going to get money for this

  • @kingraider7

    from taxpaying american people

    where else

  • all u really need is ur own mind and your weapon and its a go to kick some ass

  • If a soldier wearing this stuff got captured the enemy would know basically everything about the US soldiers mission, other soldiers locations, where they were going etc etc- strikes me as a bit of a stupid idea!!

  • the FELIN Famas is better by far... the land warrior as been gave up, too heavy, too much bugs...

  • "only the weapon exposed" isn't a good quote. your hand holding the vertical forward grip is exposed. an enemy sniper could shoot it.

  • what if the computer malfunctions, even the GPS? resort back to old-school [old-rules] way with compass and what you learn in basic.

  • what's next, close to Ghost Recon 2 Advanced Warfighter?

  • This should be for snipers or us scouts or operations

  • What the soldiers need is a reliable gun.................... not some techy stuff thats complicate to use and operate , it is ridiculous that the m16 even had a a2 variant and futhuremore the m4a1................ dont they know about the reliability issues? they should replace the gun as soon as possible or maybe better still stick to the old trusty ak 47 which is cheap and good or maybe some bulpulp like that of china or france.

  • @shermanlee85856 I Personally Believe They Should Go Back to Using The M14

  • @KeeganAirsoft Yea m14 is far better than the m16 lol , and maybe even cheaper.

  • Now this is sexy

  • And how is it that we're still losing the war?

  • what if one of these guys fall into the water ? ... ok, come back and try again.

  • @eldiablo858585 waterproof? maybe?

  • useless , 5 years tops we gona have super soldiers that are computer operated which feels no pain , fears no enemy and obeys all orders , lets see this crap on a human stand up against that . waste of money

  • 15 killsteak use EMP lol

  • the soldier of the future will be more afraid of downloading constant patches than confronting an enemy haha

  • pretty cool....but in the heat of the battle, your duckin, bobbin, weavin, jumpin and all that...what happens when ya snag a wire..lol..BAM lights out...critical error and your fucked..did they think of that?

  • @ltuomela true...in war...u got no time for all that....lol. Tho I find it more suitable for a SWAT team or sumtin...

  • @SHabbIZZLEx yep...my thoughts to...lol..i just re-read my comment..i laughed..LOL

  • Aimbot + ghost recon= this.

  • He looks badass with that. Big gun and shit.

  • holy fucking shit

  • 10 Pounds!!!!

  • Dear Santa.....

  • I can imagine one of those soldies being rick rolled on that thing XD

  • Omg, And what is the soldier trained to do?, Fight, how can he fight when he fucking SMS'sing his team mates!!

  • what happens if you get shot in the back, you blow up into computer flames?

  • @thesimpsonsfreak101 "never turn your back towards the enemy"

besides, theyd be able to see what each soldier is seeing, so back attacks are unlikely.

  • .... you dont know shit about EMPs, small range.... bull shit emps can hit ranges up 2 hundreds of miles

  • .... you dont know shit about EMPs, small range.... bull shit emps can hit ranges up 2 hundreds of miles

  • dude that takes out their fucking peripheral vision that is fucking dumb they lose their whole left side of vision

  • lol do u even know what an emp is ... i think uu watch to much tv

  • lol... i new Ghost recon advanced warfighter wasnt all made up :p

  • Its like a video game.

  • this is just an american version of "le felin"

  • umm question. if the us military got EMP. wouldnt all there tech go down or they emped proof there tech?

  • @Chutneybhai

EMP don't have that great of a range and not all equipment would go down only troops that are around the EMP once activated.

  • @XxGummib3arxX well depends how big the bang. the future weapons explored the emp and saw it could wipe out entire north americas power grid. but it has to blown up real high in the air

  • @Chutneybhai yeah, you must still being smart if than happends, if you depend of the tech youre dead

  • @Chutneybhai well emps are only really affective when activated from very high up (nearly in space) and mostly the USA protects there hardware from it.

  • @Chutneybhai hey and whats the possibility that there is going to be an emp used by insurgents or talibans

  • @Chutneybhai

You'd always have the opportunity to rip off the electric scope, and use your iron sights, or your handgun ( I can ussume that it has no thermal, reddot, or other type of electric scope )

  • @Chutneybhai yes that's why we not only have bad ass tec but some of the best trained soldiers in the world

  • @Chutneybhai

EMP I'm afraid are completely useless, I talked to a nuclear physicist, who told me that the only way to generate a effective EMP is to detonate a large nuclear bomb thats blast radius would eliminate any target anyway. so yes the systems may go down but a millisecond later the soldier would be little more than ash...

  • @Chutneybhai

  • @RS114396 yo dude it doesn't matter any way you can't activate a large nuclear device without killing half of the world due to the nuclear fallout of the bomb after it went off!! you know it's not every day people set off large nuclear bomb's.you just can't do it and you actually spoke to a nuclear physicist?? if so were because they aren't exactly roaming supermarket's looking for baked beans with a sign over there head's!!! seriously!!!

  • @legion12ful I am agreeing with you, it is totally impractical and therefore not an issue, oh and I went to a presentation at the Cavendish Laboratory in Cambridge, they had speakers from the Atomic Weapons Establishment that said basically that but in much more complicated words I tried to make it understandable :)

  • arnt they using this already?

  • @OGdank13 No.

  • haha i bet no other country has this technology yet, usa fucking rules in military!

  • @metalmaniac21 good job revealing this into youtube which is accesible to everyone in the world while other countries had something nobody knows yet......kid

  • @metalmaniac21 technology doesnt mean anything usa got beat by vietnam with there tech lol

  • @spitfire550 wouldn't the A bomb being dropped on Japan during WW2 mean something with technology technology?

  • @spitfire550 certain mass tactics/strategies, maneuver warfare, jungle warfare [which the US and its western Allies not used to], mine/trap warfare and guerilla warfare, and even possibly tribal warfare, and also political and information warfare, is how the us got beaten in Vietnam.

  • I think that is a really good idea BUT

it will be more expensive to the government

if u have more than 1 millian solider what do u do every solider need his equipment

and this modern system so I think it will be more expensive

    solider

  • @5lktafjer then it should be only made for the Specials ops and thats much less money wasted

  • @5lktafjer You are right. And don't forget about cost of training, just to use this equipment , plus cost of basic military training. It will be expensive as training a pilot! And what if it brakes. Last, but not the least; increase weight.

  • This is crazy!

Do standard text messaging rates apply?

  • gonna be so confusing

  • IM sure if they actualy use this the soldiers would need training for it

  • It was ok

  • nice video 5*

  • ya me too would help to get more volunteer soldiers since we dnt have that many soldiers right now

  • very nice, i hope every soldier gets it eventually
