Especially since there are many good indicators that a wide range of strong, even extreme opinions exist in Iraq. Notice how the only 2 religious groups who are killing each other are Shiites and Sunnis you don't hear anything about the Kurds in the North sections of Iraq. Kurds are friendly people and suffered greatly under Saddams rule.
Unlike the Shiites who have Iran to help them and Sunnis who have Syria to help them Kurds have NO ONE! This fact alone could help explain why Sunnis and Shiites are killing each other; I would not be surprised if foreign fighters from Syria and Iran is the cause of all of this. Kurds have none and live in peace in the North, I bet if they had a country or a foreign force behind them they would probably try to get involved this in this Civil War fiasco
