I get your frustration, and others too. I'm glad that you're going to teach people how to be patient, because certain people somewhat rage when they try to draw after a tutorial video and it doesn't turn out how they want it to. I'm still trying to make my own style of CG XD. I will admit that it does sometimes get boring when I'm trying out different tools, layering methods, etc.

Okay here's my question: How do you insert textures and patterns into paint tool sai and then fit them on to a specific area? Like clothes and trees etc. That would be a big help! Thank you! :)

@MoonGodess157 you take a texture/pattern, put it over the layer you are putting on like the clothes, press clipping group, and set the layer to multiply, overlay, which ever suits you best.

you can also put the pattern on at first make a new layer and set it to multiple and shade on that layer with using a lighter black C: Hope that helped

If there's one thing I'm getting irritated about when I draw it's eyes. There's a key element in the artwork, but I wanted to know your take on simple questions like.. How to choose which eye style to use for the character, and most importantly, placement of the eyes at front, side, and 3/4 view! I came up with my style from taking pieces of other people's styles and mixing them with realistic elements :)

I definitely agree with you on copying a style though. It will hinder the copier, and it is so much better to just take pieces instead of copying EVERYTHING. It creates a lot more individuality. I mean, if everybody just copied each other's styles then drawings would get so boringgggggg @.@

I love your brief switch to an 'inspirational speaker' voice at 2:30ish and start using so many key inspirational speaker words.

I think making relatively short tutorials are the way to go. It allows people to filter the information in small segments rather than large lessons, and people are simply more willing to watch short videos in general. In fact they tend to be more willing to watch several short videos that would amount to longer than a single long one. :P

I agree with what you said about the whole whole copying issue. As I've gone on going making my own drawings and videos I've found myself just looking at what other artist do technique wise in order to make my own drawings have a personality more of my own. If someone has to copy, copying techniques is best vs copying form and when copying a technique, adapting it one's style is really important too.
