Esteban is definitely a great player, however, Charo is much better. And before you say anything, no, I'm not saying that because of her boobs etc... Charo is in my humble opinion the best Flamenco guitarist in the world at the moment, and has been for many many years!

i have an Esteban guitar. Came with a case and a stand and 10 dvds. And an amp. The guitar is a good guitar it holds its tuning very well. I play it all the time. The case and amp are ok. The dvds are good. Defenitly worth the price. If youre looking for a good maluenga or how ever its spelled look at ROY CLARK

I did a search of Igor and you are absolutely right he is great perhaps not better because they both have different styles and in the end is the love of music that makes them play. It would ironic that Igor and Esteban were having a couple of drinks and saw us arguing who is better - they would laugh because they respect one another as an artists. Good luck @moneyquickeasy :)

roland dyens(style=mix of jazz and classical)

andrew york(composes a lot of great stuff that he plays)

Esteban is not respected by real guitarist who know about consistency, expression, tone, etc. Hes famous bcuz of marketing.

hes not bad but my fellow guitar majors at my university play better than him.

if you want more recommendations just say so and ill type more in comments.

this performance is okay,he doesnt play the malaguena badly although the use of the rasgueado is serious overkill which takes away from the beauty of the song,l see one comment where someone said they would like to see him with jose feliciano,not to be unkind but esteban would be greatly out of his league,feliciano is one of the greatest flamenco guitar geniuses of our time

Personally, I think he would have. Modern music on the guitar can lose its appeal after a while, but true classical flamenco and classical guitar never do. I would be happy to listen to it all day, however in answer to your comment, I believe he would be even more popular and in demand had he continued true classical music.

You can't blame the violinist... it's either gonna be the sound guy's fault, or the mic on the camera. That violinist would have limited control over the volume... they would have done a sound check first, got her playing level and blended her with the band. So unless she was freaking sawing through a log on her violin, then not her fault.
