@TheNoirPale He could be playing it on either. The Emeralds are a black shape that flickers in a particular color. I think it has to do with an inconsistency between the recording frame rate and the frame rate of the player. Something like that.

I had the same problem when I recorded my game, and I played from my console.

Hyper Sonic can breath underwater.

Holy shit. This special stage was so hard for me, because instead of letting the bumper bounce me forward after being sent backwards, like you did, I would time myself and turn in the direction of the path, then press forward so I wouldn't back into the red spheres in the wall. I didn't even think to use the bumpers to set Sonic straight. I mean my way worked, but this made it so much easier T_T

Maybe Cybershell just doesn't want to pull fanart worksor flash appearences like Nazo Unleashed to do an Uncunt-o-meter for Hyper Sonic.

Hey I care about Sonic 3 & Knuckles story well techincally I care about the whole Death Egg Arc/Saga that goes from Sonic 2 all the way to the end of Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Mostly because it was a simple but effective story that had tons of plot and was completely silent with all the characters mimning the actions so I'd say it's one of the best silent stories told in a video game. And a lot agree that Sonic 3 & Knuckles story is better than the overly complex long winded stories *2bcont.*

Well, there's a reason for the outlandish difficulty swing in the special stages as you did them.

If you'd noticed the order they came in the Sonic 3 section, you went after the Super Emeralds in this order: 6, 4, 2, 1, 3, 5, 7.

Personally, I always go in reverse, getting the most difficult one (7) out of the way while there's opportunities left if I screw up. While I can perfect 13 of 14 now (only Super Emerald 4 I don't bother with), it helped when I was younger.

It took me years to figure out why that one big batch of Spheres turned into Rings, but...

The sides were already Red. You passed through the middle, technically causing two "squares" of Sphere combos to happen at the same time. So the entire pack turned into Rings at once, even though technically it was as if you'd circled two groups of Spheres instead of one.

Just a thought, but doesn't Sonic go Super in the Doomsday Zone...with the Super Emeralds? Plus, Super Emeralds = Chaos Emeralds of SA1 and beyond? I think I'm overthinking this...

@7chaoemerald He goes Super if you got all the Chaos Emeralds and didn't enter the Master Emerald chamber, and Hyper if you have all the Super Emeralds. Basically whatever Sonic's maximum form is for your file. If you didn't get all the Super Emeralds, then Sonic can go neither Hyper nor Super, and you won't unlock Doomsday Zone till later.

Sadly the Super Emeralds only exist in Sonic 3 & Knuckles and the flash movie, Nazo Unleashed. All Emeralds from SA1 and onward were just Chaose Emeralds.

You can use Hyper Sonic/Super Tails/Hyper Knuckles in Sonic 3's levels by finishing one of the save slots with all Super Emeralds and then picking a Sonic 3 level.

whats really cool about the Super Sonics in Sonic 2, 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, is if you get the standard Invincibility Sparkels from the little TV thing, and get the 50 rings while your in that and trun into Super Sonic, Super Sonic keeps the rotaiting Sparkles from the standard invincibility, and its like way more EPIC lol, (sorry about my spelling)

i like how the game kinda builds up to the last boss (death egg act 2) the hands are from lava reef act 1 and the laser is from flying battery act 2 (the ridiculously easy mini boss)
