See, I don't get that...I'm not on a page for fuckin George Bush right now (hey, you like him I have no judgement but that's my point, cute president but I don't have an interest on his thoughts about life is all) I don't look up people just to be a loser behind a computer!!! Damn, work on it for real!!!

  • do not think they did a good enough job over a beat from donuts sorry thumbs down for the roots.

  • @TheWhiteRabbit626 What? Well I would like to hear you do better. I can keep up with the beat, but its not as good as this.

  • @arker263 The fact of whether or not I can do a better job of irrelevant. I never said i could. My point being they ruined a track that isn't in need of lyrics in my opinion. You can't really even argue with me it's my opinion which your not going to be able to change, your going to change the way my ear interprets this?

  • incredible tune !! beware it will makes you extremly addict

  • I'm really mad for sleeping on black thought

  • @likenem don't beat ya self yo. long as you breathin and aint def you got plenty of folks to wake up and listen to. homeboy is mos def dope and that aint a comparison thats just me gettin out my point lol but yeah he is a dope artist lyricist and he doesn't get much love or respect to the young and restless of today.

  • Statement of fact (meaning opinion): Black Though is putting out the best verses right now and has been for a long time.

  • Steady instrumental and powerful lyrics. This is why I love hip hop.

  • 11 yeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • I'm sorry, even this.... is bad...

  • why the hardest rappers gotta be soo underrated, roots ar elegends, rip J dilla

  • DAMN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • gooood combo, no denyin' thattt

  • nasty

  • @quakes21 the sample is the worst band in the world 10cc mate :)

  • dope track. I always thought the sample was a Jimi Hendrix lick, near the end of 'Voodoo Child (Slight Return)...there's a lil' drum fill that would sound just like this sample if looped over and over.

  • 5 dickheads that doesn't know a damn thing about real music SMH what a shame... RIP Dilla Dawg!!!

  • the amount of talent on this one track is unbelievable. Jay Dee's amazing track, Black Thought and Dice Raw's amazing flow... this is absolutely fantastic.

  • the original is way better no doubt

  • this is such an innovative beat, J Dilla was pionneer for hip hop, r.i.p.

  • boy george rocks!

  • never thought hearing Rapping over a Donuts track could make me enjoy it more, but it made me listen in a different way. Good shit

  • @FieldingYost

well he was a producer and a couple of the beats on DONUTS have been used by other people

  • how did dilla die?

  • @MrShiftowns lupus, blood disease.

  • "La Peor Banda del Mundo" is the sample london 74

  • Please go out and find Blacksun and J.Dilla's Donut Holes mixtape where Blacksun rhymed over the entire Donuts album. A brilliant piece of music.

  • holycowomg greatness

  • Its a shame they cut out the end part of workinonit! Thats probably the best 1 minute on donuts!

  • @zsnake183

Yes, yes...J Dilla was an Alien...unreal what he touched and how it affects...good on u for your comments...

  • This is pretty awesome. I'd like to see more good rappers make use of Dilla's beats like this.

  • this is awesooooome

  • p.s. Doughnuts album = sick.

Doughnuts, Shining & Champion Sound are Dilla's best complications. Any thoughts?

  • i think you mean DONUTS****

    and "compilations" not "complications"

  • @Rochemann -I'm feelin' the Welcome 2 Detroit album though. 1 of my alltime favorite joints. The outro track "One"? OOOOH WEEE, I wish they used that one to rhyme over instead of shoutouts. And it's STILL tight!

  • 10cc godley and creme orignal, but a great rework..

  • Best hip hop producer to EVER live......Black Thought kills it hard.....proper compatibility full stop

  • please excuse my ignorance, but what is so great about dilla? I am not saying this in a disrespectful way or nothing, but many of his beats sound very underdeveloped and simple, can someone please clear it up for me in a way that is not laced with hatred for me asking a question about a legend...1-love

    -R.i.p. j-dilla

  • dude it takes some serious skill an amazing ear for music to sample the sick beats he did. Until you try it yourself you cant get a real appreciation for what he s done

  • I appreciate you not going off the handle flippin out and calling me a hater or something. I was really just wondering why everyone loves Dilla so much, I like a lot of the songs he has produced for the Pharcyde and Tribe, but they never really stood out to me, lots of people treat him like a god and I was just wondering why they felt that way....1-love

  • @k2stypoint- There's just something about Dilla's tracks. Maybe you're just not feelin' his style. Although it's really hard 4 me to see how you couldn't feel his beats. Have u checked that Fantastic Vol. 2 Slum Village album? Tight sh*t on that one, not as daring as his later work.

  • @k2stypoint mostly simplicity is the charm. the way he got simple things sound beyond amazing is just out of this world

  • J Dilla's ingenuity is akin to a number of the technologies we tend to take for granted. If we could deconstruct and reverse engineer Dilla's creative process it would be much easier to demonstrate how transcendent his skills were. In similar fashion (although their styles are quite varied), Madlib and Flying Lotus are able to reach a summit of musical integration that few producers can boast. Hip hop owes a great deal to J Dilla. I appreciate your respectful inquiry. Peace.

  • Yea no prob dude. Everyone's allowed to have an opinion. For me Dilla just has that true essence... it's like I'm home, or reborn every time I hear those dope samples he flipped

  • J dilla's ridiculous. I could see the workinonit beat in a workout video somewhere.

  • Anyone know where to find this New Years At Dilla's Mixtape?

  • it's a feat in itself to actually succeed in rapping over a j dilla beat from "donuts."

  • @Maztuhmind lol yea true. It was definetly meant to be an instrumental album but that last dude on this track really integrated that aspect of it well

  • @Maztuhmind so sad but so true

  • @Maztuhmind not if you know how to rap. in all honesty its mad easy.

  • @Jolumarrr

any body can rap. it takes skills to be any good at it though.

  • @Maztuhmind you said it best

  • Raw shitttttttttttttttttttttttt

  • godDAMN that shit is HOT!!!

  • Great stuff! Does anyone know where the "sleepy" sample at the end comes from?

  • it's not "sleepy", it's "fade me" and the it's from the song "the worst band in the world" by the british group 10cc. that's the song dilla sampled most heavily on the song.

  • Great! Thanks.

  • What a fuckin CHHHHUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNEEE!!!!!!!!!!

Black Thought is such an underrated MC. we need to appreciate him WHILE HE'S STILL ALIVE.

im tired of legends receiving thier fame after thier death (ie Dilla).
