i need help i was playing earlier and got into a jet i got a couple kills but at the end of the match i looked and it said i got no xp for the jet ... was this a glitch/bug or what do i need to do to get xp for the jet (it wasnt just 1 match it was about 4 that i didnt get xp for the jet even tho i got kills wit it)

@stealthypenguin134 That's weird. Did you actually get the kills when you were in the jet or did your jet crash by the time the enemy died? Because, if you're not in the jet at the time the enemy dies, the points won't go towards the jet. Other than that, I can't see any reason as to why the points never went towards the jet. Did the points at least go towards your overall level, or did you not get them at all? If you didn't get them at all it's probably a glitch/conn. prob.

i dont know about anyone else but ive found the choppers to be harder to fly ( more unresponsive and slower) i used to be able to stop on a dime and coul pull out of a dive fast. have you noticed that?

@ThaBassWhisperer Sorry I don't get your question; harder compared to what? Compared to BF2 or Pre-Patch BF3? Or do you mean in general? In general, some choppers are more maneuverable than others. The Havoc is probably the stiffest and hardest to maneuver, followed by the Viper. The Kasatka and Venom are about in the middle. The Littlebird and Z-11W are by far the easiest to maneuver. As for the patch, I haven't noticed much of a difference between pre and post patch choppers.

You can cap flags with jets, but it's difficult. If you want to try it, take the F35. It can hover and will be able to cap flags easily. You are more vulnerable to AA forces though, and the F35 is only availble in B2K.

@MegaMaster456 Exactly! This is why I didn't include Jet capping in this video. This video was intended for beginners who are having a hard time with aircrafts; there's no way they can pull off jet capping, especially if the enemy team can aim their rockets. You're not only vulnerable to AA rockets, but also to RPGs and even C4's if you're not careful. Thanks MegaMaster for pointing this out.

@NanoForce11 It should still work. I made this video after the PS3 patch, and there haven't been any other patches after that one. But, I never meant for this to be an exploit. It was just to show the fact that you don't have to exit the chopper to repair it (where you'd get no points for the repair).

@TheDanorte Nice! This is why I focus on vehicles. I want people to experience the full game, and you can't really get the Battlefield experience if all you do is play infantry. Let's face it, the vehicles in BF3 can be a little confusing or intimidating to new players. I wanted to make the vehicles more accessible to everyone, especially COD players making the transition to BF3. Thanks for the comment! I hope you try out all the vehicles... Also if you desperate for Jet points and can't land it at a cap point safely and you're the squad leader you can spot the capture points with heavy activity and for every kill a teammate gets in that area you will get attack and defend area points worth 20 and even maybe a spot bonus worth 10. It may not seem like much but if you can't get kills this is an easy way to slowly rank up to get the earlier unlocks for the Jet. :)

It does work for jet but only the F-35 jets as you can hover or even land them in low population Wake Island or Gulf of Oman matches or even if the enemy team is clueless. If you are inexperienced with the machine guns at first and can't get kills in the Jet neutralizing and capping a point will get you an easy 500 points. This is how I got my first unlocks and those are the hardest to get as the jet without upgrade is probably the hardest to keep alive and get kills..

@CIassyMidget1 Thanks. The only reason I didn't include Flag Capping with the F-35 is because it can be a little tricky. This video is directed towards beginners. When hovering with the F-35 to cap a flag, you're a sitting duck to RPGs; it takes some time to get back up to speed and make an escape if you notice that an enemy's shooting an RPG at you. By that time, you'll be done! But, you're right, if you can get into a good game where you can pull it off safely, it's easy points!

I used the scout helicopter tip once on Noshar Canals. I got 2 kills the whole match but got 700+ points just by repairing. We only got taken down by a pole he ran into also....

you can try and do it with the F 35 jet in back to karkand, you have just got to know how to hover over the flag, may take some practice

@jarrod6935 Good idea! I was going to include it in this video, but this video is directed more toward beginners and hovering so close to the ground with a jet can be a death sentence. It's difficult to make a quick escape with that jet in hover position. It takes some time to get back up to speed, and by this time, an enemy will have shot an RPG at you. It only takes 1 RPG to take out a jet. That's why I left it out of the video. But, if you're lucky, you can pull it off!

@ginosajii Maybe you're trying to repair the transport chopper instead of the scout chopper. Make sure it's either the Z-11W or the AH-6J Little Bird Scout Helicopters and make sure you're inside the chopper when you're repairing it. Your repair tool must touch the chopper to repair it (i.e. you should see sparks coming from the repair tool when you use it on the chopper; this means that it's working).

i've noticed that u always switch to ure hmg nd shoot the tank afta shooting the main armor piercing shell. Duz the hmg damage the tank ? plz answer !!! :)

@7M3K7 I got used to switching to the secondary while the primary cannon is reloading. The HMG doesn't do damage to tanks; but, it does damage light armored vehicles like the Vodnik, HMMWV and other transport vehicles. Shooting the HMG while the main cannon's reloading might also get you a quick kill if the enemy in the tank tries to jump out and make a run for it. Also, the HMG can fire continuously without needing to reload or cool down like the LMG.

@Tabinhu No, unfortunately, you have to be inside the vehicle when repairing it in order for those points to go towards leveling up the vehicle. You CAN repair a jet, but you can only do it from outside, so the points you get will go towards the engineering kit, rather than the jet.

@MrEZgames Yeah... I know what you mean! Jets are easy to fly, relative to choppers, but they're hard to get kills with, until you unlock the guided missiles. I'm not that great with jets myself, but if I can get enough footage, I'll make a jet quick tip video. If you're a beginner, a good tip is to go after transport choppers. Transport choppers are huge targets and if you're coming at them straight on you can take them out in one pass.

@TTaareKK Yeah... You can control it once it's launched. But, you can't move and look around before it launches. You can only launch in the direction the chopper's nose is pointing. To sum up: No directional control before launch; full control after launch. It stays in the air for about 5 seconds; after that it explodes regardless of whether you reach your target or not.

@TTaareKK I think it's always been like that. I unlocked it before the patch and it was just as difficult to control. The best thing to do is have the pilot dive straight down on a tank and the gunner launch the missile straight forward when he gets close enough. That way, you don't have to worry about dealing with the difficult controls.

@BONES8593 Hey thanks man... I'm glad it was helpful. Yeah, as long as it's a vehicle that can be leveled up, and you stay in it while capturing a flag, the XP goes to the vehicle. If you're in a vehicle that can't be leveled up, like the UH-1Y Venom or the KA-60 Kasatka, or any other transport vehicle, then the Flag Cap points will go toward your kit.

@BONES8593 About shooting the scout chopper: it was damaged in the air so I landed to repair it to get footage for this video, but by the time I landed, the chopper repaired itself. So, I had to shoot it with the SMAW to show you guys the passenger seat repair trick. I didn't mean for it to be seen as an exploit lol. But hey, if you're having a really hard time leveling up, do it. People do much worse things in the game.

@starstalkerz Lol, again, I think this would be best done on the PC. On consoles, the maps are a lot more constricted. Every time I've tried to taxi a jet off the runway and drive it around on the ground, it would crash as soon as it slightly nudges any obstacle. Even coming up to a bump in the road is a death sentence for taxiing jets. But, hey if you can successfully get the jet to a flag without crashing, then do it! It's easy points!

@TheRealMossi Oh there are not a special type of server. Just search for server names like "Fly" "flight" or "vehicle" and you will see servers where people do this.

they are usually 4 players and sometimes 16 players using caspian border or kharg island map. No one fight, just cap flags with vehicles and some jet players trying to kill the choppers.

I levelled attack helicopters and learnt to fly like that.

@starstalkerz That would be great, but again, on the consoles, we don't have the flexibility to actually type in and search for a server and all the servers are either DICE or EA. The only filter options we have are the maps, game type, and basic stuff like that. All we get is a list of servers based on our filter... the servers all have generic EA names so it's hard to organize something like vehicle training etc... on consoles. :(

There is an slightly easier way. Just go what Mossi said about capturing flags with vehicles but do it on the vehicle training servers. Those servers have players only using vehicles no ground units, So you level up really fast

@starstalkerz Thanks man... that's a great idea for PC players. It'll definitely be faster to level up vehicles on vehicle training servers. But, unfortunately, there are no vehicle training servers on the consoles. Consoles, only have normal, infantry only, and hardcore servers.

@aberbear I haven't had too much time to practice with the F35. When I go into the B2K maps, my PS3 always freezes after about 5-10mins (it works fine on all the old maps). And for the short time I'm able to play on the new maps, people are always hogging the F35. Once DICE fixes this damn glitch, I'll be able to get in an F35 lol.

@masoncoolbomb1 Sure man! The LMG's best for taking out infantry at close range. It has a high fire rate great for spraying down foot soldiers. The HMG has a slower fire rate, but is much stronger and more accurate than the LMG. It's great for engaging infantry at medium to long ranges. The HMG can also damage light vehicles and can fire continuously (doesn't overheat like the LMG). I'll make a Tank Set-Up video soon, like I did for the Attack Chooper to explain everything.
