Gave him drugs to prevent futher storkes and follow up treatments. We take care of our people Mr. Kucinich!!!
It may have been that he was lucky to have a fully non-profit funded hospital in his area, because the law is only to help somebody who has an emergency, as you said, but once hes released, unless he has another stroke, the law does not force the hospital to take him back for regular checkups or follow up medication, as hes entering the hospital of his own fully controlled unharmed willpower.

If 5% think they are worth 90% of US wealth, then we can think they benefit most from the system and should pay the most back.
Logic works both ways.
Also, my interpretation of uniform across US sounds more like no state can pay more or less than the other.
To keep balance between the states.
That makes the most sense based on the time period it was written and the problems of the time.
They didnt have a class divide to consider like we do now.

even if prices were a 10th of what they are now it would still be too expensive for many people.
It would still have costs in the thousands for many procedures.
A doctors visit alone along with 1 x-ray would still cost $75+ which is too much for some, and especially if they are not healthy for whatever reason
