  • Equally distributed health care? What flawed human being would be considered enough of a paragon to be placed in charge of fair distribution?

On the other side, he's absolutely and irrefutably right about the Federal Reserve and the banking system.

  • i dont agree with slavery in the least bit, dont even agree in immigration laws...these would not be necessary if we followed the principle of the DoI...each man is free and individual to pursue life liberty and posterity...but, today we have government stealing labor from those who work hard and giving back to others for votes...this is not freedom.

Slave is what i am today; 30% of my income gone before i cash my check...then more with sales taxes and property taxes.

  • pre-1913....also, remove Lincolns tyrant reign from the "freedom" era.

  • compared to our status as an individual now?

    pre-1913.

no income tax except when necessary...in a time of national defense; not to benefit a certain class of people...but to benefit the GENERAL WELFARE of the people...all 100% of everyone in America.

Now, tax the working class and corporations to give to the "lower class"...progressive idea that has ruined America and hence we have SS, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare, Food Stamps...list goes on.

    No individual responsibility any more.

  • Don't challenge a man who carries a copy of the Constitution in his pocket!

  • Right on!

  • "There's class warfare, all right, but it's my class, the rich class, that's making war, and we're winning." - Warren Buffett

  • I agree with 85% of what D.K. says, except on the jobs. Jobs are being lost faster than jobs are being created, and more jobs will be lost much much faster in coming years.

Technology Unemployment is Real and is what is causing alot of the job losses. IF we can change our entire monetary system and turn it into a Fully Automated Economy and make our lives more self sustaining, then we will not need the old jobs.

People can do what they want to do, instead of slaving away to Survive.

  • follow the Constitution and we'd be fine.. it,we worked in the 60's makin' 1/2 of the products on the planet.. give us our jobs back.. bring back Glas/Steagle and arrest Congress for Treason..

  • kucinich, the right choice since 1979.

  • Americans, please elect this guy as your next president. Stop watching fake news.

  • "Promoting the General Welfare"....

General, meaning, that EVERYONE is represented...not 92%...not illegals

Also, read the part on taxation (Section 8) after promoting General Welfare..."but all duties, imposts and excises shall be uniform throughout the United States"

Uniform...wow, we really have a Uniform system dont we when 5% of Americans pay for over 50% of the total taxes recovered.

  • If 5% think they are worth 90% of US wealth, then we can think they benefit most from the system and should pay the most back.

    Logic works both ways.

Also, my interpretation of uniform across US sounds more like no state can pay more or less than the other.

To keep balance between the states.

That makes the most sense based on the time period it was written and the problems of the time.

They didnt have a class divide to consider like we do now.

Not to the extent that is.

  • though there are alot of things they couldnt have imagined back then that would evolve as time passed.

They couldnt see the future and understood that the constitution as it stood wasnt perfect and would need to evolve over time.

Whether they would like what they see today is another matter.

Some were federalists, some werent. They didnt all agree on everything or most things.

it was all a compromise for the time, and who you think was right is who fits your current ideology

  • answer to all todays probolems...

Remove the Government control by 98% or more.

leave government to its proper role; protect the individuals Rights...no more, no less.

bunch of socialists ideologs in congress today...

America was once a great, free society...now, just another England or France.

    Pathetic.

  • Kucinich is a SOCIALIST flat out. Wants government to take care of its citizens cradle to grave. Thats not what this country is founded on. We're all created equal and we can make of ourselves what our efforts are willing to take us. Government takes away all incentives for people to work and get ahead....instead they will just wait for their government checks and healthcare and live unmotivated lives. Mr. Kucinich needs to go to Cuba....he and Michael Moore would fit right in.

  • We arent all born on equal footing though, and dont all have equal opportunity to get out of a rut we may have been born into.

You had the right kind of life if you believe otherwise, but your anecdotal story isnt truth. Its your own personal view.

The incentive to work and get ahad is within our human nature.

Some will never have it, and many will always have it. Otherwise the human race wouldnt have survived this long since we have always been with government of some kind.

  • How can Kucinich be wrong on so many fronts. He keeps asking "Why aren't we taking care of our people" Its the LAW Mr. Kucinich that hospital cannot turn down patients even if they don't have insurance. I have a friend that had a stroke a few weeks ago and no insurance. They airlifted him to a hospital. Ran tons of tests.....medicated him, treated him and released him. Gave him drugs to prevent futher storkes and follow up treatments. We take care of our people Mr. Kucinich!!!

  • It may have been that he was lucky to have a fully non-profit funded hospital in his area, because the law is only to help somebody who has an emergency, as you said, but once hes released, unless he has another stroke, the law does not force the hospital to take him back for regular checkups or follow up medication, as hes entering the hospital of his own fully controlled unharmed willpower.

Plenty of people die or are turned away daily due to no ability to pay the bills

  • one thing i like to tell kucinch is that promoting the welfare is not an article in the constitution. There fore that power is not given to government.

  • Article I, Section 8 of the US Constitution is:

"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States...."

The authors reiterated the quote again in the preamble:

"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare...."

  • And what was the founding fathers definition of general welfare. Who was it refering too?

  • At the time of conception of the Declaration and Constitution...in this era, the term "General" meant everyone...as in, 100% of the population.

The General Welfare clause was instituted into the Constitution as a way to utilize the enumerated powers; meaning, every enumerated power listed had to be enacted "generally"...towards 100% of the populous...

is healthcare in there? education? retirement?..no.

these are not powers of the government; although they had illegally hijacked them

  • The Fractional Reserve system will end as soon as people know what it is. i've never met anyone who actually knows what it is.Sad.

  • We need to support voices' like Dennis. To win his seat is nearly impossible for even a centrist. He is a miracle. Presidents have to sell themselves as "in the center" ... we are all refreshed by public servants who don't play that game. Dennis actually gets things done because he gathers those of us who want faster change together.

  • The FBI scandals the caller mentioned can be found in Tainting Evidence Inside the Scandals at the FBI Crime Lab. The agent (former) is Frederick Whitehurst.

If you haven't heard of either, you might be quite surprised at what you find when you do.

  • A voice of common sense and reason, how refreshing!

  • I wish it would be Kucinich vs. Ron Paul for the Presidential race. Then it would people who have faith in gov't vs. the people that don't believe in gov't, but the result at the end would be an honest President who would clean out the cronies and end our pointless wars. Kucinichs version of socialism is an honest one and Paul's is an honest free market. What we have now is corporations and Wall Street running our gov't. Obama vs. McCain was Wall Street puppet1 vs. Wall Street puppet2.

  • What we have right now, is criminal.

HOPE in one hand, and BUSH in the other.

  • I wish there were no limits as to who could run. Like health insurance vs. public option. At least there would be competition.

  • How about we have hospitals competing vs. insurance competition. then prices would drop. THey are inflated because insurance exist.

  • The AMA wants the public option. Doctors take an oath to save peoples lives. This must be tough on them.

  • even if prices were a 10th of what they are now it would still be too expensive for many people.

It would still have costs in the thousands for many procedures.

A doctors visit alone along with 1 x-ray would still cost $75+ which is too much for some, and especially if they are not healthy for whatever reason

HMOs may be part of the problem, but its not the main issue

Health care isnt a want, its a need. You dont get care, you can die. Its about how much we care about each other. Our humanity

  • Either way foreign policy would change and less government policing the world.
